is 1.5m the profit? what MF gives that?
Total investment oo, principal + interest.

and mind you with an investment of 15million you could get that in a year.

sorry to bother you. Can you please educate me on the mutual funds. How much interest, etc
interest is around 11% to 13% per annum.

so let's say you invest 1million by january, you will get an interest of 110k-130k at the end of the year.

I will advice you to diversify your investments instead of converting completely from mutual funds to uber. I am proposing that you probably move up to half of your investment into uber, so that you can have a buffer. Besides, you need to update yourself about cars in general, and uber in particular. Have fun.
I would have loved to do this but 750k cannot get a good car for uber.

Thanks for the contribution though

Why are u pained if there is nothing to worry about d mutual fund? I only told him to becareful, if u feel is a safe investment, u shouldn't be worried, because I don't remember quoting u in d first place.
LMAO, why would I be worried? I am not advertising mutual fund, in fact I am trying to move my investment.
I am only concerned about your misinformation, mutual fund money market is a zero risk investment option so there is no reason for your "be careful" response

A bird in your hand, is better than 10 ostriches in the wild...........
Yeah, I know that's why I am trying to ask for advice before venturing into it.

And mind you keeping a bird at hand is not enough, you have to start poultry or something with it.

we need to constantly look for means to better utilize the current resource.

Please how much returns can one get investing 500,000 in the Mutual fund?
they give from 12-13% annually, though it fluctuates per pay.

so with 500k, you will get an interest of 60k to 70k

Hello, house.

Please, I need your advice on an investment decision. I started investing my savings in mutual fund(money market) about 6 months ago, this has been fruitful but I think I do better by using my investment to buy a car for uber and collect a weekly commission.

I have been able to save up to 1.5m in the mutual funds, I know next to nothing about cars or maintaining one this will be my first car purchase, I am confused on whether I should get the car or continue with my mutual fund.

I would appreciate a matured response and if you have tried this uber thing before I would really appreciate if you could share your story

Thanks

ProgrammingRe: Why Do Programmers Still Look For Job? by Michael820(m): 7:31pm On Jan 21, 2019
asalimpo:
that word in bold is SUBJECTIVE. Some who think they are "good" would be evaluated as subpar by some interviewers and vice versa.
Some subpar programmers are actually handling good jobs while writing poor code that a better coder will hav to come fix in d future.
First of all I talk about networking, so if you are good get out there and announce it.

And about rating by interviewers, there are standard to this things, baba if you are Good you are good. And if one interviewer fails to see that there are thousands of developer jobs out there. Build a badass portfolio website show it on Twitter, write technical blogs post. Go to meetups, shoot your shot on LinkedIn

And let’s see if you won’t land a Good job in weeks
Or you can keep shouting there is no job.

on dev center slack channel alone you will get up to 5 gig alert per day. Not talk of angel list, Glassdoor job alerts, stackoverflow jobs
ProgrammingRe: Why Do Programmers Still Look For Job? by Michael820(m): 3:50am On Jan 21, 2019
Cause you are not good enough or not networking well.
And no programmer does it all, so you have to specify what field you want to work in, not “ I can code anytin” as you put it.

And there are a lot opportunities out there, lot of tech companies in Lagos, write to them, let them know your skills set and if you are good you will surely get an internship or a job offer.

Then there is freelancing and andela.
Ps
I have never met a good programmer who’s jobless, I have never seen one

If it’s too good to be true, it’s not true...

Getting it right now is not enough...

Opportunity does not come once...

I too matters..

You don’t have to get it right all the time, but you have to have more rights than wrongs..so you have to embrace failure and learn from it

If you don't have stong heart stay away from equity or anything related to equity you can get your fingers burnt. I advice you stay with the MMF. when the coast is clear you can do equity directly on the floor of the exchange or invest in equity related fund. it's my opinion/advice.
Ok noted, thanks

hello,
I concurrently have all my investment in Stanbic Money market fund, but I want to move some them to Equity fund for better interest rate cause I am of the opinion that Equity should give more interest, is this true??

And I would really appreciate anyone who has invested in this fund before to give me insight on the average daily interest.

Thanks

is she spending that salary in nigeria
She will definitely have a higher standard of living and if she’s prudent with her spending she will be able to save more then a she will ever do here.

And even though some things might be expensive there and she might be heavily taxed but you can’t tell me her standards of living would not have improved.
Let’s be reasonable.
