braimeddy:noted. u suppose to know the distance thing is an exaggeration. contradictory how? a For your information mr, I don't jump queues and don't u ever use the word "lazy" to describe me or anyone if u don't know them. |
My service started when I got to nysc camp in kaduna state. Blackgold as the camp was fondly called is the house of a thousand mango trees with succulent bright yellow colours. One wonders why it's call "Blackgold camp" instead of "yellow mangoes camp". The very first thing I noticed when I got to camp was the statue of a corper outside the gate right in front of the security post in between the entrance and exit gate in a saluting position. History has it that he(the statue) is the truest, longest and long-suffering serving corper that doesn't receive allowee. Blackgold camp is about 1000sqm/ft housing various corpers hostel, the soldiers hostel, the multipurpose hall, the kitchen, the mosque, the churches, the clinic, the civilians hostel, the infamous maami market and the parade ground occupying about 15% of the land space. The second thing that comes to mind in Blackgold was the water. Water is really scarce. I don't know if it's because of the fact that the camp is in the middle of an express or its just a north thing(no offense to the northerner). I heard there is scarcity of water in the North because of the heat, the heat! Omg! I'm still coming to that. The heat probably dried up the surface water I can't tell, the geologists are more than able to do justice to that cause. Another thing is that even the little water is dirty and some yellowish stuff is always on the surface making it look like Mr ibu and mr osuofia "16 puke combined in equal volume and pressure. The heat. I actually don't know the right adjective to describe this phenomenon. You can actually feel the death ray boiling your blood and damaging the integrity of the melanocytes, spilling their content and eventually resulting into the formation of dark spots on the skin. Prolong exposure to this environmental factor can also lead to mutation in the dna. Unity hall is/was the hall because it's opposite maami market and a stone throw from the parade ground making resources easily accessibly and the distance to the parade ground shorter respectively. Just has everything has its pros and cons so does unity hall. It's was too tight. If I had know I would left for camp on Sunday (camp officially opened the following wednesday) I got there on Tuesday and everyone in the bus that transported I and the remaining prospective corp members to kaduna were in the same room aside the girls. Unity hall looks like the letter "U" and in between is a large circular brick work and two tanks right in front of the circle. When I was in camp the pumping machine that's was suppose to supply this tanks got damaged and we had to fetch water from the main gate which was about 110km from the hostel. Despite all these travails, we all survived (21 days). And I most say, it was one of the most exciting moment of my life. This is for the incoming corp members and others. Ps: errors, pls correct if any. cc: lalasticlala, yokiti.

Godswillnwaoma:you a jw? |
Lordbammy:calm down there man, don't you know that some microsoft applications runs once your computer starts up? it's not a good idea to just uncheck all the applications running because it will mess with the smooth-running of your operating system. besides that, blackberry users should be watchful cos ur blackberry drivers has been set to start-up with your operating system. if not, blackberry desktop or blackberry link will fail to detect your device. thank me later. |
austinbrown:you must be silly. u think say everybody na bolo ni? |

Years ago, a young couple after struggling together for a long time finally had a breakthrough with an opportunity abroad. The husband (Thompson) had an opportunity to travel out of Nigeria in search of better opportunities for the family. The was an arrangement that while he was there, he would have to marry a certain white woman in other to secure his residence permit . His wife agreed as planned on the condition that he would take care of her and their Children as well as fund their business in Lagos. After he got married to the white woman and got a stay, he kept communication with his family back home in Nigeria for a year and equally kept other promises as discussed. A year after, he totally neglected his wife and kids back home in Nigeria. The white woman had twin girls for him. The marriage only lasted two years. He moved on with his life. Soon,no one knew his whereabout; both his wife in Nigeria and the one in Germany. However, his wife in Germany remarried. Thirty years later ,one of Thompson's sons Jacob, who was raised by the mom's sister in Ghana realised that his name and two other senior staff members were on the company's delegation list billed to travel to Spain for a seminar. There in Spain, he met a lovely Spanish lady Luwiza, who lectured at the university where the seminar was held. They fell in love and somehow she took in for Francis. While he was leaving Spain, he took her along to introduce her to his mom in Nigeria. The family were glad to see their son bring home a lady with the interest of marriage. Suprisingly, when Francis mom queried her about her parents , she revealed that her foster dad was Spanish while her mom was German. After several questions from the mom, its was realised that Luwiza is the step sister of Francis( the daughter of Thompson's wife in Germany). What would you advise this young couple about their marriage interest following this revelation?[b]Years ago, a young couple after struggling together for a long time finally had a breakthrough with an opportunity abroad.
