Politics / Re: What's The Difference Between The Senate And House Of Representative? by michkenokey(m): 5:56pm On Feb 20, 2015
Nigeria operates what is called Bicameral legislature. That is, legislative assembly with two chambers. The upper (Senate) & the Lower chamber (House of Reps) generally called the National Assembly. Members of the senate are elected based on the equality of all states I.e 3 senators from each state and 1 from Abuja making them 109 in all.
The House of Reps on the other hand are elected based on the population of the state. For instance Lagos & Kano are the most populated, hence they have 24 each whereas Bayelsa is the least populated and have 6 making a total of 360 in all.
The major functions of the two houses is to pass bills into law. After the senate must have deliberated on a bills up to 3rd reading, the bill will now move to the Lower chamber to pass the same process before sending it to the president for his assent. The essence of this double process was generally to guard against hasty passage of bills. However, this system is more expensive coupled with the fact that Nigeria's law makers are among the highest paid in the world! Again, only the senate are given the function to screen and approve any major appointments made by the president like ministers, INEC chairman, Ambassadors and High Commissioners, Chairman of Boards and other top positions. The House of Reps take charge of minor issues. Finally, the senate are better paid than members of House of Reps.

Politics / Re: 2015: PDP Rules Out Automatic Tickets For NASS Members by michkenokey(m): 1:48pm On Jan 07, 2014
Whether automatic or no automatic, PDP members knows how to rig themselves into corridors of power. Do non National Assembly members (they are one of the highest paid in whole world) have the millions to compete in bribing their way into getting the ticket? The PDP have failed us and need to be voted out of office. My problem is that their strongest challenger, the APC is an old wine in a brand new bottle. They are birds of the same feathers, who are only interested in milking the country dry at the detriment of the impoverished masses. May God help Nigeria.

Romance / Re: Pleas Help!!! My Sister Husband Is Asking Me Out by michkenokey(m): 1:28pm On Jan 07, 2014
Don't be in a hurry in telling your sister or else the man will turn around and accuse you of trying to seduce him. If you can leave the house permanently, do so but if you can't, then give the man the warning of his life. Again, try to dress decently. You know, at times you ladies will dress to kill in the name of fashion & probably you may be more beautiful than your sister. The worst mistake you will make in your life is to succumb to his amorous advances. It never worked for those who attempted it they only have a bulging stomach to show for it. But When worse came to worst, d hell must be let loose- tell your sister. Gud luck!

That's another Toronto certificate! Her likes are in one plum position or another. Round peg in a square hole! Only God can save us from the hands of these corrupt & self-centered sons & daughters of Eve called leaders
Religion / Re: Top 10 Richest Pastors In The World by michkenokey(m): 7:02am On Jan 07, 2014
It's a paradox that while many pastors in Nigeria for instance are living in mega affluence, most of their congregations are living in abject poverty! Yet, they are still expected to show their offerings to God at least two times in a week or more depending on the church, pay their tithes, do second collection, sow seeds of blessings, do donations as God loves a cheerful giver . . . What is Oyedepo for instance doing with four private jets when thousands of his worshippers cannot afford ordinary bicycle? Even if they are gifts from pple or that there wealths are as a result of investments in real estate, they should emulate the Malawian president, Mrs Joyce Banda who as part of a government move on austerity measures in October 2012, cut her salary by 30%. She recently announced that the presidential jet would be sold to help the poor Malawians. It's high time these men of God started doling out part of their wealth in assisting the less privileged ones in our society. That is how to be close to God. I however, commend T.B Joshua for his untiring philanthropic gestures to the
Romance / Re: What Sort Of Devilish Wife Did I Marry? by michkenokey(m): 6:22am On Jan 07, 2014
Your case is not far from what many men are experiencing these days. Men are now managing their wives and are no more marrying them. About 50% of men are regretting ever marrying the woman they married, 30% are seriously suing for divorce while only 10-20% are enjoying their marital lives. The reason is that men are no more looking out for the inner qualities of a woman but rather the outward qualities. Is she tall & beautiful? Is she fair complexioned? Is she a graduate or about to graduate? Is she a working class? Is she from a buoyant family? and so on. My advice to my fellow men is that when they are looking out for a lady to marry, they should focus their attention & look out for a lady that is honest, somebody that will respect not only you but your family members and friends; a lady that knows how to cook b/c the easiest way to a man's heart is good food; a lady that is careful, neat and ordery since your home is d mirrow of who u are; a lady that knows how to pray b/c the family that prays 2geda, stays 2geda and u know sometimes men finds it very difficult to pray; a lady u'll wish to be seeing every day without getting bored; a lady that knows how to manage when things are hard; a lady that has sth in her brain who can comfortably manage the home in ur absence etc. Therefore, my advice to you is that u shld wake her up one mid- night & try to tell her how much u love her & how her behaviour is trying to ruin their marriage, assure her of ur love & forgiveness and remember to carry ur request to God in prayers. Good luck!

Family / Re: Which Is Better: Boy Or Girl As First-born? by michkenokey(m): 8:49pm On Jan 06, 2014
Ur mum inlaw is talking as if you were the one that determines the sex dt comes first. Nevertheless, I personally prefer a female child first. The reason is that she will be the one that will be helping out in the family chores & also in training the upcoming children. Boys at the early stage are not always good at that. Good luck!

The NPF is flooded with inept, corrupt & ill-equipped officers whose stock in trade is extortion of money from innocent, law abiding & already pauperized Nigerians. When recruitment into the force don't follow any known due process but who knows who, what do you expect? Five of the officers caught should be dismissed and subsequently charged to court to serve as a deterrent to others.

It's high time the Igbos stopped playing second fiddle in this country. Besides, Chime in my own calculation is not yet strong enough to shoulder Nigerians problems alongside GEJ
Politics / Re: Pat Utomi To Run As Delta State Gov In 2015 by michkenokey(m): 6:13pm On Jan 05, 2014
Okey:
If People like Pat Utomi should be given the opportunity of ruling the country from federal to local government levels, then the much touted vision 20:20 will become a reality. Deltans should give him their maximum support for them to witness an unprecedented transformation. My fear is the possibility of the cabals hijacking the votes for their own selfish interest. However, I wish my able Prof., an economic wizard & a political guru the best of luck come 2015.
