Adaeze003: You trying to say that marriage is a one sided affair? That women have nothing to gain?
Marriage is a union of two or more willing parties. In the case of marriage between two, one of the party signs-up to support the other. What else do you want to gain nah? Would you be satisfied if i cut my head for you just to prove to you that you're not left out?

But wait o. Are the children not enough gain for the woman?

What I want to know is why many men consider doing housework an abomination.
Does this mean you look down on women for doing chores?
You have the concept of marriage all disfigured in your head. Honestly. Just imagine, you're likening doing your duty to abormination.

It like you get enrolled in school. They give you assignment and you call it abomination.
You for call VC make him come help you nah. In school, everyone knows his duty and does it diligently. Likewise political office, soccer team etc. Na marriage come get wahala.

I repeat. If you cannot do your duty as a wife in marriage, don't get married. Get a room mate instead.

Such bitterness.
Wetin I do you now?

But michky the Bible says you are supposed to love your wife. How will you love her and refuse to offer her any kind of help at the same time? Is that even possible?
Any kind of help? Please clarify.
At the same time? Please clarify.

Heavy stuff, bills, capital expenditure etc are meant for men. Kitchen cleaning etc. For women. So, you want me to leave my busy board meetings to cook for you abi? I marry a wife to bear me kids and take care of my home. If she can't, then the door is waiting.

You speak like women should really be respected. You ediots steal like men do, kill like men do, lie like men etc. What is the guarantee that while am doing the dishes, another man is not doing your dish some where else. Abeg joor, i marry you to support me. If you have any other motive, then i'll find someone else. Chikenah!

Later on you will turn around to claim that you are the head of the house. What do you think headship is all about? Youthink being head of house means relaxing and watching those you are in charge of face suffering because of you?
The Bible you follow that teaches you that you are the head of house also tells you that you are supposed to love your wife. If you love her, you will not make that statement in bold. You will not see marriage as a set up where the husband is not meant to help the wife with anything.
Hey, stop bringing the word "IF" into Bible matters. Besides, What happened to the Bible verse that says Wifes obey they husbands. Missed that one? I know what you are. A manipulative feminist that won't stop until she gets what she wants. And do you know where you're gonna end up? Single again. Most people like you will end up marrying up to 10 different husbands in one lifetime.

SELFWORTH: What do you expect?

Many people know nothing about marriage .

Many Nigerian women endure their marriage rather than enjoy it.

A lot of men here on NL at hypocrites and only represent themselves . You can help your mother but not the mother of your child. They complain about how their sisters are treated by their husbands but treat their women like doormat and expect love in return. To make it worse , they all get to the altar and promise to love their wives. Then again, many people don't know what Love is.
Guy, its best you keep quiet when it comes to marital matters. Ok? You're so wrong about this one. What is wrong with engaging the services of a house help? Who is saying the woman must compulsorily do it herself if she's too lazy to. Our point here is, no woman should impose anything on us as Men. Simple. If your head cannot comprehend this then keep the hell shut.

By the way, the society has molded you completely into being a punny. Am not surprised at dudes like you.
]No need for plenty talk. All the men saying they can't assist with housework should also not expect any type of financial assistance from their wives. No matter how dire your need for money is and no matter how urgently money is needed in the house, you should never think of asking your wife for help since you have refused to help her out in the house.
See them making noise about how they go to work and earn money as if women don't also work.
Are you giving conditions for your marriage? If he won't do house work, you won't give him a dime. Right? I see your marriage heading for the walls soon. Guaranteed!

You've gotten it all twisted. Woman is supposed to be helping MAN in marriage. Not the other way around.

JallowBah: Or; you both pay for the house and electricity and food, and have a saving account together, and then the rest, you spend on hair, clothes, nails, shoes, cars, beers, whatever floats your boat.
( If both are working fulltime... )
Look, if i don't have the means to act as a man should, i won't get married in the first place. Knowing fully well that in marriage, certain demands are required.
And if by chance i lose my job during the marriage, i do not expect that it would be right for you to ask me to take up chores because you're the one temporarily paying the bills. I expect you to help me get back up and continue to do my duty as a man rather than demeaning me to such level as chores.
FamilyRe: Dear Nigerian Men That Don't Help With Housework, by Michky: 2:47pm On Feb 13, 2013
ZIM DRILL: its not complicated as people want to put it, you need to understand how it began, then you will understand were we are. long back the husbans went to work while wives stayed home, that time money from the husband salary was enough for family (average family) so there was no need for women to go to work, wives would do house chores etc and needed no help becoz they had nothing else do, they would manage by themselves

now things have change money from husband is not enough and also women have been enpowered to go all the way like a man going to work etc , this is were our problem starts, men are forgetting that she has been to work like you and she is tired like you and at the same time she is supposed to do the house chores so since you are all working for the family you need to help each other with chores as well, if she is clean yam you will be cutting the vegetables, if you get home early take out meat from the deep frooze and boil it for her, than her coming at 8pm and start from zero to cook

when you could have boil it while you even watching your fav tv programm or even supervising the kids to do home and taking bath etc

thats how simple it is
Why won't you open your dirty mouth in public. I don't blame you. You can talk your rubbish because Money has ensured a level playing field for both gender. If it was those days where you had to hunt where lions reside, am sure women would gladly stay home and cook. Money makes it all easy doesn't it?

Now, a woman can be the boss and send the male messanger on errands and scream at them if they default. Now, you're carrying this mentality into the home saying since you both work, both have to share chores. Abi?

I have one answer for you. Marriage is an institution where women do chores while men provide. Just like university is a place where VCs administer while students do assignments. Try asking your VC to do your assignments for you and see whether your time in that school will not end. Same goes with marriage, If you don't wanna do chores (and don't want house help) then don't get married. Simple! Don't forget that the clock is ticking against you o. Many women are out there eagerly waiting to take your place if you don't know.
FamilyRe: Dear Nigerian Men That Don't Help With Housework, by Michky: 2:37pm On Feb 13, 2013
stagger: You are a wicked man! End of story.

You want your wife to die of housework, when she has a job and has to look after the kids: what type of nonsense is that? In my house, I wash the bathroom and toilet and this is something I enjoy doing right from when I was a kid. Occasionally, I sweep and once in a long while, I do the cooking. Sometimes I even pity my wife when she comes back home from a stressful day at work looking like she wants to collapse.

My helping with housework has never reduced my status in the house as the head of the house. Rather it has enhanced it.

How a modern day man whose wife goes to work (hard work I must say) and has to still bear the children and look after them should be be left to do all the work in the house beats my imagination!
You call him wicked man because he refuses to do house chores? Interesting. I think you're the wicked one. Knowing your duty and yet trying to over-burden the husband who's burden already is immense. Lets put it simply: You're a weakling. Not a man. You forget that these same women will turn it to their right when you refuse to do those same tasks tomorrow.

Question is: Will you divorce me if i refuse to do chores?

Yeah. Then i won't pay her bills anymore, then she'll rent her seperate place, then marriage is gonna suffer. All because one ediot of a wife is refusing to accept her duty as wife and either get a house help or do it herself.

bukatyne: My dear, take this advice first. I have stated my opinion and you have stated yours. In conlusion, run your home as you deem fit and I will run mine as I deem fit. Thanks. Have a nice day.
Obviously, you took my advise. Good for you. I hope you won't forget everything i've thrown at you here. BTW, no one has argued with you about how you want to do your thing. All we've been saying is throwing it in the open in the manner you're doing is very insulting and disrespectful to the men around (considering the majority of folks here). I believe its time to rest my case aswell.
FamilyRe: What Exactly Is A Man's Duty In The Home Nowadays by Michky: 12:12pm On Feb 13, 2013
As for me, this is how i want my things done. Husband pays rent, fees, and bills generally. Wifey provides everything the kitchen needs, feeds the family, sees to children welfare and ensures general cleanliness of the home. Ofcourse, every other man have edited versions of how they want their home to be run, but none of them would sign up for being share a chore or being asked to wash undies.

I believe this is simple enough. This is what i think a man's duty in the home should be.

Thank you.
FamilyRe: What Exactly Is A Man's Duty In The Home Nowadays by Michky: 12:04pm On Feb 13, 2013
bukatyne: That was not my opinion, just trying to reason along the lines of this thread. I also feel it's not right for the wifey to be working and contribute nada to the home purse just how it's not right for a hubby not to do house chores when he's at home. Most people who have these views use the Bible to justify them. Such women say 'a man that doesn't provide is worse than an infidel' but I wonder where it was written the woman should not contribute at all. The virtuous woman in Prov 31 is said to be a hard worker that provides food and clothing for her family. I wonder where she will keep all the money she makes. Misinterpretation of the Bible has caused more problems than we can solve.
Going by this post, i can authoritatively say you don't know what you want, just like many female folks of yours. You just see how others are doing theirs and you've joined the band-waggon without asking why they've chosen those lines of action. You very clearly don't know how things work but you feel you're in the best position to participate in the decision making process.

If a man, for instance, has all the wealth to carry both of you for another one thousand years, you feel its still your obligation to go out and do minor jobs just because you want to contribute abi? My dear, you're best a follower. Problem is you've been following the wrong persons or principles.

BTW, you're one of the ring leaders misinterpreting the bible if you don't know. Everything about you is praying for change but your ignorance and stubbornness won't allow it. Sorry that i had to be this blunt. You don't know me, i don't know you either. But you had better take my advice. CHANGE!

If you don't know where to start, ask me and i'll gladly show you.

bukatyne: So you compare washing undies or not to wanting to kill the husband? A little understanding will do you a lot of good. As I have always said, everyman to his own so why are you giving yourself an headache on how I want to live my life or marriage? Please keep your advice to yourself.
bukatyne: I don't think how your brothers marriages work is your concern. We all have boundaries. I'm sure your husbands does some things his family would find offensive.
From your post, you made it clear that it is no one's business what happens in the home of a relative (remember that you didn't add any exceptions whatsoever). According to you: We all have boundaries which i agree to an extent. But you now ask me why i compare washing undies to killing husband. Do you even know what you're talking about? Besides, if boundaries exist, then even if husband and wife kill themselves, its no one's business if i am to go by you boundary-philosophy. Girl, please think before your next post.

JallowBah: Deprived...? Lol. So a man should marry a woman just to have someone there, and not for love..? Nah.
You are still talking as if I make the rules in my marriage. And I am not alone in my marriage, which means I am not alone on deciding how the marriage works.
I did not give him any "conditions" other than expecting him to pay house with me. What do you mean I should have done, in the honor of african men? Told him to pay everything?

I have not asked any men to wash my undiessmiley I highly respect my husband, thank you very much.
Honestly, i dont believe this argument would have dragged this long if you had brought this post earlier. NOW, YOU HAVE MADE IT CLEAR THAT IT IS DISRESPECTFUL TO ASK YOUR MAN TO WASH YOUR UNDIES. *sighs deeply* Now you're talking! Now, we can agree to disagree on other issues. Good one girl. Good one.

bukatyne: I don't think how your brothers marriages work is your concern. We all have boundaries. I'm sure your husbands does some things his family would find offensive.
At this point, i dont believe you are fit for this type of argument. Perhaps, something a little more elementary would do. Just imagine, someone said she would throw away the bucket if she finds her brother washing wife's undies and the best you could think of saying is: is it her business? Wow. So if a wife attempts to take a husband's life, no one should interfere. Right? Well, i hope you know that men are also being killed by women in marriages these days. Lets hope one of your brothers dont end up as victims. Here's my advice to you Bukatyne, try to find a visionary man and give him all the support you can. Dont ask questions, dont make comments, just do as you're told. I think you'll make matters worse if you do otherwise.

sleekman: So you see why you shouldn't bring fairness into this equation but rather carrying out your responsibilities. Since ur hussy works parttime is it then fair to say that ur hussy is a roaring domesticated cat and not yet a lion? Just wondering if ur husband has a good full time job and he'll want to be bossed around? I noticed u brought out the softer side of you in ur last post. Would it then be fair to say ure appreciating ur husband now because I can surely tell you that if some ladies reading your post set eyes on your man then na wahala O! Lol. As she pointed out, the guy had been deprived of female companionship (in an alien land) for a whooping 9years! Its no suprise that he's eagerly jumping at her undies just to keep her in the relationship. Obviously, the guy is also very dependent on her. HE'S A SLAVE, DOING THE BIDDING OF HIS SLAVE MASTER, JUST FOR SURVIVAL. Just imagine, she even brags that he willingly does everything as if she didnt give him the conditions before helping him out. And Cameroon, I do not always play the race-card, don`t even try. What happens in here is that people start saying "you are not even african, don`t come here with any talk". It is a public forum, I can tlak however I feel like, the only difference is that I still have some respect for people in my words here.

Bah.
It is you that have a respect problem here. Let me explain better. Niki minaj (a popular American musician) was almost jailed for hugging a man publicly in Saudi Arabia. Why? She didnt respect the norms of the land. Same goes for you. Blabbing respect and bla bla bla; and yet YOU ARE NOT RESPECTING OUR DIGNITY AS AFRICAN MEN in a majorly Africa-populated forum. Its very similar to hugging a man in an airport in today's Saudi Arabia, if you ask me. You're unrelentingly stubborn and self-centred. claremont: My Betting strategy

I always bet in-play with paddypower.

1. Stay on the under 5.5/under 6.5 goals market. At 0-0 halftime, bet under 3.5 goals. At 1-0 halftime, bet under 4.5 goals. At 0-0 79mins, bet under 1.5 goals, a safer bet is under 2.5 goals.
2. Try to stay away from English leagues and other major leagues.
3. If possible, stick to the anonymous/unknown leagues.
4. Aim to grow the account by maximum of 20% daily till target returns is achieved. When you have achieved your 20% return for a day, STOP BETTING.
5. Do NOT aim for more than 20% daily return no matter how tempting you find another bet is. Stick to your strategy.
6. DON’T BE GREEDY.
7. Remember a safe return of 1.01 odds is better that a risky return of 2.0 odds. Choose safe over risk, stay away from risk.
LASTLY, have fun and enjoy watching your money grow!!! grin
New 30 day target-- £3000
Initial capital-- £1000
Start date—12/02/2013
End date—12/03/2013

12/02/2013--- £1000 capital
12/02/2013 returns---£1191.30
A game in Australia A league would have drained your account i tell you. With a goal scored very late in the first half, the match eventually ended 5-0. I think your system is highly luck-dependent, just like many of the systems that have come and gone. Good one though.
