Nigeria needs to leave that cult called OPEC. We need to pump our crude as we want and sell as we want. We can not be doing what developed nations are doing

Dangote has no reason to buy crude oil from anywhere except here. We need cheap fuel to drive industrialization and we can not achieve that if our refineries keep buying at international rates

But the thieving class will never accept that so let's keep doing the same thing and be expecting a different result

Foreign Affairs / Re: Meet Fares & Firas Muhammad: Muslim Twins Serving In Israel's Army by michlins(m): 1:04pm On May 09
What my christians don't know is that there are more moslems than Christians in Israel.

This war isn't about Christianity and Islam. It's war about land. Ancestral lands for that matter. Generations will come and go but there will be no winners.

Read your Bible and see how Israel has gone into slavery and come back to claim the land. So they're winning today doesn't mean they will win forever. Less than a century ago, Hitler made many of them deny being Jewish but today they have the upper hand.

What tomorrow will look like is something we can not predict for now but I know it's winner takes it all situation

what if she doesnt have a good lawyer, so what will be her fate

you know that marriage in Nigeria is between families

what if her husband family play a fast one on her and take all the documents
take documents that are in UK?

Everything you people say have been based on presumption and nothing else. If the husband wants to play a fast one on her, will he do the same on his own kids too?

Make she go fight her husband and scatter her family to get the properties.

Yea, I see it now.

Going through the court to fight for what is rightfully yours simply because the love of your life intentionally refused to include your name in the papers is just easy and logical way to go. Easier than putting her name in the papers from the beginning.

I am deeply sorry for quoting you, I apologize and I will appreciate if you don't quote me again.
ok she should simply fight her husband now and fight for the properties too in court.

The mistake is already made, the best approach shouldn't be a warpath with the husband but a subtle but defined tactics to get what she wants.

If she goes guns blazing, she will get next to nothing now but if she gets smart, she will get her home and properties too.

But who says the man will die first. What if she dies before the man

Just lookatchu . You are asking why the fuss, after she said his family is chaotic?

Why do you people love to pretend like you don't know what a man's family is capable of upon his death? We grew up on stories of family members taking over a man's properties upon his death, throwing the wife and kids out or practically leaving them destitute in their greed. Some of you personally know families who have suffered such a fate, yet, you act like these things don't happen or exist any more.

Lawfully wedded doesn't mean she will successfully inherit or contest ownership of properties in court and win. If her name is not on official property documents or the man dies without a valid will (bequeathing things to her) she gets absolutely nothing! His family can swoop in and claim everything, not even caring that he has kids, they will not remember that blood is thicker than water at that time and they ought to do right by their brother's children.

The entitlement and greed of a man's siblings, uncles, cousins and entire lineage can be legendary when he dies! It often leaves me in shock and awe, and I am not easily shocked.
those stories happened because people don't have proper titles over their properties. Men are wiser now. No one wants to die and all his sweat will go to someone else while his own children suffer. It doesn't happen again.

Moreover, the law has made it possible for women to claim properties from their own father sef.

This woman should simply raise this issue with the husband and discuss it as couples and not come to the internet where vicious people will advise her wrongly and scatter her home thereby making her worst nightmare a reality.

Why are you people intentionally ignoring the man's chaotic family? What if he dies and they accuse her of killing him? Strip her of all his wealth and send her packing or are we going to pretend it doesn't happen? How about they divorce, he will now walk away with her investments? I thought we all stan Hakimi because we are good people, didn't know it was because he is a male.

30 minutes of me seeing things from the woman's angle and I feel totally drained. Nawa ooo
lol. Where are the papers for the properties?

If the man is hiding them or she doesn't have access to them, she wouldn't have seen their title. The family are powerless in the face of the law. Accuse her of killing the husband while she dey Yankee is like pushing a mountain. She will just ask lawyers to transfer ownership of the properties and rent paid to her own account.

These are none issues at all

So then there’d be no fuss if the woman puts all the family wealth and property in her name right? After all if she dies, the man is entitled to everything she owns. No?

These are the sick devilish lies you used to deceive women in the past so they’d build with y’all and when you start misbehaving they won’t have a choice to stick with your miserable behinds seeing as they have no other choice
legally married couple and you are worried about whose name is on the properties. Let's say the man dies today, all she needs is to provide proof that she is married to the man and a good lawyer will do the rest.

In most cases, the men do it because that's the way it has always been done and not because they have any ulterior motive against the wife

I think the mistake is already made, if you make it as issue it might cause problems in your marriage.

Going forward, start your investments separately and You need to put your foot down. If he insists on joint investments, then make sure you see your name on the document before you contribute anything.

It’s good to be wise in love, to avoid stories that touch.

Trust me, I’m talking from experience!
see them. These ones are the reason you should keep your problems to yourself. They will give you advice that will ruin your home

Like this, it's to make sure that the properties are made in your children's name. Even if you start working, you can never make such resources again as you're already going down and will only retire and also create animosity in your home and probably divorce

The article is talking about revenue sharing formula and not increasing the VAT rate

Well I don't know about others but here's what I have done this morning. My son woke me up around 5am as usual and I helped him with his potty training. After that,we went to the parlor to play until 6:30 and I fed him. We played a little more and then the mother breastfeed him and then he went back to sleep.

I'm at work now and the mother called me on video call and me and my son did our little thing on the call. Those few moments are the most peaceful part of my day. I don't get to worry about Tinubu or the economy or anything else. It's just pure happiness and joy.

So enjoy your bachelor time while I enjoy my marriage

Israel don fk up this time. They're now seen as the aggressor and not defending themselves. This is election year for Biden and he wouldn't want to be seen as a war protagonist.

Several people and nations are currently siding with people of Palestine. There's something about human emotions, it's not stable and just few tick and tweak will change it completely

FG and the private sector.
that was what was initially agreed until FG frontend the contractor 1trn.

This is exactly what is the problem with people like you, you're so buried in your hate that you don't even use your common sense anymore.

Do you know how many megawatts of electricity this money can generate and the direct effects in the economy? Such drive will increase the tax net and government can have enough funds to venture on things like this

But DSTV too should just be moderate and considerate when adjusting their decoders and subscription prices upward so that people don't eventually stop patronising them.
have you cared to figure out what is the operational costs of DStv to understand why they charge so much?

DSTV will soon run out of Nigeria, just a matter of time.
Just yesterday, a DSTV dealer in my city who has been in the business for years, I heard that he's moving into electronics business because people have literally stopped buying DSTV decoders.
the reason people are no longer buying DStv is simply because of low disposable income. Na person wey chop dey subscribe to DStv. It's that simple

This reason also boils down to how terrible the government is running our economy

Benin City was a wonderful experience. The people, the vibes are just welcoming. Keke man will take you around and will ensure you get the right bus for your movement. He will even assist you in negotiating price with drivers.

About the food, they just keep it coming with the way it's great value for money.

Try and travel around this country and you will meet great and amazing people. Those toxicity you read on political section is miniscule compared to the awesomeness of the Nigeria people
