I got this information from calling the number on Grundtvig Academy website as they are one of the exam center in Nigeria. Although it is not a center for the August exam, they were involved in the March exams and should be at least"reasonably" accurate . Alright. Thanks for sharing. |

Nostradamus1: I spent a total of #42275 for my registration (excluding data , passport and other inconvenience) About the international passport, I already have a national identification slip so I guess am good to go. All u need is something of national importance including voters card. All they need is something to tally with the information on ur admission slip and their system U can dm me , but the biggest problem I am facing is that most of the files are larger than Gmail standard 25mb maximum. I am thinking of working around it . I have the NIN slip too, but someone said the only document you can use is the int. passport. |

All high school transcripts are evaluated by Augsburg and they do not require official evaluations of high school transcripts. The school's got juicy scholarships, I'll love to give it a try. Futuragetty: Lol. Neco results can be evaluated. I don't see any reason why it cannot be accepted for evaluation. It's standard matches and even surpass that of WAEC. Try ECE. . I didn't say it can't be evaluated, I said it's not generally accepted. I have had video sessions with various colleges' admission officers and I was outrightly told that they don't accept NECO, so am 100% sure of this. |

JustSomeDude: I do have a WAEC result but can I choose not to have my WAEC result evaluated, rather sit for SAT exam? . Yes, Its either of the two not both, so you can take the SAT, that way, you won't be needing WES Evaluation. (please confirm this from other sources, I am not 100% sure) |

sonofakin: Good day guys Is there any University of Texas at Dallas student here?. Or someone that has an idea of an estimate of monthly cost of living in Dallas/Richardson; especially housing cost. I recently gained admission into the school . Hi, are you for postgrad? |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Micholo5(m): 1:08pm On May 10, 2020 |
JustSomeDude: Good day. I've been reading a lot about WAEC result evaluation and it sounds confusing. Do you know what it entails? . Hi WES is an instituted body that evaluates credentials. So they typically do the conversion from one standard to another.(you know we have different educational & credential standard all over the world) So they help an applicant convert his result/credential to the required standard of a college, so the US colleges can have a uniform criteria for vetting the applicants. So your WASSCE result needs to be evaluated, there's a fee to pay for this service, I am not sure of the cost.(you can google WES EVALUATION, then proceed from there, you can also share your experience with us once you've evaluated) In my own case, I hold the NECO result which is not generally accepted, so I won't be needing an evaluation. Rather, I will take a standardized exam such as the SAT, ACT or other A-Level program. |

UNDERGRAD NOTE 1 . I think every aspirant needs to ask himself/herself the following questions. You should pen down your answers comprehensively.(Your answers to these questions would help build a better SOP). . 1. Why do you want to study abroad? 2. What motivates you? 3. Which country(ies) do you aim to study at? 4. Why this(ese) country(ies)? 5. Why are you interested in this college?(write for each college you intend applying to) 6. Why are you pursuing your selected major? 7. Why do you think you are a good fit for this college.(write for each college you intend applying to)
Like I said earlier, the admission process can be overwhelming. You'll write quality essays if you have enough time to brood on each subject. so I'll suggest you start now(FALL2021). If you answered those above questions sincerely and comprehensively. You would have prepared the skeleton for your CommonApp application essays. |

JustSomeDude: Thanks a lot. I've had issues understanding how the application processes work but this clarifies it.
If you don't mind, I'd like a copy of the format you you did your academic transcript so I can do mine with. It would be very much appreciated.
And who should the counsellor be?
Check out this school in the link below. No application fee is required, Standardised Test is optional, multiple scholarships and application is still in progress.
Inhttps://www.augsburg.edu/undergrad/ . 1. Am glad to help, the Application process could be quite overwhelming. If I had the knowledge I have now this time last year, I might have enrolled for Fall2020. Most importantly too, others could simply learn from this thread without breaking a sweat. 2. No problem, I'll drop a Dropbox doc. link, so everyone can download and view on their Dropbox. (I'll have to modify this post later for the link, might not be today though) 3. In simpler terms, In the US, the Counsellor is a personnel that acts on behalf of the school in relation to a particular student. So I would say in Nigeria here, that might be your Class Teacher, your Principal or someone who can act on the behalf of the school in relation to you. So the US Colleges will ask the Counsellor to submit your transcript directly from their own database or records. I suppose they believe if the student himself/herself was to submit the transcript, then it might be altered. So your Counsellor contact details would be needed. 3. Thanks, I'll check it out. |

JustSomeDude: Same here. I haven't taken any standardised test(SAT was cancelled due to Covid 19) and I haven't obtained my passport yet(due to Covid 19 still).
Do schools require a scanned copy of passports uploaded or it isn't required for admissions processing?
Have you obtained your Secondary School transcripts? And if so, how did you with everything going on? 1. Same reason too, funds inclusive. 2. Yes, some colleges do. I suppose they want to be sure you're not wasting their time. You won't be required to provide the data page of your passport until your application(from the CommonApp) is being received and vetted. And, you might need it to ID yourself when you go for your standardized test, but that's if you don't have a Government issued ID (confirmed for SAT, I don't now if its the same for ACT) 3. I haven't gotten my transcript yet, but I've done the skeletal work on EXCEL from my secondary school report card, SS1 - SS3(It will take longer if my school handles the academic record gathering and they might charge me more). In this regard, I have eased my Counsellor's work.(Note:The Counsellor is responsible for submitting your transcript on the CommonApp.) |

JustSomeDude: Thanks for your input and yes, I'm applying for the Fall 2021. And concerning the transcripts, Do I include my Junior School reports or only that of the Senior School?
Are you a first year or a transfer student and how do you mean by conditions attached? . Well, the conditions are; 1. I haven't taken any standardized test yet. 2. I haven't obtained my passport yet. About the transcript, most colleges require Grades(9 - 12). And that's JS3 - SS3 in our own case. I think SS1 - SS3 will do. (I stand to be corrected though) |

JustSomeDude: Hello house. I'm applying for an undergraduate degree program in some of the universities in US of A. An official transcript was required from my Secondary School but they didn't have a database as at when I attended school (2007-2012) and would be impossible for them to get my transcript.
How do I go about this?
Your advice would be much appreciated. . You rarely see undergrad aspirants on this thread. Anyways, welcome! You must be applying for Fall 2021, right? Concerning your transcripts, regardless of the fact that your high school doesn't have a database of records, as long as you have your own copy of academic records (Reports Card), you can give your school this for the processing of your transcripts. By the way, I'm an undergrad aspirant too, with conditions attached. |
