The number of games matters ,not that you will play one game and do well then you return to your normal position then before you will go back to that position it will be long

I don't think wijnaldum will be considered as a versatile player nor origi

Wijnaldum didn't start as a striker ,dude has always been a goal scoring midfielder and was even prolific at Newcastle, there a time he scored 4 goals in an Epl match .
During the formative years of his career the
versatile midfielder was used primarily in
an attacking role or outwide, before
gradually being transformed into a holding
midfielder during the past season under
Klopp.
Still utilised in a further forward role for the
Dutch, Wijnaldum has thrived for Ronald
Koeman’s side in the Nations League -
scoring goals against both Germany and
France to help the Netherlands qualify for
next summer’s finals in Portugal.

There you go Sir

Just check his whoscored page, check his matches for Wolfsburg

None of the above ,you won't judge them against Barcelona ,klopp has no option than to use them

And I don't think wijnaldum is a bench warmer

Both of them are not even versatile players ,how many games have they played from a different position compared to their wings ?

Compare it to James Milner
Origi played many games as a WF for Wolfsburg, whoscred is there for you. Wijnaldum started his career as a striker I think then changed, fact is he isn't even a natural CMF, he has played as a false 9, as a CB and I believe as a FB between this season and the last. Just say you didn't know.

You asked for versatile players, I don't know what the number of games they played out of position has to do with anything.

So because he played on the flanks there makes him a good winger ?
Ok let me educate you. Liverpool play wing forwards and not wingers. Mane is the only current Liverpool winger that plays as a winger SOME TIMES, Salah is a fulltime wingforward. For effect, wingforwards are seen close to the box, while wingers occupy wider positions.

Origi played the wingforward role against Barcelona and was brilliant.

Apart from James Milner and chamberlain who is versatile there ?
Origi and Wijnaldum

You are wrong.

First of all look at the type of players Liverpool have bought in recent times and ask yourself if Chukwueze fits the profile.

Then look at the versatility of the proven, tested and established top quality forward players in Liverpool. All have played on the wing at one time or another and we are talking about Origi, Lallana, Ox and one or two on the fringe.

What you fail to realise also is that most players and that's even established players need time to adapt. Chukwueze has just played one season of first team football in La Liga. Lots of potential but a long way to go.
They are missing this part. Liverpool benchwarmers are all versatile, so limiting the argument to LW alone does not rule out any of Origi, Ox, Lallana etc

Origi only plays that wing forward role when our other wing forwards are unavailable or when its not a big match.. go and check well... As for Lallana, even if he stays, there's no way he will b a threat.. He is injury prone! Same with Chamberlain..
If Origi plays the WF role when Salah and Mane are unavailable or when it isn't an important match then which one will Samu play? Preseason and friendlies? There are two questions I need you to answer;

1) Will Origi not be the first player off the bench if Liverpool are chasing a game? (Forget sentiments, only an idiot will sub in Samu ahead of Origi when he is a goal or two down.)

2) If you agree that Origi will be the first name off the bench doesn't that mean that when there are dead rubber games or need to rotate, he will be the first name on the team sheet so he can maintain form?

Now in modern football there is nothing like I can only play LW or RW, Origi is a player that can play across the frontline comfortably while providing an aerial goalthreat as well. So it doesn't matter which wing Samu plays.

Now down to Ox, Ox has gone a season for Liverpool abi Arsenal without missing up to 5 games due to injury, can't recall the year. He is Liverpool's investment in homegrown talent and if you think, currently, Samu is better or even if you somehow think Samu is better, that Liverpool will prioritise Samu's development over that of their homegrown talent then you need to check how clubs are run. Again, Ox can play LW and RW comfortably, that's two names ahead of Samu in LW or RW.

I personally wouldn't fancy Lallana as a LW or RW. His name popped up 'cause someone mentioned that Samu might start playing in midfield as the AMF which Lallana plays very well

Lallana and Sturridge are very much likely to leave this summer . Ox is an injury prone player.. Klopp won't be stupid enough not to get backups for that role...as for Origi he mostly play as a 9 .Only when one of our wing forwards are unavailable that he moves to the flanks...
You are saying the same thing. Origi can play that wing forward role, Ox can play it too, both will easily keep Chuks on the bench. When you analyse think about an ideal case, an ideal case will be that Ox and Origi will both be fit, where does that leave Chuks? 3rd option off the bench.

Lallana isn't moving.

So someone who claims to know English football just said dat Liverpool don't give dia players time to develop .Yet solanke ,Joe Gomez,Robertson , Arnold, got lot of time to develop but chukwueze case will be different

How can u say dat Liverpool is a club dat develop players and now u are saying they don't wait anybody (don't give people tym becos of chukwueze.)

Development of players have to deal with giving the players lots of Time to prove themselves.if Liverpool can't give chukwueze tym to develop dat means dey are not a club for players development.

watdafuq
kom_enkm is a fucking hypocrite

I bet if sonlanke can get game time without scoring till the end of the season, then chukwueze has more chances of getting game time

Behave
Has Solanke regressed? The Ibe that first burst into the scene did he not regress very well before he left Liverpool? What about Markovic? Getting game time IS NOT the same as developing. Robertson was already a top performer before Liverpool signed him, who is his replacement at 'pool? Arnold has seen himself on the bench a lot of times this season, if they had a better RB he would have lost his spot since.

Now down to Samu. Let's say Pool vs Burnley and he is subbed in and he has a stinker(every young player has that), then the next game against Norwich, Ox is subbed in and he assists two goals, that automatically moves Samu down the pecking order. Before he gets back up there again, Sturridge, Origi and Ox would have all had stinkers of their own and that will take a while to happen, so effectively he may see 5mins every now and then, he may still end up making 20-30 apps that won't sum up to 300mins a season, will that help him develop? Some weeks he will have to play U23 football

If shaqiri leaves, Liverpool needs Samu desperately, Sarah n mane cannot play every game, it's impossible, man city won everything in England because of club depth not just depth but quality players sit weekly on the bench.
Infact to compete next season Liverpool needs quality depth on the bench, let's not forget that they are not champions yet, they are still trophyless, it's basically same thing for the past 3 - 4 yrs.
What do we think caused them to slip 7 points if not fatigue.
You do understand that if Shaqiri leaves there will still be Origi, Lallana, Ox and Sturridge on the bench, all are easily capable of keeping Samu out of the team. Ox has returned from injury, except him to be the first sub in most games especially as he can play 'most everywhere. Then if you are a goal down, will you in your right mind sub in Samu ahead of Origi or even Sterlinghuh If Lallana maintains a healthy season, he will fight for the final creative midfield role leaving two core workaholics in the middle.

Bro, Liverpool letting Shaqiri go is because of Ox's return

When a defender is pushing forward to cause damage, you will not expect Fernandinho to be the one going for him. The center backs and defensive midfielders are the last call to press. Unless tactically you are tucking the full backs behind the dmf which was not the case.
Save this argument till I get home in about 30 minutes, I need to sign out and get home, when I get home I will look for a video of the goal and show you freeze-frames of the various seconds leading to the goal

I do not agree. I do not think a defensive midfielder should be picking up a defender on any account.
A defender who is virtually on the edge of the box? So who should have been marking him? Or more appropriately who should have gone to confront him? And what is the meaning of shielding the defence?

I have been following this thread for a while now and I have noticed you are always too critical of our(Nigerian) players and you also like to steer up controversy. well that's what keeps this wonderful thread going. On Ndidi's performance yesterday, his ratings from different sites says otherwise. The analyst that carried out these ratings cannot be all blind at once. is there something I am missing??
It is not about criticising or not, I remember against Algeria we scolded Onazi for not covering the guy that scored their lone goal and theGoodJoe was on attack mode against Onazi after that game because of that error, which Bascon can attest to, so him deliberately turning a blind eye to that obvious error is blatantly hypocritical.

By the way, I believe the rating should have dropped slightly because of that error leading to a goal, does not mean he didn't have a good game if the error is isolated and removed

it would be stretching it abit to blame him for kompany's goal. at the time vincent collected the ball and advanced ndidi was shielding the centre of the defence. when vincent advanced further ndidi moved to the left to help chillwell who wasn't closing vincent down. by the time ndidi was thinking of getting close kompany unleashed that unstoppable shot.

if i'm to apportion blame i would first query chilwell for affording vincent so much space to advance and take a shot. ndidi could be blamed but that would be harsh cos he was protecting his own zone so chilwell's failure to ward off vincent meant wilfred had to come over to help but bear in mind he couldn't have come so quickly because he was mindful of man city players around his zone.

after all this however i would choose to commend vincent it was a world class strike which he's not known for hitting it could have beat any team in the world
First of all, Laporte who made the assist was squarely in the middle so Ndidi should have been mindful of his position, then when Kompany got that pass I don't know why you'd be blaming Chillwell, the FB for that matter to cover someone running free in the middle? That means you don't know the job of a FB, if he rushes Kompany then he is out of position and that is a problem. Closing down Kompany is 100% the DMFs fault due to his position before unleashing that strike. Then when you consider that Kompany advanced well over 6-10 yards before taking that shot then it becomes a schoolboy error by the DMF.

Ndidi was at fault 100%

Not trying to belittle Amuneke here, but it might b possible that Uganda deliberately lost that game to Tanzania... they had already qualified and there was no harm helping their fellow east Africans qualify too..
Amuneke has tried with that average Tanzania team, but let's see how well they will perform at d AFCON first.
This I may not argue with. However they still had to pass the ball around and put it into the back of the net and they did that three times. Considering the players at his disposal I think he has done extremely well, Amuneke that is. not only that, i will pick ndidi ahead of onazi any day any time. Ndidi is currently one of the best young defensive midfielders in europe and top clubs will swoop for his signature if leicester decides to sell anytime soon.

onazi is more of garagara with no footballing brains. jumping into tackles and brutalizing opponents is not enough for him to be rated as one of the best in africa let alone europe.
The true mark of an outstanding player is that teams will be coming even when you are not for sale. Telling me teams will only come for Ndidi when Leicester puts him on the transfer market shows that he isn't that good and/or top teams don't exactly want him. Look at how Manchester United went all out for Maguire, did Leicester tell you they wanted to sell? Did they sell? Look at how Real Madrid is going all out for Hazard, does Chelsea want to sell? No team will want to sell their best asset except for the right price, if no team has come for Ndidi then that means no team wants him, not because Leicester do not want to sell. Only on Own goal and completesports pages will you ever see reports about a bid or that Klopp is a huge admirer and other falsified information.

No disrespect but the writer is just a ranter.

Ask that writer about Mourinho, he will tell you that Mourinho is a genius winning the Champions league twice.

However, he will not tell you that in the Inter game against Barcelona, Barcelona had a goal wrongly ruled out. I think a false handball which would have knocked Inter Milan out. I think there was a volcano in the previous game that made Barcelona travel by train and were fatigued with the only game Inter won.

He won't tell you that in the title against Celtic and Porto which Mourinho won the UEFA Cup that a Silver goal stopped any chance of Celtic equalising after they had equalised Porto twice.

That man will not tell you that in the Champions league Porto won, Andrade of Deportivo La Coruna who was a key midfield master of Deportivo was wrongly sent off and gave Mourinho an easy pass to beat them.

Three major European titles of Mourinho filled with UEFA footprints. Does that mean Mourinho is not an exceptional manager? No. I do respect him but picking things like that is just selling the narrative to run down a good work.
Also in that semifinal against Chelsea, Abidal was wrongly sent off in the first leg I think, nobody remembers that bit
