Keep in mind from the Europa league when he was still at Genk, I think during the group stage, Ndidi made the team of the round.

Ndidi has pulled stats that ranked him among the best in Europe and to boss a game with Ngolo Kante on the field is not mean feat.

I do not think Onazi has operated on this kind of level in his career. Either way, it takes nothing away from Onazi because the dude was a machine for the Super Eagles.
Onazi was at a higher level prior to that world cup and during that world cup, in fact he was at a higher level

and why did he leave lazio when he became old enough to become one of the arrow heads in the team to trapzonspor in turkey? you mean no serie A team was able to afford him nor any decent club from the epl, french ligue 1,bundesliga or even one of the 3 top teams in the turkish league. pls go online and check ndid's stat when he played for genk in the europa league before leaving for leicester
I think he was on the verge of signing of Liverpool or Tottenham before his lengthy injury after the world cup and he was never the same again. If not for that injury I can assure you that Onazi would have played for a top 6/7 team in England and he would have excelled

I think your arguments are not clear. I didn't say currently, I said Ndidi has not achieved what Onazi did over the course of his career.

What charlesemeka85 is saying is that in international recognition, Onazi has not gotten close to Ndidi.
Is that true either?? Onazi was a sure starter for Lazio at a period when they used to be regulars in the Europa league, he was once linked to a lot of top teams. For all the talk and stuff Ndidi still plays for Leicester City and no team has even brought 50m for him. It's all talk.

If Rohr takes Tanzania to Lesotho and gets thrashed who would complain? Tanzania isn't really a top team, but if Rohr takes Nigeria to Uganda and we can't even score a single goal in a friendly while Tanzania plundered three against the same team then we should complain

Ndidi does the same thing. In fact he is way worse than Onazi in the keeping shape department when it comes to the SE. Go watch our last 2 matches, he was always in the oppositions box. Onazi always sat back I can only admit that his short passing let him down at times but saying he didn't keep shape is false.
Onazi was very poor at keeping shape. Like very very poor, Ndidi is poor too but that doesn't mean Onazi wasn't

The game you mention was against Italy. I was there in craven cottage on the night. Bright Dike was just as good as Shola and and younger than him and had the passion and desire to play for Nigeria which Shola never did.

Having said all that in the season leading to the world cup Mike Eneramo, Brown Ideye, Anthony Ujah, imoh Ezekiel, Kalu Uche, Osariemhen Ebagua I can name more all had better seasons than Shola and should have been tested in the games against Greece, Scotland and Italy in the run up to the world cup.

Shola was not there on merit. I said it!
Bright Dike was injured, or he would have been there.

Anthony Ujah was at the Confed cup, and killed his career. The rest of the players you called are not out and out strikers so I wonder how they got into the conversation.

Now let's talk about Eneramo and Ideye. Please show me their stats for that year

Lol. Why should I pull him down?

I am just trying to be factual here.

He is not even the best midfielder in his team. He has paid his dues. He has tried. He won a champions league with Chelsea and an AFCON with NIgeria.

His stay in China didn't help matters. His presence in our squad in the WC 2018 didn't prevent teams from walloping us.

That's why I say we should try to look elsewhere. We don't need to be shouting his name once we loose or we don't create enough chances because the truth is his presence would not make much of a difference just like happened in the WC 2018
Seems like you don't want know what Mikel brings. I get it, he isn't the best midfielder in the league, not even close at all. But saying we can do without him as at now is not true. Not with what Iwobi is doing. When you are 1-0 against Senegal in the Semifinal, then you will understand how important Mikel is. Iwobi is there to create chances, if he isn't doing it then he should go to the bench for someone who can, but only Mikel can actually control a game, make it look pleasing.

I was referring to the away game against Sudan which was a must win and we ended up losing. Keshi called on Sunday Emmanuel from the bench to try to rescue the game grin

I think the 2014 team was very poor due to terrible selections. Joel Obi should have been in the team for Rueben Gabriel, Brown Ideye for Shola Ameobi, Sone Aluko for Uchebo, and personally I would have also expected Ike Uche have been there in place of young Nwofor. Shola had no business in the team even if we were naming 10 strikers!

Look at our bench against France again and you will realise just how bad the selections were. After Onazi went off injured we were left with no choice but to play the unfit Gabriel Ruben and promptly got destroyed by PogBA, Cabaye and Matuidi.

I expected the 2014 team in spite of all this to beat Iran, draw Bosnia and lose to Argentina. With this we had a chance of making the next round in which I expected us to lose with respect and head back home....and that was how it happened.

In 2018 I expected us to draw Croatia, beat Iceland and lose to Argentina. With a bit of luck make it to the next round and improve our game and with a good draw get to the quarters and then lose.

That didn't happen because Croatia were the revelation of the tournament and deservedly beat us and that was already game set match.
Let me make the Ameobi part simple for you. Ameobi was a monster against France in that 2-2 friendly game, he went to the world cup because of that showing.

Now how many players went to the WC just because of good performances against Argentina in that friendlyhuh But Rohr is not biased and Keshi is? Double standards Mate, double standards

If VAR existed during the 2014 World Cup, we wouldn’t have advanced to the 2nd round.

We did not play well and drew to Iran. We got lucky against Bosnia.
.OK if VAR existed in 2014, we had a clean goal disallowed against Iran, I have already shown the clips here this year look for it. So we would have gotten three points. Then Dzeko's disallowed goal would have been allowed so that means we would have still qualified. What rubbish are you then talking

Greece played so badly...ultra defensive football.. Otto Rehagel is a legend in Greece..who remembers Serbia that played wonderful football?

we still have time to rate him...Westerhof and that his compatriot remain our best...Keshi is better than Rohr based on the fact that he won AFCON..IF ROHR WINS AFCON..HE WOULD NOT EQUAL KESHI BECAUSE KESHI ALSO TOOK US TO THE WORLD CUP SECOND ROUND

let me tell you he can't try that poo in Tanzania they're already short of talents so...trying that will amount to failure.... but trust them to mess up when coaching the Eagles. ..because even the players coming to bribe them are somehow still okay and as such won't raise eyebrows...

Have you ever compared the salaries our local coaches receive to what Rohr is currently earning? And have you ever checked if Rohr has had to work for at least 6months without pay since he came on? I do not support bribe in any form, but if our local coaches earn well and on time, I dont think they'd need to take bribe.

Rohr has been producing results regardless of the entertainment value. He has fulfilled most of the targets given to him.

About the game yesterday, I can't see why you'll criticize the players' performance on that nonsense pitch. So Pinnick has personally, selfishly imposed this eyesore on the team. I'm sorry.
Bros even if you are playing on sand, you have to show something that distinguishes you as a good footballer at least. Blaming their utterly poor performance(against Seychelles, SEYCHELLES) on the state of the pitch is, honestly, rubbish talk. And they did train on that same pitch severally before the game

Oga the game has changed, teams are improving. Those past teams would have a hard time in the last AWCON if they had the same coach. We didn't qualify for the Olympics but that is what happens when u sack a coach and the players are not happy. Are u forgetting that even Oshoala didn't show up for the qualifiers?

Forget ur 2 team theory. Give me Edwin Okon and Rivers United and they will go to the AWCON and bring back that trophy. Don't go there because our league is jam packed with talented ladies who have not been given a chance by that bum of a coach. Our major problem is that the NFF know nothing about women football and they for the most part leave the team in the worst hands.
Simple and short. The problem here is Pinnick and his NFF-led board and how they have been handling the women's team, it has been absolutely appalling. Exactly why I wanted him to lose that seat then but OK

I think the spotlight tomorrow falls on Ndidi because Brendan Rodgers hammered on the Leicester City team playing with a higher block. Which means that they will play with a very high line of defence. He also pointed out of the team playing with a higher tempo which means they will build from the back at a faster rate.

Rodgers said he is building the defence structure of Leicester City to suit his philosophy and said the players responded well in training.

I have a feeling this will bring an improvement in the play of Ndidi and we might see him flourish in it because I felt Puel's system was holding back.
I think Leicester will play more on the counter tomorrow. This is Rodgers' first game, I doubt he will want them olayig a high line immediately

So because Buhari is richer than all of us we should not criticise him? See drop this narrative it is annoying. He is representing Nigeria, that gives us the right to criticise him because if he loses Iheanacho did not lose, Nigeria lost. I don't know him, I don't know what he will become and sometimes I believe he takes it too far with his criticism of Iheanacho like I have already told him at least three times but saying that because he is of the same age with Iheanacho and hasn't achieved much compared to him then he should keep his mouth shut is not fair.

Pep Guardiola praised Sterling for his ability to play in a different positions already this season, and the youngster says it was Rodgers who first helped him thrive in a number of roles.

“He was massive for me. Every manager that I’ve worked with I’ve tried to learn as much as I can and he (Rodgers) is one that I definitely learnt a lot off. Credit to him he was a fantastic guy.

“Playing me in different positions, making me understand the roles and maturing in certain systems… he gave me a lot of confidence as well.

Origi played U15 games in 2010 and joined Liverpool in 2014. He played for Lille FC before Liverpool. So your two - three years timetable falls outside Origi U15 era.
Original was playing U15 football till 2012 when he then got promoted to Lille's U19 side and then the U23 side, that's the team B. Get your facts straight.

Meanwhile even at that, so it is not 2-3 years but 4 years, so that's a year difference, I am not a scout and that was the range I gave you,I can assure you that real scouts to way beyond that so nothing has changed when the difference is just one year. Besides you start monitoring a player before you buy him, nothing is there to show us that Liverpool didn't start monitoring him in 2013 or even before that
