From today henceforth,i seize to support any agenda or struggle from our so-called lost brothers in America. If they can be this racist towards we Africans, then they deserve no mercy from their white masters.I will reserve my own bashing for the day another Police shoots down another one of the over there. Foreign AffairsTrump To Get Rid Of Nuclear Deal - Macron by mickeyenglish(op): 5:18pm On Apr 26, 2018
French President Emmanuel Macron has said he may have failed in efforts to persuade Donald Trump to retain an international nuclear deal with Iran.

“My view is… that he will get rid of this deal on his own, for domestic reasons,” Mr Macron said at the end of a three-day state visit to the US.

Mr Trump has until 12 May to decide on the deal, which aimed to prevent Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.

He has been a strong critic of the deal, calling it “insane”.

Under the agreement reached under Mr Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama, Iran agreed to mothball its nuclear programme in return for an easing of economic sanctions.

He had made changing the US president’s mind on Iran a top priority for his visit but ended up admitting there was a “big risk” Mr Trump would abandon the deal.

He agreed with Mr Trump that any deal should include a wider agreement on Iran’s influence in the Middle East and should cover the country’s nuclear activities longer term, as well as its ballistic missile programme.

He said he would work with Mr Trump to build a “new framework” in the Middle East – and especially in Syria.

PoliticsMega City Quest:lagos Attracts $43billion Investment Proposals In Three Years by mickeyenglish(op): 4:56pm On Apr 26, 2018
The Lagos State Government on Thursday said it attracted investment proposals approximately worth $43billion in the last three years owing to deliberate policies put in place to promote investment and enhance ease of doing business.

Speaking at the annual Ministerial Press Briefing to mark the third year in office of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Overseas Affairs and Investment, Professor Ademola Abass, said it was gratifying to report that some of the proposals have been transformed into actual investment in the State.

The Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment otherwise known as Lagos Global is a one-stop shop established by the present administration in the State to manage overseas affairs and implement policies to attract and promote investment in the State.

Giving account of stewardship, Abass said: “I am pleased to inform the public that within the last three years of Mr Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration, Lagos State has received investment proposals approximately worth $43billion.

“Following the vigorous pursuit of measures geared towards enhancing the ease of doing business, investors have shown considerable interest in tapping into the investment opportunities that are abundant in Lagos,” he said.

He added that since its creation, the office had inspired investor’s confidence in Lagos as a place to conduct business and live in, which had translated into considerable success, adding that it also pointed to the fact that the State, as an emerging market, was becoming the financial hub and a preferred investment destination in Africa.

While listing some of the major investments recently approved by the State Government which were facilitated by his office, Abass said it was pleasing to note that a foreign firm, LaTerre Batiment Limited has firmed up arrangement to build a new Island in the State, while another firm, Rockwealth Integrated Services would also commence redevelopment of Amuwo Odofin area into a mixed use real estate development.

Other major projects, according to Abass, are Detergent Manufacturing Plant to be sited within the Lekki Free Trade Zone by Gilmore Limited; LED manufacturing factory to be located in Epe by Low Energy Designs Limited; and development of energy savings streetlights across the State, also by Low Energy Designs Limited, while redevelopment of Makoko area by Bufad Engineering Services and reclamation of Land for mixed use development in VGC area by Ja Paul Lekki Heights Limited, were awaiting approval.
He said in the bid to grow the economy of Lagos, the present administration also identified key areas critical to growing the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the State including power, agriculture, transportation, health, tourism, housing, information technology and manufacturing.

He said the focused sectors have already been scanned for investment opportunities with a view to providing foreign investors with an insight into the opportunities that abound in the sectors at a glance, while the turnaround time for transforming proposals into actual investments have also been massively reduced.

Besides, Abass said as part of measures to project the investment opportunities in the State to the world, government would soon unveil an advocacy tagged “Lagos To The World (L2TW), which is a multifaceted initiative aimed at using various cutting-edge strategic tools in projecting and effectively communicating the investment opportunities that abound in the State.

“To be clear, the campaign has nothing to do with branding or anything of sort. It is a well-pointed strategy aimed at better communicating what the State has got to offer investors worldwide, as well as laying out the benefits that await investors who choose Lagos State as their destination,” he said.

Reeling out other responsibilities of the office, Abass said Lagos Global further helped existing investors by providing aftercare services and as well ensure the provision of necessary business support services.

“The office assisted some businesses to establish partnerships with Lagos State Government and to resolve issues relating to taxes, environmental issues, local government and land ownership rights, tax reduction, multiple taxation, land issues, infrastructure and partnerships,” Abass said.

CultureBlack Legends:the Legendary Warrior Queen Amina Of Zazzau by mickeyenglish(op):
All through various civilizations in world history, battles and wars have forged men into beings whose deeds have been imprinted in the sands of time.We have read about various exploits of great and mighty ancient warriors of old.Men whose extraordinary tales of conquest have been adapted into motion pictures not only as a form of amusement, but as a means of enlightenment to the public as a whole. We have had the pleasure to study the likes of Alexander The Great from Macedonia,Hannibal Barcka of Cartage,Hector the great Trojan prince,Achilles of the Myrmidons in Greece and,Publius Cornelius Scipio of the Roman Republic.Remarkably,in this same league, the World has also produced renowned female warriors whose legendary life has left behind,a trail of mythical awe.

Most western movie enthusiasts would agree that the mere mention of the fictional female character “Xena” sparks a flame of admiration in the hearts of those who have followed the chronicle of this epic personality.Having surfaced first in 1995 where she was a secondary character to an equally formidable male fictional and Mythical character “Hercules” in the series Hercules:The Legendary Journey by Robert Tapert.Later on,a TV Series based on the Exploits of the Warrior Princess Xena which aired in the US and parts of Canada was crafted and put in motion.Little did we know that this character was actually inspired by a woman who was not only a queen and warrior, but probably the greatest feminine personality Africa has ever produced. She is the great legendary Queen Amina of Zazzau.

The decline of the Songhai Empire gave rise to subsequent clashes which occurred among the Hausa nation and against neighboring settlements which occurred during the 15th and 16th centuries. The kingdom of Zazzau was greatly involved in this ensuing crisis due to the fact that it was situated at an intersection linking three major trade routes of North Africa to the interior southern jungles and the lands west of Sudan. It was during this time that a warrior was born into the royal zazzau fold. Born around 1533 to the legendary Queen Bakwa Turunku in the province of Zazzau which today is known as Zaria in the Northern part of Nigeria. This occurred after the fall of the great Songhai Empire and was approximately 200 years before the rise of Uthman Dan Fodio and the Sokoto caliphate.

The young princess Amina at the peak of her adolescent years was already proving herself to be a worthy would-be queen and a capable successor to the throne of Zazzau.Though not directly in line for the throne,Amina was lectured by her mother, the rudiments of being a queen and also took part in the daily gathering with dignitaries of Zazzau. Also,Amina unlike other young women of her time, had a very strong interest for the art of War and matters of military and strategy thus, her decision to pick a career in military. This she achieved by constantly perfecting her skills in training along with the cavalry warriors of Zazzau.Eventually, she emerged as a fierce warrior the new cavalry leader of the Zazzau military and in the process, not only acquired a great amount of wealth, but earned herself various awards, accolades and,the admiration of the warriors along her adventurous military career. This principally aided her ascension to the throne of Zazzau which was vacant after the demise of her younger brother, the king who had hitherto ruled for 10 years after the death of their mother. From this time onward, she meter-morphed into the legendary figure we now know.

As said earlier, this was a period of turmoil and wars throughout the region which proved to be a perfect scenario for the new warrior queen to carry out her military campaigns. The seven Bokwoi or original states at the heart of Hausaland. then were Zazzau,Kano,Garun-Gabas,Rano,Katsina,Gobir and,Daura. Her first real military offensive came few months after her emergence as queen. She quickly launched series of assaults against the six remaining Hausa regions until by force of arms, she was able to proclaim herself ruler over them hence, making them vassal states. There is even an account that stated that the ruler of the Nupe kingdom made a tribute payment of 40 eunuchs and 10,000 kola nuts to the Warrior queen thereby making her the first monarch in the Hausa states with eunuchs at her service. Furthermore,Kano and Katsina were also made to pay tributes to her.It was also recorded that she carried out an invasion on the lands of Bauchi until she reached the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south hereby, earning her the nickname ‘Amina, daughter of Nikatau,a woman as capable as a man’.

The economic implications of her many wars were fruitful. Her main aim for waging lots of battles was not only to conquer and bring more states to her fold, but to ensure that her numerous traders were granted safe passage to their points of destination. This way,she was able to boost the wealth and power of her kingdom with gold, new crops and, slaves.Furthermore, the walled fortifications found around some conquered cities during her reign nicknamed “ganuwar Amina” meaning “Amina’s wall” was as a result of her architectural ingenuity. The walls basically served as a form of psychological and physical reassurance to the people on issues bothering safety of lives and properties. Most of these earthen walls still stand as at the time of this writing.

Perhaps, the most bizarre of form of character attributed to Amina was her exploits with the male specie. She was known to have neither taking a legal husband nor bore children at any particular time in history. She exhibited a trait similar to that of the spider specie known as the “black widow”,who specializes in disposing-off her mating partner have intercourse. It was said that every time she goes into battle, she picks a man from one of her conquered foes and spends the night with the unfortunate soul, thereafter in the morning, she had him executed. Some said it was a means to ensure that words about her sexual escapade does not surface in the public.

During her 3 and half decade reign as a warrior queen, she single-handedly expanded the Zazzau kingdom to its greatest and largest in history, and also made it the trading center for all lands of the southern Hausa states. This consolidated Zazzau’s wealth and prosperity. Finally, the great warrior queen was recorded to have died during a military campaign at a site called Attaagar near Bida in present day Nigeria. It is still common knowledge that she still remains the only ruler closest in terms of bringing the region of what we now know as Nigeria under a single authority.

Undoubtedly a woman as capable as a man,no other woman in living memory has ever attempted such a show of courage on a large and deadly scale;not even the great female Pharaoh Cleopatra of the Ptolemaic dynasty or the Dahomey Amazons came close to her warring legacy. She destroyed the myth attached to women as fickle and emotional beings. Also, her legacy and time as a queen put to sleep all notions and stereotypical references attached to women with regards to their role in leadership and governance in a male dominated society.

The epic story of the great warrior queen remains a tale that continues to manifest in the hearts of mortals and all who see untold possibilities within the strengths of womanhood.Even in death, she beckons to all women to rise from their decades long slumber and walk the epic path she painstakingly cleared for the feminine specie centuries ago.Indeed,Amina is Africa’s and perhaps, without prejudice, the world’s greatest heroine figure.

The little stardom dey get inturn quicky blinds them from the fact that it wasn't entire by their own doing. The become oblivious to the very existence of them that made it all happen, thinking they could just walk away freely, having cheated another person. They become immune to the pain and agony they cost others.

SportsFurious Tyson Makes A Furious Comeback:the Re-emergence Of The Gypsy King. by mickeyenglish(op): 3:33pm On Apr 24, 2018
Tyson Fury has made numerous headlines since announcing his return to competitive boxing.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’has endured a scandalous few years since he last took to the boxing ring, battling mental health issues, drugs and a ban for the use of illegal substances.

Fury, who was in his optimum rage within the boxing world when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 on a stunning night in Germany, but his career veered off a cliff soon after. The 29-year-old rapidly became overweight and any talk of a potential comeback became a “wild goose chase”.

It has been a long road back for Fury, 31-months to be precise, but earlier this month he ironically announced that he will be returning to the ring on the 9th of June, against a yet unannounced opponent.

Fury said;“It’s taken a long time to make it happen. It’s been a long, complex drawn-out situation, but the important thing is I’m back to claim what is rightfully mine,It’s going to be one of the longest comebacks in history of a heavyweight champion.”

Nevertheless, despite announcing a date for his first fight in nearly three years, Fury is yet to receive his licence from the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBOC)thus, in typical Fury fashion, the 29-year-old has filled his time in pursuit of becoming a licensed manager instead and today revealed that he has registered Tyson Fury as Tyson Fury’s manager.

In a recent post on his official Instagram, Fury revealed the news to his fans with the caption:“Well then boys & girls I’m an official BBBOC manager. Thanks to the BBBOC for the opportunity.”

Furthermore, while we are certain that Fury will make a fine manager, everyone with any kind of affiliation to, or love for boxing will be very anxious to see him in the ring again.

The former WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO title holder has made no secrets about his desire to take on the one and only Anthony Joshua in the near future and what an unforgettable night that will be.

He looks to be in the shape of his life and is next opponent may witness a great boxing shock on June 9th,who so ever the anonymous challenger may be.

EducationWe Are Producing Lazy Professors, Undeserving Phd Holders — Ex-vc,ikenna Onyido by mickeyenglish(op): 9:04am On Apr 17, 2018
A former Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Prof. Ikenna Onyido, has raised the alarm at the rate Nigerian universities are churning out what he called lazy professors. He also condemned the way PhD certificates were being awarded to undeserving persons, describing such practice as more dangerous than the Boko Haram insurgence.

The ex-VC spoke on Monday as a guest lecturer at the 55th meeting of Committee of Deans of Schools of Postgraduate Studies of Nigerian Universities held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. He tasked the committee to design iron-cast quality control and adequate sanctions to curb what he called “abuses that result in counterfeit PhDs which are more of an existential threat to the country than Boko Haram, in the long run.”

Onyido said, “Over time, universities, along with other knowledge centers, have come to be regarded as key agents of social change and development, allocated with the explicit role of producing highly skilled manpower and research output that meet perceived economic needs.

The ex-VC blamed the ivory tower for allowing mundane things in the larger society to influence it.He added,” A very troubling phenomenon is the wholesale importation of the toxic values from the larger Nigerian society into the Nigerian university system, and the domestication thereof.“This negative philosophy has been adopted in our university system where I have spent more than 40 years of my life,This is why we have vices in universities such as cultism, extortion, sale and use of narcotics, prostitution, sexual harassment, sex and money for marks and grades, examination malpractices, admission racketeering, absenteeism, lecturers with multiple teaching jobs in the name of adjunct lectureship/professorship, plagiarism.”

Onyido added, “Research in universities the world over revolves around professors. That is why one of the criteria for making professors, whether by promotion or by appointment, is the candidate’s ability to conceptualize and execute research,“but the way professors are made in some of our universities these days is nothing short of pure magic. Traditional rulers and men of influence in the society are known to have led delegations to vice-chancellors in order to plead for their son or daughter to be made a professor.”

PoliticsLift Suspension On Omo-agege – Taiga by mickeyenglish(op): 8:12am On Apr 17, 2018
The President-General of the Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, Olorogun Moses Taiga, has urged the Nigerian Senate to immediately lift the suspension placed on the senator representing Delta Central senatorial district, Ovie Omo-Agege. Omo-Agege Olorogun Taiga, who made the plea in a statement, said the Urhobo nation, the fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria, could not be without representation in the Senate for such a long and critical time. “Senator Omo-Agege is the only senator representing the entire Urhobo nation.

For him to be absent at this critical time is unacceptable to the Urhobo.” Elections are almost here, we are discussing the way forward for Nigeria and there are many other critical issues, including the invasion of Urhoboland by Fulani herdsmen. We need Senator Omo-Agege in the senate to protect and defend the Urhobo interest we sent him there to do. All the UPU is asking for is the reinstatement of Ovie Omo-Agege and the UPU is ready to work with the senate to ensure his prompt recall,” Olorogun Taiga added.

Olorogun Taiga said the Urhobo Nation was the greatest loser in the suspension of Senator Omo-Agege and urged all Urhobos, irrespective of political affiliations and whatever would have happened before, to work towards the lifting of the suspension. It would be recalled that the senate suspended Senator Omo-Agege for 90 legislative days last week.

Hope it has been ratified '??

Yes! It has been ratified. It was actually the error from the so-called "accredited" center.. I became very skeptic after i noticed a lot flaws during the registration.. Those guys are quite dumb.. I told them i wanted to urinate grin, which was a lie, only for me to appear in another legally accredited centre. It them less than 15mins to wrap everything up.

Does this thing really work?

Basically someone adds you up, the conversation barely last five minutes, cos you find out the conversation isn't just flowing, or you have a fun conversation, but in the end it just doesn't get beyond that, either ways, it's nice meeting people.

Let's give it a try...

Luckily for you, things may just align... That's if you are not a Kim Kardashian wannabe or a bbnaija disciple.

What say you?

RomanceRe: "I Don't Go Through My Girl's Phone, It's Called Maturity And Trust" by mickeyenglish(m):

It's not trust and maturity my brother, you do that because you are sacred of the unknown.

Your case is like a foolish man who keeps having unprotected sex with random prostitutes and is very scared to go for a free HIV/AIDS test.

Better go through it now or forever live with the coming consequences.

BTW, spying or intruding on the privacy of your lover is actually synonymous to spying a country. If a country like US spies on its citizens, they are able to weed out the perpetrators of crime to save them and their fellow countrymen from collateral damages, same as spying on your lover, you quickly detach yourself and terminate all forms of treachery and false commitments with the postiferous vermin of a Woman.
