I appreciate your response. Please, I would like to connect with you via email. Sumji: I dint receive the email. Yes it's compulsory for the transcript to undergo WES assessment. Note that there are like 2 kinds of assessment for WES (under Academic purposes), and U of R has a specification. I think it's ICAP or so, that they require. You can confirm which it is on their website. |

You don't need to schedule an appointment for biometrics. All you need to do is to make your way to VFS very early in the morning to get it done. ManTiger: I've been trying to schedule for biometric appointment on vfs website since last night and my all efforts has been futile. Please what's the new procedure? Can I just show up and do the biometric same day.
Thanks
I've been doing the registration since last night and each time I attempt to log in, I get this response, can anyone help with updated information on how to submit biometrics? |

Congrats! Did you write GMAT or GRE to secure your admission to VIU? blackfarmer1510: Guys,
I just received Approval email this morning and realised my passport request actually came yesterday!!!!! Praise God people!!!!
I submitted all the other things required but I made bulk payments into my account and did not have up to four months statement.
I paid half of my fees for VIU MBA. I have a lot of work experience (since 2006) but I stated that I am currently an entrepreneur that just started my business. I have travel history to US, UK, Singapore, Thailand so I guess it helped. |

You just wowed me with your guru way of analyzing Application issues. Please, can I have your email contact for strict guidance on my Re-Application? mcobex: Yes you stand a good chance if there's progression between your previous and intended courses. Also you will explain why you opt for graduate diploma instead of masters in the field (you can easily get so many reasons for that). Another thing is this, since your company is the one sponsoring you it will be nice if you go for something related to your current job specification (vos know people can switch career), but you have to explain why the switch (you can tell the vo your passion and the fact you have been performing greatly in your newly found career interest made you to want to further in that line, also your company saw that in you that's why they are willing to spend that much to get you better trained in that field. NB: Whatever choice you make(from the above two) will work but your SOP will have to be structured to fit the choice you pick. If it your company that is sponsoring you then stick to a course that's related to your present job but if it is not your company then you can either go with something relating to your current job (by telling them your passion for it made you want to switch) or go with something relating to your previous study(and tell them you missed it and want to go back to it) |

Thanks for your anticipated assistance @mcobex In the meantime, I'm considering of securing another admission (graduate diploma) perhaps my previous visa rejection was prompted by lack of educational progression. Please, what's your view? mcobex: I will be less busy in the middle of July(2nd week), we can put heads together then to see how to get a better application this time |

Thanks a bunch! Being the HR/Admin Personnel of the Company; I solely drafted all the official letters to the best of my knowledge. Candidly, I need assistance on what to do next cos I've exhausted all my Administrative knowledge. Could the Visa rejection also be traced to the fact that I'm going for a Diploma? Kindly help. mcobex: I am interested in this case. Did your company state in their letter of support what they stand to gain from you after your program(why they are spending so much on you)? If they didn't then tell them to say " you have been one of the best staff in not just your department but the entire company, that they always reward their best staff with professional training so as to improve their knowledge and also improve the productivity of the company". The company should state what they stand to gain/profit from spending millions of Naira on a particular staff and how it will benefit you and the company. NB: Your profile looks very very good and if you can make very little twist to your app it should be granted. Good luck |

Thanks for your concern. I had a degree in Mass Communication in '08, with over 5 years of experience as an HR/Admin personnel. Basically, my knowledge in my present field was gotten from on-the-job training, hence I intend to undergo a 2 year Diploma in Business Administration from one of the Canadian Colleges since I had no formal certification of HR/Admin profession. In my previous Study Application, my employer stood in as my sponsor and every doc needed to buttress the claim was submitted: Company Statement of Account CAC TIN Cert. Study Leave Affidavit of Sponsorship Award of Study Assistantship letter Letter of Recommendation Other doc submitted includes: Tuition deposit receipt Personal Statement of Account reflecting a transfer of 2M made by my Employer, from the Company's Acct I submitted Birth Cert. Me & Children SOP Letter of Consent from hubby Survey plan/building Sketch of 2 buildings owned by hubby My Aged parent birth Cert & Retirement Cert 2 Vehicle docs Degree Cert NYSC Cert Official ID Card Letter of Employment Confirmation CV Passport Bio-data Page Change of name and N/P publication as regards Marriage Declaration sleekysoft: Kindly state what you studied, what you going for, experience and others I believe all you need to do is to twerk a bit on your explanation.
TIPS- please when writing SOO etc stop for once and think like a Canadian visa officer who is going to treat yourself.. you are your greatest critic.. read your SOp to yourself ask yourself if someone gives you this letter from other country as explaination on wanting to come to your country will you buy it.. TO THOSE who think it’s going be an easy ride... dear sirs/mas it won’t .. I started my research work and believe me I had malaria symptoms doing a test run lol.. all the I will work and study( don’t worry all is good that won’t come easy too( speaking from experience).. please also be ready for a cultural shock, change and even weather and could get depressing and boring when you got no family around
To all those who need SoP abeg no vex my laptop never ready or wait sef I can use school own.. kindly mail me for those who need SOP sample thanks..
Big up Austacus, naijaforeigner, ibbond, josejonn, and also Frankrobben.. I lowkey miss 9ja food sha.. ain’t no joy in paying 20$( 6000N) to make vegetable with no dried fish lmao
Love you guess |

I just received my GCMS note. Please, I need the assistance of the experienced gurus to help analyze it and perhaps suggest a way forward.
GCMS note reads:
''I have reviewed the application. Taking the applicant's plan os studies into account, the applicant does not appear to be sufficiently well established that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Given family ties or economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant's incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country. The applicant's plan of studies appears vague and poorly documented. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application." |

Reasons for Visa Refusal: i. Refusal based on family ties in Canada and in my country of residence
ii. Refusal based on purpose of Visit
iii. Refusal based on Personal Assets and Financial status.
******My Application Background****** i. I am married with two kids (age 7 & 5), but they aren't going with me
ii. My only sponsor was my Company and I submitted official documents as regards: CAC, TAX ID, Study Leave, Company's SOA, Affidavit of Support, My official ID Card, Official Letter of Award of Study Assistantship
iii. I submitted my SOA with 2m+ which the company transferred into my account as the initial fund for study assistantship iv. SOP (I referenced how my parents influenced my business traits from childhood which prompted my intention of returning back to school to study Business Administration at the basic level i.e Diploma. I supported this assertion with dad & Mum's Birth Cert/Retirement Certificate Note: I have a B.A in Mass Communication but my job experiences have always been in the field of BUsiness ) v. Survey plan of a land property having 2 buildings on it (Bungalow & a storey building) owned by my husband vi. 2 Vehicle papers vii. CV viii. My Children's Birth Cert ix. Hubby's letter of consent to take care of my children and aged parent financially while I'm away until my return after study
Please, let the gurus in the house dissect my previous Application info and guide me towards my reapplication intention |
