Nigerian Banks have been putting immeasurable efforts to simply financial transactions and to make life easier for their customers. Before now the banking technologies available were mobile banking, mobile money, internet banking, ATM transactions. But now banking on phone via USSD codes without internet connection. Kudos to technology.

In this article, I will explicitly explain to you how you transfer money (Fund) from one bank to another through your mobile phone using just USSD codes. An awesome feature of this technology is that it does not require internet connections and the USSD codes are the same regardless of the type of phone. It works fine even on Java phones.

What is a USSD Code?

USSD as an acronym means Unstructured Supplementary Service Data. It is a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication technology that is used to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network. Applications may include prepaid roaming or mobile chatting. An example is the code you use to load recharge card or check airtime balance on MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat.
More Details About Money Transfer Through Mobile Phones

• To transfer funds to a friend, using same bank as you or to other bank, all you have to do dial the code associated to your bank (will be given to you below) after which you follow the instructions there after.

• You need to carry this out on the mobile phone number registered to your bank account.

• Some banks require registration after which they will generate a pin code for you. Before this service can be activated on your account and linked to your phone number.

• Different banks have different amount limit you can transfer via USSD codes daily and weekly, just like in most mobile app transfer.

• This service is free to use. However, transfer charges, terms and conditions apply.

CATEGORIES AND CONSEQUENCES OF CURSES

In this article, I will explicitly explain the meaning of curse, types and consequences of curses. I will also relate to you those who have the power and authority to break or revoke curses.
Most problems seem very complicated because the root of such problems have not been known.
Categories And Consequences Of Curses

What is a curse?

A curse is a word, phrase or sentence calling for the punishment, injury or somebody or something. For one to be under a curse means the person is under punishment, torment and also destined to destruction. The main cause of curse is sin. But there are curses laid by devil and his human agents.

CATEGORIES/TYPES OF CURSES
There are many types of sins but they are categorized into these two:
• Self-invoked Curses
• Curses Brought by Other People

Now let me analyze them one after the other.
1. SELF-INVOKED CURSES

As the name implies, these are the types of curses one brings upon himself through his words, actions or characters. For example, when one steals or fornicates, he brings curse upon himself automatically. Also some people cause themselves unknowingly.
2. CURSES BROUGHT BY OTHER PEOPLE

Most types of curses that people suffer fall under this category and the consequences are more severe. The main type of curse under this category is Ancestral or Generational curses.
What are Ancestral or Generational Curses?

They are curses one inherits from his parents or fore father. These types of curses are transferred from one generation to another unless these curses are destroyed or revoked. Many people suffer generational curses unknowingly. Ancestral curses go far up to the fourth and fifth generations (200 to 250 years).
Consequences of Curses

There are many consequences of curses, but in this article, I will discuss only four of them. Some of the consequences are:
• Delays, Setbacks or Failure
• Epidemic, Disease or Ill Health
• Anger
• Death
Now let me analyze them briefly.

Computers / How I Hard Reset My Android Smartphone by microsofttutor(m): 5:18am On Oct 22, 2016
Has your Android Smartphone disappointed you before? There are many abnormalities such as slow response or no response at all, forgotten password (this is the most disheartening of all).

I have once experienced it. I had already set a password for my phone before its phone screen and touch pad became faulty. I was very disappointed, so I had to search for solution online. It was not easy finding a useful solution. I had no other option than to hard reset it.
Hard resetting your android phone can really solve many issues and malfunctions. Different Android devices have different way to hard format them. In my own case, I had to try many different solutions before I finally tried the one that solved my issue. My Phone was Tecno P5.
So I will list all the possible ways to hard reset different Android Smart Phones. Just try each of them carefully and tell me the one that worked for you.

NOTES:
• Your phone must be off before you can be able to hard reset it. So make sure your phone is off (I don’t mean low battery). If you are finding hard to switch off your mobile phone, just remove the battery and insert it back.
• Also make sure that your phone is not plugged into a charger. If the phone is plugged into a charger or if the device is not fully powered off, the reset is not going to work.
• Phone reset is permanent and cannot be undone. It will erase all personal data and downloaded content on the phone, don’t worry it will not affect or erase your memory card or anything saved on your SIM card. This includes content such as pictures, ringtones, texts, apps, etc. and will usually fix software glitches, bugs, viruses, etc. Try if at all possible, to perform a backup first. Usually when you need to perform an alternate reset on your mobile phone you might not be able to do a backup.
• If you own an Android Smartphone manufactured by Pantech then unfortunately you cannot perform an alternative reset on your device. Pantech Smartphones currently do not have a hard reset feature; the only reset available on Pantech phones is through the settings.
Different Methods and Procedures to Hard Reset Your Android Phone
Try each of these methods carefully and tell us the one that worked for you. For each of these methods, you’re going to power the phone off, hold a specified set of keys to access a fast boot, testing or recovery screen. Solution nine worked for me.
Method One

èWhen the phone is powered off, press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down keys both at the same time, then press and hold the Power key until a test screen that shows some available options appears, usually takes about 15-20 seconds. When that screen pops up you can let go of the keys.
èPress the Volume Down key to navigate down through the options until it highlights FACTORY RESET then press the Power key to select it.

Religion / The Importance Of Endurance, Obedience And Gratitude.- Sunday Reflection by microsofttutor(m): 1:58am On Oct 14, 2016
9 October, 2016
1st READING (2 Kings 5: 14-17)
2nd READING (2 Timothy 2: 8-13
GOSPEL (Luke 17: 11-19)
Today’s first reading and gospel has similar message which the importance of obedience and gratitude. The second reading tells us the importance of Endurance.

The second reading tells us the story of Elisha and Naaman the Chief-Commander of the Syrian army. When Elisha told him to go and immerse himself seven times in the Jordan River because he was a leper, he saw it as an insult, when he later changed his mind did it, he was healed of his leprosy. Naaman was healed because he later obeyed God’s instruction through Elisha. This was the reward for his obedience.

Also, in the gospel, ten lepers asked Jesus for healing and Jesus told them to go and show themselves to a priest (this is a test of faith). As they turned to go, they were healed (the reward for their obedience).
So whenever we obey God’s commands, he always rewards us. Learn to obey God’s instructions, especially the ones from his priests. Neglect not the instructions of the priests of God because God always speaks to us through them.

Another lesson from these two passages of the scripture is the importance of being thankfulness or grateful to God and to our fellow man whenever we receive favour. Also, the quickest way to receive favour from God is to thank him for the things he had already done for you. Most times, God expects thanksgiving from us. A story goes like this:

Introduction

• Nigeria’s quest for sustainable and efficient power supply is the main issue debilitating the economy of the country apart from its overdependence on crude oil and it has risen to a critical point.

• Very high cost of running diesel electricity generators

• Hence the analysis of solar power, challenges and cost of its operation was carried for telecommunication BTS site in Port Harcourt Nigeria as case study.

• Field data collection was carried out to ascertain the average load size of a telecommunication BTS in Port Harcourt Nigeria and proper computation of the solar sizing.

• This could reduce telecom operator’s OPEX, and is a green, efficient source of electrical power.
Background

• Nigeria has average sunshine hours of about 6.5 hours across the federation.

• During the day it is estimated that Nigeria receives about 4.851x10¹² kWh of energy from the sun.

• All this energy is equivalent to about 1.082 million tons of oil per day.

• Electricity outage is one of the main challenges confronting the industrial sectors of the Nigeria’s economy.

• The ubiquitous Base Station Sites (BSS) all over have poised so many researchers to proffer alternative solutions in terms of cost to its power supply.

• Results from such BSS with standalone systems based on a fuel generator were high compared to those powered with the Renewable Energy Supply (RES) systems (only solar) in terms of their CAPEX.
GSM BTS and UMTS Node B

• GSM uses a series of radio transmitters called BTSs to connect the mobiles to a cellular network. They are entrusted with function of channel coding/decoding and encryption/decryption.

• The Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is generally referred to as the transceivers and antennas that are utilized by every cellular network.

• A cell site can be positioned in any direction or divided into typically three cellular directions.

• The Base Transceiver Station is located in the middle of a cell.

• BTS which comprise of signal encoding, encrypting, multiplexing, modulating, and supplying the radio frequency signals to the antenna, voice via full- or half-rate services.

Introduction
• The quest for faster speed, improved QoS, lower latency and convergence of voice and data on a purely IP system to improve network resource efficiency has resulted in the emergence of the 4G network, gradually but surely eclipsing the 3G network.
• The integration of new MIMO antenna technologies, OFDMA modulation scheme, IPV6 and simplification and flattening of the existing 3G architecture have made the 4G network a reality today.
Background
• LTE is the fourth-generation (4G) network and is the current generation of wireless communications systems.
• Mobile service provision is facing important advancements towards more flexible business models, with novel and dynamic Internet-like services, with the introduction of new 2.5G/3G generations of mobile communication systems, like GPRS, UMTS and CDMA.
• LTE was planned to encompass many wireless networking and cellular technologies including Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and third generation (3G) cellular network.

Internet Protocol (IP) is further introduced and utilized to seamlessly interconnect these wireless networking technologies on a backbone network.

• Nearly everyone has been directly affected by two major systems:
1. Wired and wireless data connectivity (WLAN IEEE 802.11/a/b/g standards & xDSL)
2. Mobile communication via 2G network (GSM)

• These two networks when merged, creates a more robust superior network capable of delivering virtually all the benefits of the 2 networks.
• The third-generation (3G) network was the first bold step en route a convergence between both networks.

Introduction
The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) has revolutionized the automation industry. Today PLCs can be found in everything from factory equipment to Automobiles, but prior to 1968 the programmable controller didn’t even exist. Instead what existed was a unique set of challenges that needed a solution.
Background
• Before the days of the PLC the only way to control machinery was through the use of relays.
• For example, to control an electric motor, a relay could be attached between the power source and the motor. A control could be enforced when the motor is getting power by either energizing or de-energizing the relay.
• There could be several motors in one factory that need to be controlled, so what do you do? You add lots of relays.
• So factories started to amass electrical cabinets full of power relays
• To effect any changes, electricians would have go through the herculean task of rewiring each relays ”Five hours to find it and five minutes to fix it”
• In 1968 the Hydramatic Division of the General Motors Corporation specified the design criteria for the first programmable controller.
GM Hydra-Matic Mandate
The GM Hydra-Matic Mandate for PLC are as follows:
• Less wiring/User friendly
• Cost effective
• Extensive I/O capability
• Robust and able to withstand extreme operating conditions
• Extraordinary processing time
PLC Pioneers
• Dick Morley’s company Bedford Associates in Massachusetts proposed something called a Modular Digital Controller (MODICON).
• The MODICON 084 brought the world’s first PLC into commercial production.

Why is a Report Important?

• It is an educational exercise.• For evaluation of the work.• To reach a wider audience.• Preserving what has been done.
Writing to be Read

“A report is written to be read, by someone else. A report which is written for the sake of being written has very little value”.

A good project report:• Demonstrates the author’s familiarity, expertise, and competence with the problem.• Makes it easy to the reader to understand any part of the report.• Explains rather than describes the problem and possible solutions to minimize reader effort.
The Mechanics of Writing a Good Report

• Always keep your potential readers in mind.• Repeatedly review what you have written.• Put yourself in the position of the reader. • Start early (Document your progress)o Keep a notebook/diary handy and record all relevant information.• Keep it simple o Shorter sentences
Stylistic Conventions

There are all kinds of stylistic conventions relating to technical writing that you should try to follow. For example: • Do not use shortened forms such as “don’t” for “do not”.• Avoid slang words.• Use British English and write in complete sentences.• Divide your writing up into paragraphs.• Paragraphs should focus on developing single ideas.

By the end of this tutorial, You will learn :

How to get a perfect charger or power cord for your device
The best charger connectors
Battery maintenance tips

Many people find it very difficult to find spare original chargers to replace the former one (follow come). Some people do buy up to ten chargers for their mobile phones in a year. After this tutorial, you will be able to discover the best matching charger for your devices.

I will also give you some battery maintenance tips, which will help prolong the lifespan of the batteries of your electronic devices.
There are some hidden and important tips you need to know about chargers and power cords. Here are some of the tips:
Go for Three Pin Chargers and Power Cords and Run from Two Pins

Yes you heard me right! I know you may be having some doubts in your mind now. Two pin chargers and power cords are those that have two connectors (light and neutral pin) with no earth connector. Although two pin chargers are more flexible in terms of finding a space in an extension socket to plug them, they cause more harm than good to your electronic batteries.

This is because you interchange the light pin and neutral pin connectors (Polarity interchange) of a two pin chargers almost every time you use them. The hidden fact is that they seem to work fine, but the truth is that it causes cell depolarization, which is a cell defect, thereby reducing the lifespan of your device battery. The figure below illustrates the two types of connectors.

• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Microsoft Publisher
• Microsoft Word

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet management software.
Microsoft Access is a relational database management software.
Microsoft PowerPoint is a graphical presentation software.
Microsoft Publisher is a software mainly used for preparing document for printing and publishing.
Microsoft word is a word processing software.

why you should learn microsoft excel, access and powerpoint

These software packages are very essential in every field. I will explain the first three in details later in this article. There are many hidden powerful details about Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint which I will unravel in this article.

Before now I used to see Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint as trivial application softwares. I had this mentality until one of my friends, Jack went for a job interview and came home weeping that he lost the ob. After consoling him, I asked him how and why he lost the job. He said, “I was given a table of values and was told to use Microsoft Excel to generate a graph based on the values but I couldn’t because I don’t know how to use it”.

From that moment I forcefully developed interest in Microsoft packages, especially MS-Excel, Access and PowerPoint. I found out that these they are not trivial as I initially thought. When I explored deep into these packages, I discovered that almost all fields need them, especially Microsoft Excel and moreover, most business companies now require that you have at least a basic knowledge in these packages especially Microsoft Excel and Access before you are employed.

I will like to explain each of these packages and then elaborate more on their uses and application areas and finally show you where you some websites where you can learn them.

OBJECTS OF A DATABASE
These are the tools used in preparing data which determines the pattern or format of database you are creating. They form the basis for the major operations on a database. They include:

• Tables store the data in the database and are analogous to the foundation of the database. It is critically important that the tables be designed properly; they provide the foundation for building the remainder of the database.

• Queries enable you to extract data from your database tables and allow us to answer questions we have about the data. Queries may combine data from multiple tables and manipulate data output through the use of expressions, formulas, and functions.

• Forms are based on tables or queries, and they are used for entering data into the database in a user-friendly manner. They are also used for displaying data to the end user and can be used to create a menu system for the database.

• Reports use data from a table or query and format the output in a professional-looking manner. Reports provide you with the ability to summarize, sort, group, and display the data in many different ways suited to the needs of the end user. Often, the purpose of a report is to provide a printed output of some data in your database.

• Macros are small programs that you build into Microsoft Access; they perform some advanced operations, making the database more user-friendly and/or functional.

For this chapter, I will explain explicitly, table which is the first and most important object of a database, some of its operations and table relationship.
