Op. I am not sure you engage an engineer.this is a building that will last for 40-50yrs. Is the slab designed by structural engineer to carry the weight of the water tank? I can't see any beam under the slab which is wrong. don't let a mason who picked his experience on the road dictate technical things to you, seek the advice of qualified engineer .
The below list are What might have caused the dampness
1. The slope of the floor is not enough , this will cause water retention at the centre of the slab. Water will surely find it way through any concrete slab if the slope to the discharge pipe is not adequate.
2. The engineer should have advised you to lay polythene (water proof) which will cover the area of the slab before tiling the floor.
3. The engineer should have advised you to use water repellant chemical or cement mixed with ordinary Portland cement for wall plastering and floor tiles.
4. You can also cover the slab area with bituminous felt if you can bear the cost.
5. When you have done the 1-3 above ,pour enough water and put your discharge pipe to where the water gather at the wall.

And for the remaining part you don't have water tank make sure you cover it with roof, water will still find it way in the future.

Take care of what I listed above and thank me later.
So apt sir. But you just spilled a solution that ought to be paid for undecided .
Nigerians will never learn...

my engineer I greet you, this is the only response worth reading coz you spoke using our terminology instead of those up there claiming to know too much. Problem with this our profession is that it’s been crowded with so many quacks that even the real engineers are now seen as irrelevant. Well I won’t state any solution, you see the whitish columns right there, well I pray the building collapses, one or two end up in the hospital and the artesian located and arrested then ppl will seek professionals to build even something as small as a store.

By looking at that slab soffit alone I am sure there’s been enough weeping to take away approximately half the strength of that binder but anyways it’s thier problem.
Respect bro. You see why we have so many quacks. People giving professional solutions online cool. How will Professional Engineers get jobs. I like how you ended it with all the possible consequences. I ain't giving any solution but my advice for him is to patronise Professional Engineers. End of Story!

I have made up my mind to go for NEBOSH immediately after NYSC or during NYSC, but the issue is that its costly, around 300k.. NEBOSH certificate is internationally recognized. getting that certification is actually a must do for me. am an undergraduate civil engineering student, currently at 500l
smiley It's a good one. Nothing and I repeat nothing is easy or cheap when it comes to career development in any competitive and relevant field nowadays bro. You'll have to pay the price and trust me, you'll smile at the end. But remember that certifications alone doesn't cut it. Infact it's just about 30%. Just call it a boost especially when you already have the experience. Books are a bit different from how it's actually done on site. I had to slow down to take in as much as I can before jumping at certifications. I held the cash in my bank account for close to 2years when I discovered this. And by the way I'm a Civil Engineer with interest in structural and environmental engineering. I wish you all the best.

You lack understanding, did the poster says they aren't other good options out there, the main point is they're substandard and do not meet the requirements.
You are the type that don't take the ethics of your field of study seriously.

Mail Xiaomi and tell them about the issue you're having, be sure to mention you're going to switch to Samsung if it's not sorted ASAP, also if it's possible just go to any phone store that sells Samsung phones and have someone take a picture of you admiring one and attach to the mail too. Make it look believable that you're actually going to switch so they know you're serious, sparkles in your eyes and all.

They'll send one of their repair jets to your location before the end of the day to get it fixed.
Right! Don't forget to include your address.

The only piece I find interesting to correct in your post.
Alright then, not many can exhibit that pride you just mentioned. Well you don't need it in this context. Once a guy decides to give na to collect as much as you can. You don't need to say No. It's good you've changed anyways.

Good Evening.

The truth is I've learnt bitterly from two experiences that MEN love to spend to spend on their Women. To them it's like a form of fulfilment and relevancy reason why most assume the roles of father immediately they enter a relationship. Forget the redpill and all things guys type here, it's opposite offline and op is really projecting reality.

As one who hardly takes gifts because I feel it kind of subdue someone to some form of indebtedness.I go to relationships with the "He isnt responsible for me" mentality and I don't ask. I will rather call my parents or Sister if I'm pushed to the wall but I learnt the effect this has on guys I'm dating the hard way. One told me, I blocked every form of his existence, and made him feel useless and accuse me of "probably getting my help elsewhere" The other didn't even say anything, only found himself a Barbie doll he can decorate with gifts. While to me, I was only putting them first.

The truth is Men love to be leeched on. It gives them joy when they share their stories. I'd be foolish to think otherwise. I've learnt the hard way. I even came across Ubunja thread on How a man's heart is where his money is.

See ehn, I will ask ooooo. grin grin since that's how you all feel important.
I read the thread you're talking about but according to you! You don't ask, but when they DECIDE to offer you without you ASKING, you still refused to collect undecided Are you seriously kidding me! It's different from what most guys here are on about. At least you get shame and considerate too. So babes no get shame at all cry
