I just read the rantings of some depraved lunatics, that said CAN vis-a-vis GEJ is waging war on the muslims in Nigeria. As inciting and baseless as that statement is, the Mods in their folly left such a thread that is possible of causing another religious uprising. It is high time nairalander put their engineering and ict skills to use by building surveillance drones for the Nigerian Army to enable them effective curb the menace of Boko Haram, following on Monday's surprise attack on the Nigeria Airforce base. The last couple of days has witnessed fierce battle between #TeamGEJ and #TeamAPC. It is no longer news that some prominent Nigerians in the wake of their defeat to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, vowed to make the country ungovernable for him. The first dog that was draft towards fulfilling their vow was the dreaded terrorist group Boko Haram. Though they were in existence before, the activities sky rocketed with deadly attacks targeted at christains living in the north. Emboldened by their successes, they started targeting security formations and barracks. Only God knew why President GEJ waited for so long a time before he decleared state of emergency in those three states. Knowing that the demise of Boko Haram is certain by the declearation, they quickly drafted ASUU to continue the onslaught on the GEJ administration. And we are all witnesses of ASUU uncompromising stand, despite all effort by the president to make them see reasons with him. Now ASUU is falling like a pack of cards; what next are they releasing from their arsenal? Do they have any ace up their sleeve? GEJ shall overcome #APC.

From all indication, it appears that this present ASUU strike is politically motivated; Because they want the GEJ administration to make all the problems of University education in Nigeria disappear overnight. The FG has shifted ground several times to accomodate some of the genuine concerns of ASUU, but the later has remained resolute to toe the hard uncompromising line. To me, and several other well meaning Nigerians, ASUU is just a dog drafted into the fight promised by some highly placed Nigerians to make the country ungovernable for president GEJ, all to the intent of discrediting and defacing the GEJ administration; and to demoralized millions of Nigerian youth that forms the bedrock of support for the GEJ administration.

The mistake the north made in 2011 was not coming out en masse to vote
for the CPC by averaging a voter turnout of just 50% in the entire
region. In 2015, just like the PDP managed to mobilize over 90% of the
eligible voters of the South South and South East to vote, the north
will make sure we mobilize over 95% of our eligible voters to vote out
GEJ and the bandit party PDP in the 2015 election.
A 2/3rd majority in the 36 states plus Abuja means for the APC to win by
landslide in 2015, the APC needs at least 24 states. The APC is
guaranteed 25% in all but 2 northern states(Plateau and Benue). That
makes 18 states. What is left to make up 24 states is just 6 states.
Luckily, the north has aligned itself with the South West. As an added
bonus, the SW with 6 states will provide the 25% needed to make up the
balance. In addition, the governors of Rivers, Edo and Rivers are also
members of the APC who will bring further votes in 2015. GEJ can have
100% of the votes of the South South and South East(minus Imo). It will
make no difference.
If GEJ and his advisers had half a brain they would have told him that
he could not afford to let the G7 governors flee. But as things stand,
GEJ, and in extension the SS and SE is toast politically.

For example we are yet to enjoy the benefits of privatisation of cement companies, even the telecoms companies are having a pseudo monopolistic arrangement and the people are paying the highest call rates in the world. Do we really have refineries in Nigeria? Nigerians forget things easily, especially this our generation. Do u know how many billions of dollars that have been poured into these refineries in the name of turnaround maintenance; and the status quo remains? Of a truth, the refineries are drain pipes in several was and are one of the reasons for the perpetuation of subsidy fraud because they are non-functional. If nigerian nationals have the resources to purchase these refineries, i think it is more preferable and better than indians and chinese buying them. What we should guard againts though is not getting good value for our national assets
