thnx Radiant, but she keeps saying i'll give him the last chance. It isnt frequent tho, like once in 6 months, so maybe thats why she's hanging on.
Romance / Re: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by mide2(f): 8:18pm On Dec 18, 2006
yeah, i agree with you, she can be very fussy and a bit of a nagger sometimes but i still think its outrageous to ''belt her'' for anything. Yet he cant do without her, cause once she said its over and he was begging and pleading like his life depended on her. Its confusing.
Romance / Re: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by mide2(f): 8:08pm On Dec 18, 2006
its hard to advise her to leave the guy cuz when they arent fighting, he is the best, so caring and loving, homely and someone u will call a family man, i think its just about his temper.
Romance / Re: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by mide2(f): 7:55pm On Dec 18, 2006
she is a social worker, you will think she should know better, fancy helping others and being a victim yourself.
But matters of the heart are different.

I know its hard to believe , but if you knew the couple i'm talking about, you will feel what i'm talking about.
Romance / Re: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by mide2(f): 7:42pm On Dec 18, 2006
i feel you, coco, i used to say, i would leave any man that raises his hand up at me. Until it happened to my cousin, and honestly, i will say they were in love, at least they were so fond of each other. But he suddenly turned into a batterer, its just shocking and unexplainable. You hope and pray he changes not just walk away like he was just a friend or a casual date.
Romance / Re: Battered, Bruised But Still Hanging On To Your Boyfriend by mide2(f): 7:14pm On Dec 18, 2006
hmmmm, its easy to say, oh no man would do that to me, i will quit. Not until you are in there, its just unexplainable why women stay in such shit.  He will change, they probably keep thinking, or afterwards he is on his knees and chest crawling and begging.  Promising never to do it again.
or you think about the consequencies of leaving and feel it isnt worth it, let me keep going, he'll change.
And love does exist in some of those crazy r/ships.
I just donot know why it happens.

Family / Re: Mother Monitoring A Girl Of 20 Years Old by mide2(f): 8:44pm On Dec 13, 2006
What i feel is this :
what worked for mother A will not necessarily work for mother B.

She knows wot her mom is like and she should know how to handle her (so to speak)

Very good advise have been given here,   from leaving home which might work out with some parents( they might see her trying to prove her independence and so chill out),    To coping with it till she's on her own, which again might work and might not(an example is someone on this same forum who told us her mom slapped her even whn she was 25,married with 2 kids).

Trying to talk to mom and making her see reasons also depends on the type of mom/parent. You can't out talk my mom whichever way you take it (sweet talk or sour talk) she isnt having anything overule her decision.

Being a big tyme rebel seem so so overreactive but if u know the trick it can work. It did work for me and my bruvs. Be a big tyme rebel for a while and then go back to be the good little angel, make sure nuting was spoilt at the rebelious time(e.g like getting preg or smthg bad). The parent will see that you definitely can take good care of yoursef, because u hv proved it.

If a child has as many clothes as an elderly, he cant have as many rags as an elderly.
And if a child now as as many rags as an elderly, he definitely cannot have as many wretched clothes as an elderly.

The king sent you a message, and the king's river is full to its bank. The king's message must be delivered and the river can't be crossed.

If you are sent to deliver a message as a slave, you should deliver it as a son/child.

I'm happy for you debs, that's a step forward, an hurdle crossed. I guess you feel relieved within you.
I knew it wouldnt be a big deal like u think it will, told u both my folks were strict but they know when it's right to chill out. Most fathers only want the best for their daughters.
I bet he'll be so so happy, might not show you he is but i bet he is. My father couldnt hide it though.

Keep the love growing!  girl

To face the reality, Most Nigerian men cannot be domesticated. They havent even got a trace of it in their genes. The time spent in quarrelling over the issue, one for finish the domestic affairs tete and enjoy the other side of domestic affairs.

The house of God remains, We dont have to remain in the dark ages to prove that we are righteous, as all our righteousness is like filthy rags b4 Him, Its only the righteousness of Jesus in us Christians that would count on Judgement day.
I dont support being semi nude to church though. I think thats over doing things.

i'm sorry if i'm repeating anybody here, because i couldnt go through all the posts but i want to drop my 50 cent like smone always say.

The bible was written especially the old testament in context of the jewish culture because then they tot like evryone else that the world ends in your community, no one knew more than their environment. The jews never wore trousers as men or women, they dressed like we see them in those ''Jesus of nazareth movies''. They cover their heads as well.

So it all goes down to culture, like someone already said the scottish wear smthg like a skirt both men and women, even in nigeria, the urobo's cultural attire is top with wrapper round their neck.

But due to modernisation and exposure cultures are mixed, and we don't have to base our judgement of wots right or wrong on cultural bias.

What i don't and wont subscribe to, is being literally naked to anywhr not to talk of the church,

My 50 cent
