To face it, i am a lil bit pissed with guys (described on this thread to my understanding as atutupoyoyo) walking up to you especially in a sort of crowded place and asking for your data. But what pisses me most is not taking no for an answer. I feel like doing the worst thing on earth to them. I mean all signals and word of mouth says NO and yet this atu bobo no go gree.( Even a nice bobo should know No is No) I can't stand them o. |

allonym: i doubt women are chained in their homes unable to go do things nowdays. If you see someone at home, that is probably where she wants to be. Well said, it's your choice and my choice. I don't want to be mrs b and i wanna be myself, if it suits you to stick your butt at home well it's fine but me, can't see myself sitting at home, tho it's as much work or even more but i prefer having a career, something different from home work. It will be pretty stressful and difficult but thats the trick, i love it like that. |
Romance › Re: [poll] Would You Prefer to Marry a Virgin? by mide2(f): 3:56am On Jan 04, 2006 |
Her virginity or not doesn't define who she really is in totality. Quite a number of virgins (both male and female )have turned out to be more than prostitutes after marriage and some disvirgined turned out to be as faithful as you can imagine and vice versa. Doesn't change nuthin. Go for the real person in her and not her state of sexual exposure. |

scary88: i just got my girlfriend preagnant and i don't know how to tell my parents or hers. im sevventeen and in still in school as a senior and she is 14 and a freshmen. her parents love me and trust me but im scared they might put me in jail or my parents might. i mean i will take resposibility because i love her with all my heart and plan to marry her but i amjust scared on tell the parents. i have every thing set for job wise after i finish school i am going to be come a corection officer and make 12 dollars an hour and have benifits. Well said, you just have to dance to your tune. Unfortunate tho, but it can't be undone, so talk to her folks ASAP. You can't be too sure you want to marry her in future at your age now, you're still gonna meet a whole lotta pple. Just be there for her now that she needs you most. Good luck. Learn from your mistake and Try some pretty good preventive methods next time. |

snazzydawn: I have a family friend who lives in America, she used to teach her children her native language, they were born there. One day,the authorities there told her that she had kidnapped those kids, and wanted to take them away from her.She insisted that they were her kids. They asked her to prove it,she spoke her language and they responded. That was her saving grace. You now see whay you should teach your children your native language? This must be a joke |

My husband is sure gonna know how much i earn and i'll know how much he does because hmmmm.....me i don see big yawa erupt for that kin thing ooo
The wife didn't have an idea of what her husband was earning as a bank manager and tot he could access the strong room 24/7 and collect his father's money wey dey there. The hussy too was doing bobo nice and mr cool guy, big boi, effizy and stuffs, he never curbed the never ending demands of madam. Alas ! He was bankrupt and even owed some million naira, lost his job in the process and wahala come they look their face. Inside the yawa, the wife now sabi the amount of money her hussy earns and realise they've been living in fantasy-real world.

snazzydawn: I speak as a linguist on this one;the fault lies mostly on the parents. Most parents think it is "bush"to teach their kids their language, not just abroad, even here at home. They take pride in the fact that their kids speak English fluently and can't speak their mother tongue. This is evident in the way the parents tell friends about it.They are so proud to tell friends"ahh,my children don't speak Igbo(or any other language),I speak English with them o".Isn't it a shame? Also,it reflects on the names they also give their children.Where are all the names like Udeme,Emem,Imaobong and other beautiful local names? Now,they give-Gift,Promise,Jack and other English names.I am not against foreign names, but I believe they could be added to the local ones to give one an identity. Some parents even go as far as changing their own local names to outlandish names that have no meaning.I want to advice future mothers and fathers to please stop this slow extinction of our culture by giving local names to our children yet unborn because
The loss of a language is the loss of a culture and a lost culture is a lost generation Speak your language Its all you have for identification Don't let it DIE!!! Can't be said more ! He who has hears should hear what the Angel has to say to the Church !!! QED |
