@ozoneflake, you need to get a grip on the anatomy of the human body. FYI, the human ribs are 12 in both male and female.Plus if God took a rib outta Adam to make Eve, doesn't that make Adam one rib lesser than Eve ? Stop all these rubbish all in the name of defending the silly notion of man being any superior to woman. Wake up and smell the coffee, we are nothing but equals ! Okay ? |

Romance / Re: Do You Think She Cheated On Me by mide2(f): 11:56am On Jul 18, 2007 |
I don't think you actually loved her like u claim to hv, breaking up with her without being sure if she indeed cheated or not, isn't a sign of true love. Blunt truth. |
Romance / Re: My Ex Wants Me Back After 2 Years by mide2(f): 11:48am On Jul 18, 2007 |
I feel u @ Bolarge ! Not with calling him a retard tho. But i honestly think u've said it all. Why do some men think they can just walk back into your life whenever they feel like. I'll advise not to give up your boyfriend now for a come back after 2 years. It doesnt sound like its worth the try. |
Family / Re: Why Is The Man The Head Of The Family? by mide2(f): 8:21am On Jul 17, 2007 |
Why should i be a full housewife because you wanna take up your responsibility as the ''head'' of the home. I'll joggle my duty at home with my job, have only a child, so it wont be too stressful for me. So far i get to save my own income, you as the head can cater for all the family money issues without as much as looking at me for a penny. Now thats what is called the human head ! On a more serious note now, honeric01, Not some men, but most people that claim to be men these days are damn selfish. They get away with it alot though, cuz women hold their marriages sacred and would do anything to hold it together(esp african women) but the fact is, men aren't worth calling men these days no more. |
Family / Re: Why Is The Man The Head Of The Family? by mide2(f): 7:33am On Jul 17, 2007 |
@ Militia, I'm with you, the men of nowadays are just plain selfish and effing lazy, to be the head of the family, they should work hard enuff to pay all the bills and foot all expenses at home, but no, they are only full of mouth. we both work, pay the bills togeda n run the family, so what makes the Head ?? More like fish head. |
Family / Re: Baby Carrier Or Buggy: Which is Better? by mide2(f): 11:14pm On Jul 10, 2007 |
Thanks @ Omogenaija and English1, I guess having both is the answer, but i hate pushing things around, i mean i hate anything clumsy, i always like to go about light, simple and uncomplicated. But i guess all that will be out of the window by then. @osereka, how i love the african way, quite simple and cute, but it's not so possible here except in summer. Plus you know, at home lots of eyes go dey watch una pickin for una back but here, i kind of feel its dangerous, you dont know whats going on at the back and people here don't interfere in other's biz, na to mind ur biz. Dunno sha |

@tai2 , Thinking deeply about this issue at hand, don't you think men are the self centred culprits here. They want to eat their cake and hve it at the same time. If you say we should follow our forefathers' ways, then lets stick to it, Men to get the daily bread home in sufficent amount and women can stay at home to care for the home and kids. Howeasy is that. But because men are just born Lazy, they want educated ladies with good jobs, earnings and prospects, and at the same time to take care of their lazy selfs and the kids they both had. Is it a crime to be a woman ? Nowadays, lots of so called men depend o their wifes for the upkeep of the home, and most share the upkeep 50/50, so if our fathers' ways arent working for the guys, why should it work for the gals. You aren't entitled to being no head, you've lost it a long time ago. Sheesh |

@ Crazykid, maybe if you read your bible quote in your post over again, you'll see what i'm seeing. crazykid: What alot of bible believers overlook is that the bible was not originally in English, it was translated into English and lots of other languages and thereby has being diluted(so to speak). Also, the bible was written as an history or account of what happened in the days of old and therefore is based mostly on the jewish culture and tradition.at the time. (Undoutedly written with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.) Man in the bible context mostly refer to human being, not the male gender. I don't have a problem with men assuming the leadership role in the family unit, what i do have a problem with is turning it into a birthright or monarchy system. @Warfarian. . . chill out |
Family / Re: Men: Would You Carry Your Baby On Your Back At Home? by mide2(f): 7:50am On Jul 09, 2007 |
@ tonim, you'll save yourself a lot of apologizing if you can learn to wait a minute before responding or replying people. (I'll just keep it that simple) @ topic, Men should put a sock in ''this is femine, thats isn't manly'' attitudes. Whether to back the baby or front the baby, just carry ur baby somehow and let baby momma rest a bit or do her own things. Plus the poster was only suggesting an easier way to do both the baby carrying and whatever it is the hubby was doing. |
Family / Baby Carrier Or Buggy: Which is Better? by mide2(f): 6:48am On Jul 09, 2007 |
Hello everyone, Which do you think is better: a baby carrier or a buggy? I feel the buggy is too much stress pushing about whilst shopping, or if you need to board a train or bus. At the same time, a carrier seems uncomfortable for carrying a baby for a long time plus you'll hv to carry the baby bag with your hands/on your shoulder. Note; I haven't tried any yet; I'm only curious as my time is approaching. Opinions and voices of experience will be greatly appreciated. |
Travel / Re: Nigerians In The UK Are So Stingy by mide2(f): 2:29am On Jul 04, 2007 |
whats with the uk peeps haters. Why not stick to your USA friends, keep flashing them and begging for money. Honestly this topic is driving me nuts cuz i just came in now at 12 midnite, checked my acct online and had instant headache. I tot this month wud be better as i worked the bank holiday shifts but na lie. Bills, taxes, transport, credit card bills, e.t.c. This month it was just like hell, i had to pay to renew my practising licence as a nurse(which has been increased), i had to pay to renew my work permit (which has in recently increased) £350. Infact the £43 cheque i gave the NMC bounced as thr was just £21 left in my acct. I work minimum of 42 hrs a week, and in uk 42 hrs is 42 hrs, no sitting down, chstting wiv friends or lazing abt. I cant wait 4 the nxt payday n bills cant wait either. As for me o, pple can go to hell for all i care, cuz i hv no f&&king life here in uk and nigeria isnt any better for my type of career. I just need a miracle! |

Family / Re: Like Will Smith, Would You Consider an Open Marriage? by mide2(f): 12:37am On Jan 14, 2007 |
I'm not shocked at all and i believe there are more unthinkable, things to come. This is just a little tip of the iceberg. Some years ago, being a gay was unthinkable and unacceptable, not to talk of their marriage. Nowadays, transexuals and bisexuals are more of the norms than being straight. Zoosexuality (Bestiality or Zoophilia) is now in vogue, (it will soon be legalized to get married with them animals). If not that God had promised not to wipe the world out with water or fire, i bet it would have been the best option. All these madness in the name of rights and freedom. Open marriage le ri ti e pariwo . . . there is more craziness to come. |

Romance / Re: Ever Had A Strong Feeling For Someone But Didn't Say? by mide2(f): 11:54pm On Dec 28, 2006 |
I was dating this guy but we both never said how we felt, i really did like him but i noticed he wasn't ready for a serious r/ship, so i kept my feelings to myself and tagged along with the casual dates we had.he obviously liked me too but was carried away with youthfulness(so to speak). Later we stopped getting in touch and then i found the true love of my heart. One day, out of the blues this other guy i had dated called me and then he started calling frequently, he suddenly wanted me to meet his family and was talking me into relocating to where he is. But too late for him, i had lost the affection i had for him, because i now have true love . He's finding this difficult to get over, and i somehow feel sorry for him but no way, no chance. . . i'm too much in love with my ololufe. |
