Two things happened that prevented Port Harcourt from taking its predestined place as the richest and most viable city in Nigeria...a crown which Lagos finally took!

First was the change in the revenue sharing formula down from the hitherto 50% the regions formerly collected. And the second was a two-pronged/double-edged attack on Ndigbo that first saw the removal of the Igbo identity Port Harcourt formerly had, removing Igbo influence and control of the city and handing it over to the Ijaw with the creation of Rivers state; and secondly the abandoned property issue that made Ndigbo finally lose confidence to invest in Port Harcourt...they no more saw it as home.

If the revenue sharing formula hadn't changed, and Ndigbo remained confident investing in Port Harcourt like they did pre-1966...taking it as the economic hub of the Eastern Region, the city would have overtaken Lagos latest by two decades into independence!

do you know the ijaws are still crying bitterly of how they where cut off from rivers state and some of their towns over there turned into minority. That's y they are clamoring for oil river state

Also, PH has no direct access to Atlantic without passing through Rivers/Water bodies controlled by Ijaws.

So, I don't really see What game changing factor, PH adds to greater Igboland.
PH port would face same challenge as Obuaku port.
If I were to choose one, Obuaku would be the obvious one.
PH is the new Jerusalem, and should Nigeria cease to exist , the Ijaws and Ikwerres would have to share the city in peace or live in pieces. I'd rather we stay off PH and allow them sort themselves out.
The Ijaws are cornering the entire SS coastline from Edo(Gelegele) to Akwa Ibom (Ibeno/Eastern Obolo) and are up against bitter minorities neighbors who lay claim to these territories from Gelegele, through Warri to Eastern Obolo. The Ijaws are spread too thin and have neither the number nor wherewhithal to maintain these territories.

Ndiigbo need a sea access and we have the numbers, strategic thinking suggests that we stay off Ijaw/Ikwerre issues to keep our options open. Ikwerres have proven to be no more brother to us than the Ijaws are, they are just our neighbors, the better we start viewing them that way, the better for us.

It's often the case that groups, Ikwerres inclusive put their group aspirations first, even if it's injurious to Ndiigbo. It's time Ndiigbo learnt to do same. ie puting Igbo interest first and foremost, even if it means another group suffers. No friends in survival, only Allies and foes.
Let me not say more here.

Aba is a also a city with better future sustainability than PH, it has-been allowed to rot by cursed and inept leadership Abia State has been under, from 1999 to date, with no end to the rape of that Great Enyimba city in sight.

How about we discuss more of Aba here and none of PH?
Can we do that?

Realizing their mistake Amaechi is claiming Igbo in hope to use the 2023 spot of Presidency wen it comes East after missing that of the SS.

Nwanne, Ikwere really need to retrace their step and make peace with the SE, if ever they want to progress otherwise they keep losing.

About 2 weeks ago, i noticed some rashes on my body.It just started a little from my chest,back and stomach region. I went to my family doctor, she gave me some antibiotics and skin care tube to rub on my body.

My dad gave me an antiseptic soap and cream also to be using with dettol as well. I've finished taking the drugs and I've been applying the creams faithfully morning and night but it seems as though it's gotten worse because it has spread to almost every part of my body, precisely from my neck down to my laps(even my bossom), excluding my face though. It also itches alot.

Please nairalanders, doctors, dermatologist, mods, help me out in order for me to know what this thing really is and how well I can effectively get rid of it. Thanks alot.

Bros this thing happened to me. I used all sort of things. I used an unripe breadfruit. The fruit i whitish stuffs in it and used it to scrub on my body. My granny made one concoction which I usually rub on it. One black stuff. I used funbact A. And the thing was pulling off like snake scales. I don't knw which one of the drugs cured it but am free now
