Note the bolded. You have pointed out one possible reason why the prophecy may not come through. Another reason is that prophecies are a times information to work with. If you pray about it like Nineveh in the book of Jonah. Things can change.

If you studied prophecies very well, you would discover that Egypt could mean all that came out of it.

another thing is that the prophecy of Ezekiel was not actually written in his time. It was later collated after his death. During transcribing, there could be errors.
