Some Translation used "Wild Ass" to describe Ishmael and ishmaelites which of course is a figurative description.

The Jews entered the Promised Land through warfare and would almost certainly expand by the same act. It seems logical then to infer that God's tool of propagating the Torah and himself (by implication) is a very effective strategy at the time - warfare. Conversion happens by force, not by some flowery words. Preaching to conquered territories would come naturally. They wouldn't have to be instructed to do it. After all, the nation that propagates the ideas of its God and its religion is not the one that is commanded by its holy books to do so, but the one that succeeds quite well in the act of warfare. That should be quite obvious.

Fighting wars in ancient times is almost inevitable. There would always be reasons to fight. And the more successful you are in the battlefield, the more likely you are to proselytize people and get nations to your God. God already promised and guaranteed victory to the Jewish nations if they obeyed his laws, so it is not true at all that Moses was sent to only Israel and not to the world at large. If God was going to give them a Land through wars, he would almost certainly keep them and expand their territories through the same act. It seems it's only a matter of time before subjugated nations and people worship the one true God even though they would not willingly worship initially.

God does not have to spell out an obvious truth (in the Torah) on how he was going to use the Jews to draw mankind to himself after giving the Law. If the Jews expanded and conquered territories, wouldn't people be forced to accept their religion?

The point I am making is that Muhammad's claim that he Torah was sent through Moses for the benefit of the Jews is gross error. The Torah is supposed to benefit all of mankind for all ages.

Job, Jethro, Jonah, Balam are all descendants of Abraham thru his other offsprings but our Christian friends will disagree despite reading that the Word of God came to rhis people.

One of my goals for 2025 is to read through the Bible. Right now, I'm in Genesis 16 and I'm wondering why God picked Abraham to become the most important father in the world (seeing that he became the father of both Christians, Jews and Muslims).

Is it that there was something inherently different about him like Noah who was the ONLY blameless man in the whole world before the flood?

Because Abraham was from Ur of the Chaldeans. And I don't think they were worshipping Yahweh over there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as if God just picked a random sinner man and made him all those promises and then he became father of the monotheistic religions.

Weren't there other people God could have picked?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Job predates Abraham right? Why didn't God pick Job then? He was a righteous man that He (God) even bragged to Satan about his righteousness.

You will say you are just eating your own Nigerian rice and don't generalize,Nigerian rice has been available since the days of Abakaliki stony rice for over 40 years or more now and it was far cheaper than the foreign ones.
If your reference is to the non stony Nigerian rice then it still did not start from Tinubus government , it was started by Jonathan's rice revolution, continued by Buhati and not Tinubu at all, I recall Ambode and Kebbi state govt in Jonathan's time coming up with Lake rice and the price was then far cheaper than the imported ones, it's only in Tinubu govt that we have Nigerian rice that is now at same price wit foreign rice and it's not something to be proud of at all.
It's the same way you are attributing refineries that Buhari paid fully for it's rehabilitation to Tinubu, the funny thing is while Tinubu himself is praising Buhari for fixing the refineries, his zombies like Reno and the ones here on nairaland are praising him for the refineries.You zombies should stop clinging at any straw to praise your master and attributing things he has no clue of to him.
