newreality: There was no Hezbollah, when isreal outside of labanon. Hezbollah, hamas etc were the outcome of Israel occupation of their lands, to resist the occupation. You can fact checks this about their creation, date & aims of their creation. Repeated narratives in the media has made lots of us believe/accept the false narrative about them. ''...Israel occupation of which lands''? Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem, Beersheba, Hebron, Shechem, Bethlehem etc. where kings like David, Solomon, Hezekiah etc. ruled over thousands of years ago now belong to Hezbollah and Hamas? Can you mention any king(s) of Arab or so called ''Palestinian'' descent or origin that ruled over these lands? You people never stop the delusion, deception and lies! The Jews are back to their ancestral land, period! The Hezbollah and Hamas that you see today are only a continuation of the Arab's war against the formation and existence of the State of Israel, since 1940s . Their conventional armies could not defeat Israel, so they decided to form guerilla/terrorist forces |

There are better ways to end the shelling from Lebanon into Israel from Hezbollah. Not everything is confrontational and war.
Engaging the Iranians and Hezbollah would achieve a lot.
And lets add treating the Palestinians a lot better. Why don\t you go and use the ''better ways'' that you know to end the shelling from Lebanon from Hezbollah?. You sit here behind your system and claim to know ''better ways'' to solve problems in a far away country. But you cannot use the same ''better ways'' to solve the insecurity, killings and kidnappings in your country. Hypocrite! |

ositadima1: No, you are wrong. Iran attacked Israel in April 2024, several days after the 1 April 2024 strike on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Syria, which killed several senior Iranian officers, including high-ranking IRGC commanders.
If you can't get this one fact right, how many of the things you know and think are right are actually wrong? Just food for thought. Iran also attacked Israel in Oct2024 in retaliation for the death of Hamas terrorist Ishmail Haniyeh who was kil)ed in Tehran, inside Iran If you dont know this, then I give up. So April 2024 and Oct2024, Iran attacked Israel. So Israel has the right to respond however they decide to. |

ositadima1: If Israel keeps destroying Lebanon, then Iran keeps the Strait closed. If that is not enough, it activates the Houthis and disrupts the other route through the Red Sea. If the situation worsens, Iran starts launching direct attacks on Israel, and the war continues. It is as simple as that.
Whether Israel is part of the deal at this point does not matter. Iran has taken its stand.
Iran is arguably stronger now, thanks to the unjustified attack by the U.S. and Israel in February. I asked you before: what did Iran do to Israel or the U.S. that caused them to attack first? You could not answer.
Do countries simply wake up and attack another country because they think it might be building nuclear weapons?
The U.S. is taken heavy blows(economically and physically), and that is the only plausible reason it now wants peace. It was not like this during Iraq or Afghanistan. Something clearly shook the Americans.
So, my friend, the war continues. Iran first attacked Israel in 2024 by launching about 400 missiles at Israel. They claimed they were retaliating for the death of Hamas' Ishmael Haniyeh who was killed in a bomb blast in Tehran, inside Iran. Israel said at the time that they would respond in a manner and at time that they would decide. So Iran brought the war unto itself. Sponsoring and supplying weapons to Hezbollah (a non-state, terrorist organization) to attack Israel is enough grounds for Israel to attack them. Israel does not give a damn about the Strait of Hormuz. It is Donald Trump that does not want the price of crude oil to climb too high, that is why he wants the Strait open. Lebanon cannot be a safe haven for terrorists Hezbollah to launch attacks at Israel. |

ositadima1: The U.S. and Israel jointly attacked Iran first in February, with the U.S. leading the operation. It was a joint campaign, so any peace agreement negotiated by the U.S. should bind both countries; otherwise, no peace, and the war continues. You can fact-check this.
You can ask the Iranians.
What I know as a fact is that it is the first point in the 14-point agreement signed by the U.S. and Iran for peace and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Once again, you can fact-check it.
I have already answered this.
Iran appointed itself as the "spokesperson," or whatever that means, in the same way that the U.S. and Israel jointly decided to attack Iran. Therefore, attacking southern Lebanon is a red line for Iran and a condition for peace and the reopening of the straits. You can fact-check that as well.
Maybe you should ask yourself the same question. Israel says they are not bound by whatever Agreeent Iran has with US. For there to be peace in Lebanon, it must involve the parties to the conflict. Is Iran a party to the conflict in Lebanon? Answer that question. |

ositadima1: Israel is breaking the first point of the deal agreement. What should Iran have done? Why should Trump sign something he cannot deliver?
The blockade is back anyway. If Trump wants, he can bring it down by force(I dont think they can though); the ball is now in his court. Your bias against Israel is lengendary and shocking! Was Iseael a party to the so called Agreement? Is Iran the "supervisor" or "manager" of Lebanon, a sovereign state? Why must Israel comply with a deal they were not part of and did not sign? And who appointed Iran as "spokesperson" to determine what happens in Lebanon because Iran wants Lebanon to be a safe haven for Hezbollah to launch attacks on Israel? Did Iran demand that Hezbollah must stop its attacks on Israel? Why are you thinking "one way" just like these terrorists who have vowed to destroy Israel by all means and at all costs? My8 |

JobAndVacancies: God bless you for this. I'm actually a fan of the U.S but Israel is frustrating the efforts to end this war. You're more brilliant and intelligent than freestuffsng Haichenoire and God1000 So you expect Israel to be bound by an agreement that it was not party to? You want Iran to dictate what happens in Lebanon when there is a govt in Lebanon? You want Lebanon to be made a safe haven for Hezbollah to continue attacking Israel, and when Israel responds, then Iran would use an agreement with US (that Israel was not a part of) to blackmail Israel? Why is Iran not asking Hezbollah to ceasefire and respect the agreement? Why is Iran arming and funding a terror group Hezbollah instead of the Lebanese govt itself if truly Iran cares for Lebanon? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: USA-IRAN Talks In Switzerland Abruptly Called Off by mikeapollo: 3:41pm On Jun 19 |
It is very stupid and shallow for anyone to expect Israel to respect or comply with the deal and Iran's terms. How can Iran be pretending to be defending or fighting for Lebanon, when in actual fact, all their are doing is to protect and promote Hezbollah's interest. Lebanon does not need Iran to speak for them. Iran only wants Lebanon to be a safe haven for Hezbollah to continue operating and launch attacks on Israel. |

Oasisblue: BREAKING: Israel has launched a new overnight ground advance into southern Lebanon with Hezbollah forces engaging Israeli troops directly at zero distance, destroying 4 Israeli military vehicles and downing helicopters during evacuation flights. This follows 20+ Israeli airstrikes that leveled residential buildings and killed at least 18 people, including entire families, in the heaviest assault since the ceasefire, per Al Jazeera.
Over this violation of the Iran-US MOU's first clause, Iran has suspended negotiations with the US and the Switzerland trip, with VP Vance also cancelling his trip in response.
Iran now says it will not unilaterally implement any MOU commitments until the U.S. does the same and attacks in Lebanon permanently stop, per Fars. So Israel only killed ''18 people, including entire families.....'' . So no single member of Hezbollah was even touched by Israel?. When terrorists are killed by Israel, the propaganda machine call them ''people'', ''civilians'', ''families'' etc. Same strategy in Gaza. It is always 1000 ''Palestinians'', ''civilians'' killed by Israel etc. They never mention that Hamas members were killed. |

Asangbekoko: I have nothing against Mega and he is surely one of our real buddies on this forum, and one of the influencial members, unlike me who doesn't do analysis of stocks before buying, because I only buy popular stocks with a history of performance. It would surprise you to hear that Access is not even one of my actual holdings even though I decided to throw something like a 700k in there as a gamble. And I know it's a worthy investment, jokes apart, you can't go wrong by investing in Access Bank.
Seriously, what I was saying in earnest is that people should say their prayers aside quietly instead of coming to the forum to say it. For instance, if you say such prayers in church, like Access should come down to #5, your church members would say 'amen'. Then why are you wishing such happenstance in a place where your co-forumite bought the same stuff at #25 ?

That's insensitive if I may say and it doesn't always go down well when someone is just mentioning a ridiculous amount all in the name of looking for bargain entry or comical relief..... whatever it's called!!
To buttress the point, it shouldn't be coming from some people..... While some of us will not even bother if it's coming from the likes of Agba or Peterichy, we will however be concerned when the likes of Mega, Oga Emma and some Ogas joke with such things...... I am surprised this is coming from you, a very experienced member of this forum? This our investment hustle is not based on emotions ooo! It is based on socio-economic factors that affect the market. Period! There is nothing wrong if someone says he wishes a stock could drop to a particular range so he could buy more! Why do you say such a person is insensitive? Has the person gone into the CSCS account of anyone to do an illegal stock transfer? Has he/she petitioned NGX or the management of the company to delist and relist the shares at the reduced price? Our comments here are not sacrosanct; they amount to nothing unless someone is disillusioned!. No matter what anybody says about any stock here on NSEMPA, it would be immature and out of place for anyone to attach too much importance and use that to rant. Recently, we all read/saw what several people said against stocks like Ellah, Japaul, Deapcap, Oando, IBL, Honeywell, Zichis etc. but it did not stop these stocks from rising.. The NGX market has a depth and width much bigger and beyond what we say/do here on NSEMPA! And we don't control the socio economic factors that determine the price(s) of stocks. However, those who choose to be disturbed or confused by what people say here are free to allow themselves to be so disturbed. |

A legendary 'Undertaker' would come here to to post an incantation that the bear would continue for the next 5 months, just because he sold his holdings in May, and you guys are here applauding him!
We should stop accepting all sorts of nonsense on this forum. A good way to ''stop accepting all sorts of nonsense on this forum'' is to ignore and focus on what matters to you. In any case, comments like that are mostly for comical relief. The same person may even have millions of the stock that he wishes the price crashes so he can buy more. |

Satanyahu is a big obstacle to peace and stability in the middle east and Mr trump is doing the right thing this time You really sound very shallow in how you analyze things, because of your hatred and bias against Israel. You cannot expect Israel to abide by the agreement if they don't know what you signed! This is common sense. On one hand, Iran is asking that the deal they signed with US must apply to Israel to stop their military action in Lebanon. If people want Israel to stop its miliatry action in Lebanon because of the deal, it just follows that Israel should know what the deal entails before it withdraws its soldiers from Lebanon. If the deal contains clauses that are unfavourable to Israel, it means the war in Lebanon would continue and that would affect the agreement between US and Iran! Denying Israel from seeing or knowing the terms of the agreement is a sure way of giving Israel the excuse and justification to continue to war in Lebanon! |
