ojeysky: Their heavy debt remains a concern.
Financial Performance (FY 2025) Despite the operational growth, the financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025, were volatile:
Revenue: ~₦3.21 trillion (a 21% decrease from 2024), primarily due to lower trading volumes in their supply and trading segment as they shifted focus to upstream margins. Profitability: Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 10% to ₦241.3 billion, largely supported by one-off tax credits and impairment reversals rather than just core operations.
EPS: Reported at approximately ₦30 for 2025 (up 67% from the previous year). Leverage: The balance sheet remains heavily leveraged with total liabilities of ₦7.26 trillion.
Source: Bros Gemini Pick the financial statements and check the figures under ''Company''. That is where the trick/magic will happen. The figures you referenced are for ''Group'' The more you look the less you see. |

Iran should face Israel fire for fire and let me checj something. All this firing missiles at Bahrain, UAE etc. and attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz are just diversionary tactics. Israel is the main deal!
If Iran has balls, they should face Israel because Israel has inflicted too much damage and sorrow on them |

Mankind2024: The Village People Effect in the NGX This occurs when a “monkey hunter” deploys all his firepower to accumulate a stock with weak or questionable fundamentals. After building his position, he launches an aggressive campaign on investment forums, trying to convince inexperienced members to buy the stock. The strategy is simple: create hype, attract the newbies, and use their buying pressure as an exit opportunity to dump his shares. However, the Village People Effect sets in weeks or months later. The same stock that was pumped and dumped suddenly begins to appreciate organically due to improving sentiment or fundamentals. Ironically, the monkey hunter who engineered the early hype is now left watching from the sidelines — regretting that he exited far too early. This is not too bad, after all, you did not mention any name. Who the cap fits, let them wear it. |

Today is Quds Day in Iran, and despite the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime and the United States, millions of Iranians have taken to the streets in Tehran and other cities, demonstrating their strong will and determination.
The enemies will be forced to acknowledge the power of the Iranian people. Do you know the meaning of ''Quds Day''? |

Zagee: Poverty did not reduce oo. People just cut down on other needs to pull into food alone.
Ironically, clothing is luxury, shelter is luxury. These are the reality on ground. Schrewd capitalists are the only victor in the society. Exactly. The incidence of poverty has increased and the govt (at all levels) are clueless |

Itzlinda: I believe this was so as of 2024. Things have really moderate last year.
We cook food every Friday and share to less privileges. The number of people coming have drastically reduced.
Before you'll children with parents coming to collect it but now it is mostly Almajiris. Don't you know that people adjust to poverty? People who were eating 3 times per day now reduce to two times, and two meals per day now reduce to 1 meal. Food is very very important but poverty is not only about food. |

If anyone is likely to lose big money, it would be Mankind with his pattern of investing. Loco has always been a trader since 2020, from when I first met him here. Once a stock is not going his way, he is out.
It’s people like Pa Ema and the other long-term investors that will endure for the stock. If Presco starts dropping 10% daily, Oga will remain there and even buy more. Even after a 50% haircut, Loco can never do that.
And Agba? The last time we confirmed he bought anything was in 2022. He mostly comes here to destress. Where did you read that I said he is down? I only referred to a rule or code. |

megawealth01: Poverty Rate Jumps To 63% After Subsidy Removal – Report
And a lot are saying the stock market is booming ooooo Even the so-called boom is just price correction if you consider factors like inflation, purchasing power parity etc. Before 2023, a stock value of N500 could be sold to buy $1. Today, you would need stock value of about N1,500 Before 2023, a stock value of N3m would buy you a tokunboh car. Today, you need stock value of about N7-N9m to buy same car There NOTHING to show for the subsidy removal. Absolutely NOTHING! |

pansophist: Foolish Americans.
If Iran that is under heavy sanctions for over 40 years can choke them this hard in less than two weeks, just imagine the wreckage China will do.
The imperialist in Washington over estimate themselves, heavily deluded in their own exceptionalism and fail to accept a world where countries don’t want to be vassals.
Their apologist zombies on nairaland, either paid or inherently foolish only proves that some people are their own worse enemy. They will support the US but blind to the fact that the evil you permit elsewhere will hunt you later, only a matter of time.
Success to the Iranians. Terrorists that kill women just because they did not cover their hair are the people you want to defend here? A nation that made it a policy and an obligation to destroy and obliterate another nation from the surface of the earth? A nation whose leader has the silly guts to pronounce death penalty on citizens of other countries because of religious beliefs? A country that has been using all its resources to sponsor terrorism all over the world in the name of a particular religion? |

Loans are given out based on ability to repay rather than Sector Who would you prefer to invest in or give loans to: someone dealing in ''gold'' or someone dealing in ''sand''? Your preference would affect the interest rate because it is influenced by your risk assessment of the business |

adenigga: Source: https://dailytrust.com/were-ready-for-long-war-that-will-destroy-world-economy-iran Very useless and clueless Iran! This is a country that threatened and vowed to destroy Israel and obliterate it from surface of the earth for almost 50 years. Now, Israel has dealt a heavy blow to them and they cannot do shishi. Instead of facing Israel that they have been boasting and threatening to destroy, they are not doing so but rather want to fight a war that would destroy an imaginary ''world economy''? Why are they dodging Israel now to wage war against the ''world economy''? They should face Israel squarely if they have the balls and means. Was it ''world economy'' that bombed and killed Ayatollah Khamanei and hundreds of generals and govt officials? Empty noise makers. Last kick of a dying horse. |
