This Tinubu of a man has really made the cockroaches of this nation come out from their cracks. Just look at this rubbish talk.
leave those ones, they are not normal people that comment base in reality, they actually get paid to the illogical online writings and support for Tinubu. The question is how much do they get paid to kill their conscience and normal sense of reasoning

Exactly bro. Exactly

In this present age, African government needs to open up their economies.
The African economy is too traditional, predictable, one way directional.

Not everyone will go to school or get employed or work for a company or do business.
They need to open up the economy so that people get engaged in sports and other things.
You don't need to work in oil and gas or be an importer or wholesaler in market to live a good life.
A good football league will park a lot of youths off the street. 1st division, 2nd and 3rd will pack alot of thugs off street. Boxing, swimming, bike race, formula one just name it. Name it
This is the main reason I want to relocate my family because I want my kids to have the options of fitting into any sector of their strength and not looking for yeye jobs up and down or do business as they call it.
I want to sign a young boxer into my company and manage him. He is very very good and has won national boxing belt before but his only crime is being black and born in Africa. That is his only crime.
He is wasting away now but God will help us
Now this is someone making a lot of sense not that one saying Nigeria is good because banks , dangote and ShopRite are making profit

There's no need to be abusive. That Nigerians often resort to abuse when they're CORRECTED is an interesting trait. And the richer they are, the more offended they get. Anyway.

My point is very easy to prove. Let's see, there's official reports from the stock exchange on the profitability of companies that trade there. Take GTB and many banks, how come they've remained generally profitable and employ so many Nigerians?

What about the Dangote and the cement sector? Ever heard of a company like Indorama, the petrochemical manufacturing company in Eleme? It's very profitable. Also NLNG is the most profitable company in Nigeria, paying BILLIONS OF DOLLARS as dividends and taxes in Nigeria and employing so many.

All these companies are doing RELATIVELY well despite a lack of stable electricity supply. That's my proof. Now I'm not telling you that electricity isn't a problem, yes it is. So PLEASE don't come back at me claiming I said it's a non-existent problem. What I am saying is that it's NOT the most important problem of the Nigerian economy.

The most important problem in the Nigerian economy is *price controls* by government and unions. That's it. Once you remove this obstacle, the economy will thrive even if public mains electricity supply remains exactly at the level it is today. And this your sentence here is very germane to the issue -

Increased costs become a problem where government and unions prevent producers from raising prices to compensate. Or we can put it this way, price flexibility is more important than electricity supply.

So how come poor electricity supply hasn't stopped Channels TV and other broadcasters, MTN and other telecoms companies, from being profitable and employing thousands of Nigerians?

Again if you're still inclined to disagree, go check why Exxon Mobil and Shoprite exited the Nigerian market. It's NOT because of electricity supply.

I write based on evidence. It takes a bit of insight to see it though.

Have a good evening.
. People trying have a debate or argument with you are wasting their time . You obviously don't know what you are talking about, but you have a strong urge to feel cool about winning an argument. We are talking about how unfavorable Nigeria economy is to the unemployed youth to get a job or start a business. So you really think the best example you can give is that dangote, shop right and banks are making profit ?? When anyone that has a deep know about economics these are the big players making the situation worse . Is the rate of inflation in the country the same with the increase in income of the most households . How does dangote making profit have positive effect on youth, a know monopoly beneficiary because the government allowed it where competition should have been thrown open. I know you you are not that sound when I read your post saying no electricity is not bad for the economy. Pls have your peace , I hope to have a discussion with someone that have know about what he claims to know, not just someone at the end of a keyboard typing anything that comes to mind even though it does not make sense just because you want to sound intelligent which you are not

Lack of electricity is NOT the major problem of the Nigerian economy. Whenever I read this from anyone, I know that person doesn't understand how markets and economics work in nations.

You try though. Have a good evening.
Sir , I'm interested in knowing how your own markets and economics works. You don't have to always type anything cos you feel cool about winning an argument. Which economics lecturer taught you that increase in cost of production (no electricity) will not have a direct impact in price , hence inflation . Oga go and sit down if you have nothing meaningful to contribute

Agreed, we should stop living in denial , submission of CV is starting to look like a waste of time. Most youth that seem doing well are living on scam proceeding. I fear for the future of Nigeria

Ona too sabi blame government, you think going to school, getting a degree or looking for a high pay job is the solution to financial problem? But hell NO. Work hard, there are people with no degree working on some low pay job of 20k - 30k monthly and as time goes by save up to start as little as minimum and with time you see dem getting the bag, you think life is easy. People start from bottom to top and nobody is responsible for anybody. If you have to mix cement, fuckin mix cause the government ain't your family and even your family members gat their personal shit going on too. The most problem with people (1) is fear of failure (2) not wanting to start small.
I so much dislike people like you . You want someone on 20k monthly salary to save for the next level or a business right? Seem you are lost touch with reality. That 20k or 30k will barely feed a man in a month , not to talk of transportat, data , rent and other expenses. The sad thing about Nigeria is even if you learn the IT skill, it's no guarantee you will get job anywhere. The best option a sensible youth has got is to learn an IT skill and find a way to move out of the country . Dey there dey give advice of saving for a business or mansion with 20k salary like say you no eat or transport , Abeg comot

I live in Keffi, I have lived in Jalingo, Makurdi, Lokoja etc. I can tell you with 100% certainty that Obi will win Benue, Taraba, Abuja, Plateau, Southern Kaduna and pretty much everywhere Christians dominate. You guys seem to have forgotten that northern Christians play religious politics and always vote any candidate the SS and SE massively supports. This election is going to be a referendum between christian votes going mainly to a single candidate (Obi) versus Muslim votes divided by there major candidates (Atiku, BAT and Kwankwaso), go and do your calculations and see whether a divided Muslim vote can win presidential election in Nigeria.
Best sensible comment. Forget deception any one that think Christians in majority will vote Atiku (a Fulani) after Buhari or vote Tinubu (Muslim Muslim ticket) is only fooling himself. The election is more of Christians vs the divided Muslim
