It is nothing diabolical. It is a faulty extension. Once had such and so I returned it. I'm sure the screws of the extension is visible underneath hence the cause of the electrocution. Ishilove: Electrocution doesn't work that way, oga. Once the body is electrified it scrambles the nervous system and the body loses all coordination. Some go into cardiac arrest immediately so there is no time or ability to switch off anything desperately.
Have you seen videos of people been tased? They drop to the ground and convulse uncontrollably. That's just minor, compared to full electrocution.
This fellow was not electrocuted. It is was something else. Something dark and diabolical. |

@Courz, I used 'sent away', probably I could say you were sacked/dismissed. This is my reasoning with experience interacting with different people. In a well organized company, one of these 3 will definitely happen to you: retirement, resignation, dismissal/retrenchment
People who fall in the 3rd category will talk negative about the company without telling you why he was dismissed. They will never say anything good. The reason why we drop resignation or retirement is so that we do not misrepresent the company in any capacity and I rarely see these categories of people talk about the company in any way.
Just like any organization that make changes to their policy, anyone who is dissatisfied should resign and leave than bad-mouth such company. I also said JWs are peaceable because they can accept any insult in the name of their religion without retaliating which you can never try with some other religious organizations.
On a positive side, you seem to be intelligent which is a trait I have observed in JWs. Is there a secret you guys get from somewhere? I will like to work with you on a task because intelligent people makes my work so easy. |

@Courz, I am curious you know so much about JWs. You must have been a member at a point in time, did something which they do not condone and sent away. Or you joined working as a Spy to get to the top hierarchy of JW.
I also know them as peaceable people even though they are not perfect and have some bad "eggs" within too just like any other religion |

However, many of you refuse to acknowledge Arise is PDP. Bro, every media houses have political/ personal interest. Did you notice yesterday that while other media houses carried the live interview of Gov. Wike with journalists, only ARISE News were showing Tony Elumelu's birthday symposium. He acts like an unofficial spokesperson of opposition, his knowledge of history is extremely weak. If you watch US journalists interview on CNN or Fox News, you will know that Rufai is more refined. Though himself is not perfect. He sometimes allow emotions which is common to most journalists in some interviews I think ARISE News will not allow him go except maybe pressure from higher authority like the case of Diplomatic OPJ of Wazobia FM. I bet an international media firm will employ him the day he leaves ARISE News |

Politics › Re: Vote According To Your State Of Origin Better Than Voting Where You Live. by Mikeloo: 5:19pm On Mar 18, 2023 |
Jokerman: I think voting according to your state of origin should be implemented over voting where you live.
This will curb the issue of tribalism. If you want to participate in voting again, simply travel to your state and vote.
I'm an Osun man, and I live on Lagos. When it's time to vote, I simply have to travel to my state and vote.
This in turn will make Osun state see progress and proper voting patterns, and bring about the needed changes in each state of the federation.
If you cannot travel back to your state , then simply stay Home anywhere you find yourselves, because if not this issue of tribalism will not stop and the politicians and their agents will keep exploiting the people.
Remember most people won't even allow their dead to be buried in an alien state in Nigeria. An Ondo man will tell you, take my corpse to my father house, don't Bury me in Lagos or Benin.
Most people will now start taking their states into consideration. Does that mean that if I work in Lagos, I should pay my tax to Oyo State where I am from since I will be voting there and decide the next government. I don't think democracy is working for us tbh. I will rather advocate for us to look at what type of system works for us than copying the Western world. It is also safe to say that we should adopt our place of birth as state of origin rather than choosing our parents place of origin. This may help to reduce the issue to tribal attack. Take for example, if you give birth in the US or Canada that child automatically becomes its citizen irrespective of parents' origin |

Alanno: Please can someone expatiate on what the law says on having 25% spread in 24 states including Abuja to win the election. This is what sub-section 2 of Section 134 of the Constitution says. In this instance, FCT is technically classified as a State so irrespective of whether a candidate has two-thirds or not in FCT, he is deemed duly elected. (2) A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being more than two candidates for the election-
(a) he has the highest number of votes cast at the election;
and
(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. |

N3TRAL: Who is more likely to be loyal on election day ?
A Card carrying member who worked for the Party for 10 years, invested everything in the party? Stepped down on one instance for an older member to be awarded the office of ward councillor in 2020 and has been promised to become a ward councillor in 2024 during local government elections.
Or
a 21 year old who has subscribed for Netflix and is not sure of going out if it rains?
There are hundreds of thousands of career politicians across Nigeria's grassroot politics whose entire hope of getting their next meal, building a house and feeding their children depends on returning their party's candidate.
Betraying their political party is like dropping out of school of medicine for no reason at 600 level. Answer to your question: NONE. I disagree on the bolded except you prove with statistics. Times have changed. Many Nigerians now demand accountability over gratification. If you have been to the Northern part of the country recently you will understand this |
Politics › Re: Political Party Structure In Nigeria: A Myth Or Reality? by Mikeloo: 6:18pm On Sep 23, 2022 |
N3TRAL: You're missing the point. The post does not talk about new voters or even ordinary voters. It talks about APC and PDP card carrying members and their immediate family or friends. I understand your analysis which is simple and straightforward. But it is not a sure-bet that APC or PDP will have over a million votes from the agents. Do you think all card carrying members including agents will actually be loyal on that election day? I would expect you build an assumption like half of the agent are able to do their work well to get voters on their side |
Politics › Re: Political Party Structure In Nigeria: A Myth Or Reality? by Mikeloo: 6:02pm On Sep 23, 2022 |
N3TRAL: Are APC and PDP structures in Nigeria a myth or reality?
There are 176846 (One Hundred Seventy Six Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Six ) polling units across Nigeria.
As it stands today, APC and PDP have at least one agent in each of the polling units.
If that agent brings just "5" (five ) people who may be his friends, community neighbour, or family member, it would be 6 people to vote for either APC or PDP in those places.
176846 * 6 = 1,061,076
As it stands today, if INEC announces this evening that there will be Presidential Election across Nigeria by 8AM tomorrow morning, APC and PDP are sure of at least 1 million votes each without campaign, preparation or even buying votes.
That is what party structure means.
This is not a permutation. It is a straightforward analysis. Counter it with superior arguments. I think your analysis is based on a two-horse race election. But as it seems we may have a four-horse race presidential election next year and the language from everyone is to defend your vote i.e. vote and stay for the count. Social media has help a lot to reduce any mago mago from the election officials I believe when the campaign start proper and any party that can maintain the momentum till 25th February, 2023 for campaign and sensitization as well as good policy will naturally build a structure without any agent. As it stands, we have over 96m registered voters. If half of these come out to vote with an average of 200 voters per PU, any party that garners one-third vote from each PU with or without agent is sure to go for runoff election or win out rightly. Next year Presidential election likely to be a replica of 1979 election |
