But there is something baffling about the so called Jagaban that people have not tried to reason out or acknowledge.

How can someone that almost had no party to contest from in 2023 where his party chairman, the president, the CBN governor, the INEC, the national assembly, the whole opposition was against him?

To make matters worse for himself, he dared to go for muslim/muslim ticket which nobody ever tried and pulled off in the history of this country (Abiola didn't make it).

He didn't stop at that, he went on national (and international) TV to castigate a sitting president (who wields enormous power) just days before election. In fact, the President had to break the law on election day showing his vote to the whole world to see that he voted APC pledging his loyalty to the man that told the whole world that "And he cried, and I told him come, don't worry, I will make you president" what the f..c.k?

Fast forward by 2 years, he is the President despite all the attacks of Reno, Seyi, Rufai, Hundeyin, Showore, etc. Not only that, most of those people are now rolling at his feet.

From almost having no party to now turning all opposition to "On your mandate we shall stand" almost turning Nigeria to a one party state.

2027 (barring death) is just a formality this time cementing his record has never to have lost any election he contested for. Another startling record.

Is this guy really a demi-god of politics? Note that till date nobody can say for sure where this guy actually came out from, all is speculations.

Hello Paul.

1. I know four people currently going to the school but they are Ghanaians and pls don't let us talk about it.

2.. It is not advisable while you are still in Nigeria because you can get yourself entangled in an entry-mistake and be sent back home for correction.

** When you arrive in the U.S. go to the DSO at your current University asking for a SEVIS transfer to the new University (you must have gotten admission). Your DSO will start the process and once its done (approximately 14-days) you will be notify immediately and the DSO at your new University will issue your New Form I-20. 👍
Thank you for the advice. I don't have the admission for the other school yet. I will work on that now.

Though would have loved to talk about number 1 in case I decide to stay put at Minnesota and rough it out. But there might be a good reason you don't want to talk about it. Thanks for your contribution.

Hello House, 2 quick questions

1. Is there anybody here by chance going to university of minnesota?

2. Is it advisable to change my school to another after securing visa (COA matters) and how to go about that

Godgivenchild:
Hello MikePaulGh,

Congratulations on your F-1 visa approval — I’m truly happy for you!

However, it’s important I make a few points clear:

1. Nairaland is an open forum, which means anyone can participate here regardless of their work, work ethics, intentions, or experience. It’s your personal responsibility to filter the advice you choose to listen to — whether it’s shared openly or through private conversations.

2. Please avoid generalizing what worked for you or using it as a basis to downplay the value of process, structure, and shared knowledge. Mock interviews and studying potential interview transcripts are valid and beneficial practices. They are part of what helps many people succeed in securing an F-1 visa. I won’t go into the details of their benefits now, but they remain relevant and helpful.

3. Regarding your mention of an agent allegedly trying to scam you — while it’s true that a genuine helper may not necessarily ask you to DM them, it’s also possible that certain information or advice might be better shared privately, given that this is an open forum. If it involves a paid service, that alone doesn’t classify it as a scam. However, if you paid for a service and didn’t get the promised value, it would be responsible to call out the individual so others can be cautious.

Once again, congratulations on your visa approval — wishing you the very best in your academic journey ahead!
Your points well noted.

Thank you.

Thanks to almighty. I got my approval today.

First time applicant.

One of the so called agents on this forum disguising as contributor actually frustrated me. I had to sit myself down what exactly is my problem that I will allow some semi illiterate scam me. I differed my admission and started the process myself, with tips I get here and there on this forum (who is genuine in assisting you will likely not tell you to chat him privately).

I didn't do any Mock or study any potential question and answer (no 2 applications are the same).

At the end of the day, all went well to His glory.

Go read this piece to educate yourself better oga. What Exactly Did The Electoral-Act-2022 Say About The Election Results.?

https://www.nairaland.com/7593483/what-exactly-did-electoral-act-2022-say#121405981
Section 149 of the Electoral Act says: Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Act, any defect or error arising from any actions taken by an official of the Commission in relation to any notice, form or document made or given or other things done by the official in pursuance of the provisions of the Constitution or of this Act, or any rules made thereunder remain valid, unless otherwise challenged and declared invalid by a competent court of law or tribunal.

Meaning whatever a competent court (In this case Appeal court and or Supreme court) declares on this issue overrides the the act and becomes the new law.

So if the supreme court says INEC is at liberty to use any means to transmit their results, and the same INEC chose to transmit manually, it doesn't matter what their guidelines say anymore, their decision is final.

Please @justwise and other gurus in the house can you advice me?

I have my LOA for January admission but packaging my POF is my challenge. I can't explain the bulk into my account (about 10m) because it is borrowed. I have another account I have about 5m which is ok. My intention now is for me to wait till Sept. before I submit my application so I can print 4 months statement starting from this May (the money hit my account in April).

Kindly advice, will it be too late waiting till 1st week in September to submit?

There's 2 semester in one program so $24,400 I guess is your first year tuition fees, they won't quote second year but you have to know that 24,400 multiply by 2 ie 2 years program.

Because that's how mine shows and I'm going for a 2 years program, some program first semester count as 4 month in Canada

I stand to be corrected
Thanks for your reply. But on the school site the whole program is 33 credits and the fees is 750 per credit which brings about the $24k. And also the LOA shows the first year tuition to be between 14,600 and 24,400 which is between 18 credits and 33 credits maximum.

I was thinking they put the minimum and the maximum there because the program allows for accelerated program, even though it's 2 years program, you are allowed to finish faster if you want.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by MikePaulGh(m): 6:36am On May 02, 2023
Hello house. Please my LOA states that my first year fee is $14,600 -$24,400 that is 18 to 33 credits. The total number of credits for the 2 years program is 33 credits.

My question is how much am I to show as my school fees for POF? because obviously the 24,400 is for the whole 2 years program, is that what I have to show?

Do you know that this is nothing to celebrate here, and infact that this indicts this Govt??

Clue: In 2014, Nigeria became the largest economy in Africa and valued at $509.9bn whilst South Africa was $370.3bn.

Today, Nigerian economy has according to your report in the OP declined to $472/402bn i.e a decline of about $38bn( it would even be more if you take into account inflation rate between then and now).

The only reason SA overtook us was that our growth since then has been very sluggish with us entering into a recession(successive "negative" growth). The reason why you just overtook SA again is that they just entered their 2nd recession within the period.

In real terms, none of the countries grew.

So quit that Buhari worship. On the economy, as with almost everything else, he has failed.
Yeah, having the idea of the price of crude oil in 2014 which Nigeria's economy is based on actually says it all. It was on a year high of $108/barrel compared with the price of oil right now (the highest we've had between 2015 to date is 66/barrel apart from 2018 it went up briefly to 71.

With those figures if you play around with the numbers the way bloomberg analysts always do, then you can actually say the country grew

I am not a fan of nominal growth but rather absolute.

All these largest economy things in Africa are just bullsh^t when 95% of the economy is being controlled by by about 2% of the population and the remaining 5% is what the rest 98% of the population is struggling with.
