It's no longer news that applicants for the Batch A stream II 2023 NYSC program has been deployed to several states by the NYSC Board.

Most applicants are filled with different emotions as regards their deployed state of service.

As an applicant, where have you been posted to? Kindly share, so others in your states can get to know each other.

One thing that has been trending for a while is guys being victims of relationship packages like:

1: Heartbreak
2: Cheating
3: Domestic violence

The worst part is that they come online LAMENTING...

Met the woman i was directed to. She had six empty plastic chairs around her!
I was directed to sit opposite her.
She sat down with fingers crossed, smiling sheepishly. Couldn't even greet. I asked her;

Me: Good morning. Are we not going to discuss?
She: wait for others to join you.
Me: (pissed off...) I really dont have that time.
She: You came for something right? You came for a job? Wait till the end. Patience is a virtue.
Me: (I was speechless....)

5 minutes or there about, 5 others joined. Young teenagers! Seems like they dragged them from the streets. Then she started!

She: Welcome! Please what are you names?
(She started by asking each and everyone of us...)

Then she went talking about the rich and the poor, their mentality difference, and how salary is a modern form of slavery to humanity, especially Nigerians.

One thing I noticed was that, she was really picky about me. Asking me most of the major questions, prolly because of how good I dressed and smelled. Her questions were becoming annoying.

Talking for about 20 minutes, i noticed other segments wrapped up and the chairs where been arranged serially, more like a major meeting was about to hold. Speakers were connected, people were directed to sit down!

Finally we wrapped up! I wanted to go! But these women won't let me! They took me to the front seat! My goodness it was horrible!

Then suddenly, an average heighted woman from no where came out shouting;

Woman: Alright! Alright!
(Some people at the back, and in the congregation): Okay! Okay!
And some other chants I can't get a hold of now...
.
This woman started boasting, addressing some of the audience as 'poor' and how she was once like us, until she took the bold step that changed her life for the best. She kept on boasting and boasting!
She spoke about one of the females that was brought to her, and how the girl was impatient to leave! And that's how youth keep on choosing to suffer! Said things about the young female.

Coincidentally, the girl in question sat just at my back, she started talking back, calling her a liar! That she's lying! That she was lied to about a job, and that's how they keep lying.
.
I was getting bored! I had to leave. Made a fake call, stood up and was about locating the doorway that leads to the stairs, when three ladies blocked me again! And said I should go back! Lol, see wahala!
Seeing my persistence, they insisted I should meet that same director! Seeing their persistence, I went to see him.
.
The young man acted like he didn't notice my presence, until I hollered! The conversation ensued;
.
Director: oh sorry! I didn't know you were here! Was busy with some clients abroad! You know these company is a life changer, you are lucky to be here!
Me: Hmmm, okay. So what about the job of the supervisor?
Director: Okay! About that, you'll fill a form, but first let me show you how much I earn in a month.
(He showed me some payment receipts from 2018 - 2022. Which now amounted to N328K)
Director: this is what I receive monthly from this company, just from being an owner of my own business. You can own your own business, it's a choice you have to make. So you'll fill this form, and pay an amount of N22,100 to own your business. You'll be given an ID card, polo and a website so you could function as a business man and supervise it yourself.

Hi good day!
It's disheartening to pen this down here, but I just have to, so others can learn from it.
I'm a recent graduate, and as body dey hot, I've started applying for jobs.
Just this week alone, I've gone for over 5 interviews. The interview yesterday being the 22nd of July made it the 5th one.

I applied for the position of a supervisor via indeed.com and few hours later, I was emailed that I was invited for an interview at Asaba! Checked for the company online, and God bless nairaland, I saw that it was one of those Gnld company. I never went for the interview.
.
Earlier on thursday , 21st july, I applied for a job of a supervisor, I got the job notice via an aunty. Prepared for it big on Friday!
Waaahla! Friday came. Dressed very nice, took my cv as instructed! And also they said I should get writing materials! Lol... that skipped my mind.
.
The text contained the address, along airport road, warri.
I alighted at the junction as addressed in the text, and I started trekking down the street as instructed. In the process, thoughts started flying in, there were no companies in sight, just houses and bungalows! I discarded the thought!
.
Finally, I located the place. Met the woman, a young, not bright looking woman, she directed me to a girl they called secretary! I met her, I penned my name, number and signed.
.
They directed me through a staircase, the guy I met there told me to put my phone on silent. Hmmm, ethics! I thought! Discarded the thoughts... I was directed to the top floor!
.
Guys! To my greatest surprise, i met black people of all types and sizes, in group fragments, having what I saw to be a seminar/lecture!
They saw me and started calling me! It was too much they resorted to dragging me, but a guy they called the director intervened. A young dark guy, with chains/jewelries on him. Sat with him, and the conversation below ensued;

Director: so, why are you here sir?
Me: *(still perplexed with the whole scenario...) just pointed at the lady that brought me!
Director: so you are here for a job I presume?
Me: yes.
Director: you brought your cv?
Me: (I gave him, still observing the area)...
Director: Hmmm, so how much would you want me to pay you?
Me: Nothing less than 80k
Director: okay, that's nice. Before we discuss, please kindly follow this lady, she'll direct you to a woman that will give you a brief orientation about our company. After that then we can talk.
Me: (wondering why... I asked; Please, why am I to go there? Why cant you brief me here?
Director: No, it's Protocol!
Me: (getting pissed off, I stood and followed the woman)

Congratulations to all polytechnic students, as the meeting today was held in favor of the students. And the body has agreed to suspend it's over 2-months ongoing strike.

As we all await the final declaration on Wednesday from the ASUP NATIONAL NEC MEETING, all students should endeavor to prepare themselves as school is to resume soon.

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has said it will commence a nationwide indefinite strike beginning April 6, 2021 in all the nation’s polytechnics over unresolved issues between its members and the federal and some state governments.

The union also advocated the immediate reconstitution of governing councils for federal and state-owned polytechnics and full implementation of the provisions of the Federal Polytechnics Act as well as its domestication in Adamawa, Sokoto, Niger and other non-compliant states.

The ASUP President, Mr. Anderson Ezeibe, while reading the communiqué at the end of the National Executive Council meeting of the union held in Katsina Friday, said the strike became necessary following the inability of government to implement agreements reached with the union.


He listed the issues in contention to include failure to implement the 2014 NEEDS Assessment Report on government-owned polytechnics and the non-implementation of 65 years retirement age for academic staff in some state-owned polytechnics.

Other outstanding issues, according to Ezeibe, included the non-payment of promotion arrears in federal polytechnics and non-payment of annual increments in some states of the federation.

He said: “In view of the unresolved issues in our previous communications and after extensive deliberations, the union resolved to withdraw the services of its members across the nation in a comprehensive industrial action from the 6th of April, 2021.


“The industrial action is to draw the attention of the government on the need to release the 10 months arrears of the new minimum wage owed our members in federal polytechnics and the implementation of same in states yet to implement the new minimum wage.

“Release owned staff salaries in Abia, Ogun, Osun, Benue, Plateau, Edo and Cross Rives States and implement full salary payments in Sokoto, Kaduna, Adamawa and other institutions with such reports.”

He urged government to, as a matter of urgency, withdraw what he termed a letter containing spurious, incoherent and unsubstantiated claims of pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) tax liabilities in 19 federal polytechnics across the country.

Kogi State has improved, true.
But this endorsement is sentimental.

Then post pictures of yourself and set the location to another country or place where the scammer will be confused and can not think of how to get you to send cash.

If she has no mutual friends with you simply change number.

Next time NEVER ALLOW A STRANGER KNOW MORE OF YOUR DETAILS THAN YOU KNOW OF THEIRS

And never share things online. It's never private.

Report the matter to a police station and also the bank and the account will be freezed then the police will trace the phone number for you and apprehend the thief.

And you can come back here to expose it because am sure you are not the only victim.

Also drop the phone number and Facebook profile name or link of the lady her so we can help you bash her online.
