Read that article again. Once you realize that those farmers mentioned are very poor rural folks too, you might begin to change your outlook. There's always a solution if you are determined. I agree but who will bell the cat. who will show them that it is possible. you can't give what you don't have. |

Dairy farming is thriving across Kenya and all those areas share same climatic conditions with differents parts of Nigeria. It is not because something has not been attempted means it is not possible.
l woke up this morning to a 14°C Nairobi and will be going lower in the coming days but it does not stop kolanut trees doing well here! I'm not saying all plants are exclusive to certain habitats. just that some are unique and can/may not be economical to produce for export. also I don't believe Kenya is rain forest region so may not have tsetse fly |

What is killing we yorubas is our Education, and Igbos is money, we allow education sanity to blind us while these notherners goes streetwise with us.. Until we Yorubas or southerners learn to help ourselves, we'l be behind d hausas.. Innovator90: I have never seen a tribalistic government like Buhari's government. The funny thing is he does it like its normal thing without conscience.
For the new Inspector-General of Police, Nigerians as usual are so dumb or distracted to know that Buhari bypassed 5 Deputy Inspectors-General of Police because the next in line was from the south, and went to pick someone from the North from the list of Assistant Inspector-General of Police who are under Deputy Inspector-General of Police by rank and law. Same thing happened in the Customs except a northerner outsider; military man, was brought in when the next in line was from the south. As usual, the south foolishly turned a blind eye. 90% of all custom comptroller generals since the creation of Nigeria are from the north. 100% of all EFCC chairmen since creation almost 15 yrs ago are from the north.
Someone should pls tell me anywhere in history of our democratic dispensation where an Inspector General of police was chosen from Assistant Inspector-General of Police. Same with Customs, where an outsider was brought in. who southerner help? And when e happen na dem go enter road go carry gun ba? |

Politics › Re: Do You Regret Voting For President Buhari ? by mikolo80: 4:29pm On Jun 21, 2016 |
helphelp: Hello guys,
The idea of the above topic is not only to get a "yes" or "no" response. But to also know your reasons for either answer.
As for me, I expected so much from this government, as I honestly voted them wholeheartedly.
But, at this point I must say I want to believe in this famous quote "the devil you know, is better than the angel you don't know".
My basis of regrets are quite much but can be limited to the below:
1. Low power outage 160 million people managing 5000mw for 66yrs what do you expact ?
2. Job losses no power for 66yrs to power industry what do you expect?
3. Increase in PMS which in turn increases transportation no refineries for 50yrs what do you expect
4. Unresponsive attitude towards fulani herdsmen attack no comment but i expect nigerians to respond like men not like cowards
Please note that, the above is my own opinion. I've heard people say "it gets worse before it gets better"...then I ask, for how long...it's a different thing when steps are glaring to make things better... you don't put water inside basket when some ppl suffer for looting even his untochable party members will watch their step lest they lose elections and become recipients of same treatment And if you must know, I have really studied this government's approach towards passing policies, but I'll only discuss two of it...the subsidy removal and floating of the Naira.
The Fuel Subsidy removal
In simple terms, the present day government stretches the hardship to get PMS...unending scarcity of the commodity, forcing the populace to adhere to outrageous black market prices, get them to be used to it and then they remove subsidy and they take the messiah stand.
Remember for some, the N145/litre is like making the black market price they are used to legit, so all they want and cry for is availability of the product.
Floating our currency
We know the Buhari led government has been adamant to devalue the Naira, so businesses had to struggle, some close down over a period of 16 sad months of stubbornness.
Anyways, fast forward to Monday...just like the PMS, people are so used to N380 to a $ that they forget already that in plain terms dollar has shifted from 197 to 288 (devalue with sense)...all they focus on is the parallel market...to all, government is the messiah again to have brought up a policy that gave the Naira strength. N380 to N288 is a big deal isn't it? stop importing what you can produce you lazy person enter farm o tooothpick factory
To be honest, I can't wait for better days. But I know it could have been better with another person at the elms of affairs. Be it KOWA or any other party
Please let's hear from you guys as well...
NB: pardon any typographical error, as I typed all these hastily to get back to work (Na lie oooo, na sleep I dey sleep so)
kowa could only win one rep seat so stop dreaming only other option is pdp that put us in this mess we find ourself no i do no regret voting for buhari and would do so again until a better person volunteers to replace him not all thes pat utomi type gramarians o,serious volunteers |

Politics › Re: A Very Truthful Legal Reality On The EFCC/FG Vs Gov. Fayose Account Freezing. by mikolo80: 4:03pm On Jun 21, 2016 |
limitless777: A lot has been said about the recent freezing of the account of Gov. Fayose by the "almighty" without recourse to constitutional provision.
I decided not to quickly join the charade because of the uselessness of PDP and their attempt to introduce grazing in our communities, however, It will be unjust not to lend a voice to this full blown tyranny, this state of nature, especially when it concerns a governor who have been the leading voice of the opposition and who have been standing for what is right.
Apathy in such circumstance is as good as evil. What is interesting is not that those who think it is cool for the judge presiding over the "certificateless Ness" of the president to adjourn the case sine die, are now happy with this development, it appears that even Gov. Ayodele Fayose does not know the exact section which protects him.
Section 308 of the 1999 constitution prohibits any form of prosecution of a sitting governor but recourse to the present case by citing that section will not be obvious to the large group of illiterate followers of Hitler.
It will be difficult explaining the illegality of the freezing of the account of the Governor citing only that section. The supporters will try to make a distinction between prosecution and investigation. I have seen some of them pasting the laughable excuse from Magu.
This is where the EFCC Act itself comes in and EFCC has lawyers working there. Can they explain to me the federal high court they sought powers from before freezing of the account of the Governor?
This is where section 308 now comes in handy. To freeze an account, you have to come by way of motion exparte to a federal high court. Can you take Fayose to court? No Why? S.308 prevents it.
Is it Fayose ' s fault that you decided to have section 308? No Those of you presently advocating for the automatic removal of section 308 without any formal constitutional amendments are comedians. So we should now delete that section from our memory simply because you want Fayose punished?
How about get the section removed first, then go after Fayose? That way, those of us who are aggrieved over what the president have been done can also sue him.
It is called fairness. to hell with fairness. they must all sweat out our stolen yams |
