Almiron:They will most likely finish in top 4. What other options are there? Spurs or Man United. City has been losing for weeks but both clubs have not even taken advantage. Maybe Villa can spring a surprise but I'm not sure. At some point city will get back to winning ways. |
The event in Magdeburg is confusing. - Saudi National - Wanted in Saudi for terrorism charges - Seeked asylum in Germany in 2006 - Germany refused to extradite him - Well known for his pro-Israel stance on X - Also for his anti-Islam stance - Retweets racist accounts like Radio Genoa - Supports the AFD Party in Germany - Pro Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson Crazy development

Ghostagain:What will they be looking for in Nigeria? Armed groups in Nigeria do not have the financial capabilities to pay them. For the rest of the developed world, a destabilized Nigeria is not in their best interests. With over 150 million youths, most of whom are eager to leave the country, a destabilized Nigeria is the perfect reason for many to claim asylum in these countries, especially in Europe. Add that to the fact that the country is very corrupt and nationals of other African countries can easily get Nigerian passports. Nigeria might suffer from terrorism and increase in violent crime, but I don't think we will ever get to the stage of civil war or a group marching on the capital in the next 10 years. |
paulpostles:Hello Bros, Please the opportunity card appointment you got, did you apply in Nigeria? And how many months after application did you get the appointment. I'll really appreciate your response. |
digilexsolution:I understand. I called the embassy and they didn't pick up. I emailed them and got a generic reply. How about applying in other African countries like Ivory Coast and Ghana. Is it the same for all of them? |
Hannania:Thank you. I can't imagine waiting over one year for an appointment. Can someone even call the Lagos embassy to ask these things. One year is a very long time. |
I'm sorry to bother you guys since this is for student visa but I'm urgently in need of advice about the opportunity card. Does anyone know how long it takes to get appointment for opportunity Card/Chancekarte? I have someone that needs to leave the country as soon as possible. Before we go ahead with the blocked account, we would like to know if the person can get an appointment and travel in 3-4 months. The person finished a masters in Germany if that changes anything. |
WrriterNg:Conflicts can never end in this life ![]() |
I doubt the person that wrote this is even a lawyer sef. So many grammatical errors in one small print. Btw op, it's not legal. No one gives a yearly tenant a 7-day notice. But then, this is Nigeria where the rule of law is tossed aside most times. I hope you don't have any outstanding rents. |
WrriterNg:To be honest, I can't even give a honest opinion on the events in Syria. I haven't had time to follow them properly, except just seeing periodic updates. I am still waiting to see how this works for Hezbollah. But one thing is clear now, Syria is the new Libya. Hopefully, |
I couldn't believe this is a newspaper headline. From the Telegraph about HTS. Al Qaeda is being rebranded in my lifetime. Unbelievable. WTF is diversity-friendly jihadists?
|
So refreshing to see Ilamina on this list. I don't even know him/her and never had any exchange with him/her. I just wish whoever it is can disappear from nairaland. Creates senseless and very annoying threads. Makes me wish nairaland has a block or mute button. |
Life is funny Sha. Never in my life did I ever envision mainstream support and active cheering for Al Qaeda, especially from those who kept calling us Islamists because we support freedom for Palestinians. One slave was blabbing all about when I said Al Qaeda was not attacking US and her allies again because they are now fighting for US interests. A former ISIS, Al Qaeda and Al Nusra terrorist leader now being rebranded as a suit-wearing "rebel leader". Interesting. I await the day when these "house slaves" will tell us Boko Haram are freedom fighters ![]()

motayoayinde:Not really. The Syrian army is definitely much more better armed and capable than the Lebanese Army can ever dream of. That's the problem with frozen conflicts. The Syrian army got too relaxed after fighting stopped, the others built up. During a blitz like this, you have to choose where could be easily defended. The LAF on the other hand had a year of announcements to prepare. They don't even deserve to be called an army. |
obedience4:Maybe if she actually cared about the movement and the girls, she would have told her foolish husband not to stand in the way of bringing those girls back. Just saying..... Sekuseye eeyan I did not see where I said US seized cash nor arrested arm dealers. Your eyes dey work so? Imagine a country who cannot live and let live. Trying to impose barbaric cultures and going out all the way to hurt the country and her citizens by standing aggressively in the way of the country legitimately defending her citizens, indirectly causing thousands of deaths of our countrymen. Should the last question even be a question? I'm sure Northerners on the thread can answer you definitively. Imagine Yobe, Adamawa and Borno when GEJ was doing beggy-beggy for weapons. Let me refresh people's memories a bit. Abuja collect sef plenty times, most notably Nyanya and Wuse bombings. 88 deaths and 200 injuries in Nyanya bus station alone. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_2014_Nyanya_bombing https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuse_bombing Jos, Plateau was also collecting, most notably the May 2014 double bombings that killed 118 of our countrymen. Baga Massacre, January 2015. 2000 people . Baga suffered a massacre twice. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Baga_massacre By now, maybe we would have been talking about Boko Haram in Kogi, Nasarawa, and Illorin sef. Na GEJ I blame na. E put eyes for only one place. As much as I dislike Buhari, when it comes to terrorism and infrastructure, baba no dey sideline anybody. Always shopping around from anybody. Anyway, thanks to former President Trump for removing most of the evils of Obama from our dear country. It will not be well for Obama and whoever defends Obama in Nigeria.

Lebanese people returning to their homes. Peep the flags being flown.

In other news, it seems a new front will be opening in Syria now. US-supported HTS, a coalition of anti-Assad rebels which includes 'former' terrorists and Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra have just begun a large offensive towards Aleppo in Syria. Hezbollah, which is the main force in the defense of Aleppo was pre-occupied and is now 'technically free. Will Hezbollah take the bait to go and defend Syria instead? Will Russia also divert manpower and resources from Ukraine towards Syria? We await. Seems the Middle-East will never be free of war ![]() |
Jovi10:We have addressed the issue here before. I have no plans to revisit it but it's funny how they are even trying to twist history of just 10 years ago. A history where almost all involved are still alive. Imagine what they'll say 50-100 years from now. It wasn't just about selling us weapons. They have the right to sell to whoever they please. But they were actively blocking all efforts by Nigeria to purchase weapons from other countries. Nigeria had to be smuggling cash to buy from black market dealers, hence the large amount of cash seized in South Africa. The stupid wife of foolish Obama was now hypocritically carrying BBOG banners when it was her husband standing in the way of bringing those girls back. GEJ was a fool to not have turned to Russia much earlier. It was only when elections was close that he turned to Russia. By then it was too late. Thank God for Russia sha. Boko Haram was capturing local government by local government. Maybe them for don capture like 7 states for Nigeria if Russia didn't come through for us.

Adebisi444:I guess it shattered your expectation about Israeli prowess. That it destroyed your outlook on Israel doesn't escape reality. Most of the details are even hidden in many of the news reports. You only have to read it with a brain. I hope you know how to read maps. "Wadi Saluki is located around 10 kilometers from Israel’s border, and the Litani River in the eastern sector is around four kilometers from the northern Israel town of Metula." - Times of Israel "Since Friday, Israeli forces have advanced from Kafr Kila, a border town in the southeast, approaching the town of Deir Mimas, town mayor George Nakad told Mada Masr" - This was just three days ago. Now that you have been educated. Next time, don't quote me with nonsense. Cc; shoodboi2
|
This asslicker always makes me laugh. Will Hezbollah man the borders before? Wasn't the borders manned by UNIFIL and the LAF before? Trying to force a victory where there is none. The LAF is only returning to where it was before. It's the official Armed Forces of Lebanon and basically returning to its duties of manning the country's borders and policing the country. And btw, the LAF is a weak-ass army no one rates. 60k strong army that couldn't protect her country's borders. Experts in announcing its own causalities by calling its soldiers who died from Genocidaire Israel aggression martrys. Martyrs of Cowardice. |
Lawag3:Use Google lens and then translate. Do you think Israel defeated Hezbollah 61% - No 26% - Yes 13% - Not sure |
Allthelight:My brother, just stick to calling people Islamists and giving your one word answers abeg. I don't think you understand anything beyond that. In other news, Israel Channel 13 poll. Looks like 61+13% of occupier settlers have small brain.
|
shoodboi2:The gist is that Deir Mimas, a Christian village very close (1km to Litani) and which specifically requested no Hezbollah presence allowed them pass through. From that village, a small amount of soldiers snuck through to go and take the PR pictures someplace near the Litani and then quickly retreated before Hezbollah could welcome them properly. After retreating, they then flooded the internet with the images. That's why you don't see any heavy machinery with them. The village is just above Kafr Kila on this map. See how close it is to the Litani area and Metulla in Israel. If shameless was a name. Imagine doing Ukraine style propaganda photos against a non-state actor like Hezbollah.
|
Israel in Gaza; - Failed to rescue the prisoners - Failed to wipe out Hamas - Warrants out for war crimes - Israel (and Israelis) now a global pariah - Lost mainstream legitimacy |
Lawag3:You're being trying to be clever by half. Everything they said they would do, they planned to do it militarily in three weeks. This was even at a point where Hezbollah was at its weakest ever in its History. They failed. Israel has repeatedly stated its most important goal to be the dismantling of Hezbollah military and political structure in Lebanon. That's why they were hitting areas Hezbollah was not even in control of. They failed to generate the civil strife they have hoped for inside Lebanon. Hence why we see Netanyahu address the Lebanese people directly so many times like in the attached image. Go and check Israeli leaders posts and their frustration with non-Shia Lebanese citizens. About returning the Northern residents, the goal was to do it militarily. They failed. Now if this is signed, both Northern Israel and Southern Lebanese people might return to their homes. They failed to destroy the capabilities of Hezbollah as they said they would. It turned out to be a needless war especially for Hezbollah who took losses for no reason if Gaza was not mentioned. I'm still waiting for confirmation from them tomorrow. Quick question; If there is a ceasefire agreement today between Hamas and Israel. The return of all hostages in return for end of hostilities in Gaza, would you say Israel also achieved its objectives in Gaza?
|
nedu666:Both pro-Israel and pro-Hezbollah are not even happy with the deal. Hamas and Gaza seems to be the only ones to actually lose out from the ceasefire deal. We await further details and confirmation. |
Lawag3:Stop pulling distorted facts from your anus. Hezbollah is not moving beyond the litany river. It is only expected to relocate heavy weapons north of the river. Israel will withdraw from the Southern border and the LAF will move in to control their side of the border. I don't even know why both will depend on an army that usually decides not to show up. We already know why Israel are now pushing for a ceasefire in Lebanon. Anyway, we'll see tomorrow about Hezbollah and Gaza. And btw, both 'armies' did not achieve their objectives
|
Looks like a ceasefire in Lebanon is imminent. Waiting for confirmation tomorrow to see if there are clauses in Gaza in it. |

chrisxxx:I don't understand what you mean? I didn't praise nor condemn the action. I only added clarification that the man was a military personnel and not a civilian. |
kalvoken:I can basically see your numbers and names on your nairaland profile. Think twice before threatening someone here. I no dey hear abeg and please sir from people mama whenever I decide to take action. Take that as a warning. |
The man was an IDF soldier and mossad operative. Not a rabbit as claimed
