Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Entrepreneurship Is Not The Solution To Unemployment In Nigeria by mimibright(m): 2:52pm On Jan 24, 2016
Charism:
Entrepreneurship seems to be the order of the day today, the press glorifies it, government officials put lots of emphasis on it as the only way out of poverty, its even a compulsory course for all university students. NYSC is all about it, from your afternoon lectures in camp, to your SAEED. But is it really worth it? Are they telling us the truth, or is it mere propaganda by politicians to give excuses for their failure?
Daily we are bombarded by happy ending stories of people who made it by starting up their business, we are told to emulate the likes of Dangote, Otedola, mike Adenuga. But the bitter truth is that not everyone will make it like Dangote. As a matter of fact the chances of Success is Very rare.
People who make it are the lucky ones, lucky in the sense that the have opportunities that others never had or will never have which they harnessed to their advantage.
Opportunities like capital, good location, skills, business climate, experience e.t.c. These variable are not things you have control over. Take for example Dangote started his business with just #500,000 (a huge amount of money during the 70's) given to him by his uncle Dantata (one of the richest men in nigeria at that time) who also groomed him in the tricks of business management. There are many people who have beautiful business plans out there, but no capital to fund them. Even when the capital is available, you don't any experience about the business climate of the business you are venturing into, its like a blind man crossing the highway unaided.
The truth of the matter is that not everyone is meant to be entreperneurs, if you believe in the determination, nothing-can-stop-me mantra, you might probably end up with a small food-stuff shop/kiosk business, or like the road side akara seller whose income would not be enough for you to start a family. If it were that easy, then our proffesors of business administration in our universitys, would have been top business moguls by now.
Truth be told, our politicians need to sit up! And make economic policies to would encourage investment and growth. If the economy is favourable, both entrepreneurs and employees, would be better-off.
OP this is why an Igbo

cool coolThank you all for the numerous advices and suggestions. Unfortunately, my GF is not helping matters at all. Even tho I respect her privacy and person, I had to violate that due to this situation by secretly going thru her phone whatsapp messages and text messages. I read to everything and I even discovered more scary tales. The moment she noticed I was with her phone, she told me she needed to make a call and I gave it back to her only for her to delete all messages, made her call and dropped her phone back to the table. I picked it up and checked again and Viola!!! All messages abracadabra. I'm just smiling now and feeling like a Don acting like I don't know nothing... cool cool. Thanks yall... I think I can handle it all from here. Since she has decided to be a player, I'll coach her some more before silently walking away. Don't ask me how.

RomanceRe: Help!!! My Girlfriend And My Sister Are Enemies... I Need Advice Urgently by mimibright(m): 8:08am On Jan 21, 2016
jayhumble:
Good evening fellas...

I love my Girlfriend so much. She happened to be my sisters friend back in the University. Well they were staying in same hostel back then. I didn't meet her thru my sister, we met during an occasional event way back 2014. My sister has been silent about everything right from the on set she saw her pic on my phone, little did I know my lil sister was waiting for the right time to strike. Well, I finally built the courage to introduce my GF to my mom since I have decided to step our relationship up. The moment I gisted my sister about my plans... She went on whatsapp and warned my GF to leave me and go back to her ex. I still didn't know any of this was going on until my GF sent a text to my sister saying "If you don't want me to marry you brother, I will leave your brother for you and marry someone else".
The moment my sister got that message, she started telling me her story back in school and how she cheated on her 'then bf' when they had a little misunderstanding and she dated someone else pending the time she settled with her BF. She keeps telling me she is not a type of girl to be trusted and all these blah blah blah girls talk. She even had to call a guy who has dated her before and put it on speaker but I didn't mind cuz I felt it's just a girl to girl things...
My GF broke into tears while telling me all these on phone and actually confessed to every allegations laid on her. Went to check my sister's phone to re-read all their chats and I didn't like what I saw actually but I'm still playing matured.
Now this whole issue has blown up to their alumni whatsapp group where all her mates were accusing her of leaving her ex BF just because she found a greener grass.. All those type of talk.

My question now is that... Should I overlook her past and all these drama and proceed with my plans? Can I trust her with herhuh

Please I need advise from matured minds only .

Truth be told, all students have heard this 1001 times....

But there's no encouragement in the society, when you see Martin Elechi of 85 years still contesting for political power where do you now want the students to occupy when they are done with school?

Even if they resort to entrepreneurship the society is still a barrier, no stable power supply neither is there security.

It all bothers on the government and their policies. A government that gives youths 1million naira immediately after graduation to start up a business will encourage many other youths to become entrepreneurs.
What of those who started with nothing? I mean absolutely nothing sad truth be told youths of today are lazy!! They have the mentality of if e no dey pay now I no dey do! I remember when I started I was the joke of the day! Everyone thought I was stupid including friends in church. Today they want to identify with me and want me to employ them. No one should blame the government that's rubbish. No food for a lazy man!!!

Something similar happened to me n marriage scares me now even tho am not rich yet talkless of u dat will feel like, I don't wanna fall into d hands of gold diggers.

My advice.

1. Do u best to forget anything about ur past relationship issues.

2. Don't see ladies like bird of the same feathers

3. Try making new female friends (don't show interest in relationship immediately)

4. Try not to reveal your status in any ways.

Lastly and very important.

5. Don't bow down to pressure, take ur time n use it wisely.
Thanks hommi, BTW I have lots of female friends but am just not Dating any.

My name is Fred, friends call me CJ, lol, I am 25. Okay I graduated from the uni some years back and followed my passion of becoming a business man In the oil and gas sector. Yea dreams come true and I own two companies presently and God is really blessing me, using my uncle pushing govnt contracts to us. It happened that before the wealth I have been in series of relationships that ended up with hearth breaks cause the girls always cheated and I always find out. 5 different girls I really loved, the last girl I dated VIVIAN was the love of my life and I planned to marry her, introduced her to my mom and they loved her. Yea I was a hustler then, she bleeped this guy who told her he is an oil worker and washed her brain till she slept with him in less than a week she met him. Yea I found out cause I hacked her Whatsapp account (am an IT guru, pls don't ask me to teach you how to do it). For like 3 months I felt seriously ill cause of her. I later made a vow to face the money mehn and leave them girls. 3 years later I made it. Now I have a serious problem, all these girls look fake to me. I can't even date any, I don't know how to love anymore. If I want to have sex I ask my friends and even offer to pay them. I don't know what's wrong with me, no matter how hard I try to love someone I just can't. When they say I love you am like yea me too as if I know what that means. Lil sis hubby suggested I be a single parent till am ready to let go, its possible in Europe because its part of their life style. My mom even offered to find a girl I can marry cause even her noticed I have this problem. I really need help forgetting what these ladies did to me but I don't know how to go about it. I don't want to punish my wife for the sins these usless girls committed.

CareerRe: The Hard Truth About Your Salary by mimibright(m): 10:11pm On Jan 12, 2016
Okay guys if u think entrepreneurship is for school dropouts ur missing the point. These days graduates drop their certificates and take the hussle routh. They know it takes alot of hussle to be like otedola or dangote and yea book smart too. The point is no matter how many millions you earn monthly, a business man who has a drilling company earns hundreds of millions monthly that your company can ever pay you
Even if it doesn't come everyday he certainly will earn somewhere between 50mil. Hustle pays but starting from scratch is a nightmare especially if you have a family you feed. Make your wife hear say you wan quiet your job you will end up in the village with your uncle's for a family meeting.
Christianity EtcRe: My Experience At A Church Today Almost Made Me Cry by mimibright(m): 12:33am On Jan 11, 2016
Weeee:
I was at a Church today and I almost wept for the black race. Is it that people don't read their Bibles or they just choose to be gullible and stupid?

The Pastor or Prophet as he claimed he was always said that he isn't a beggar and he doesn't need anybody's money, but his actions were quite different. He acted like a beggar to me.

He was even so bold to request for so much money from his members and they saw nothing wrong at all. Okay, let me list all the money he collected so you can see for yourselves.

1) Who wants to give God the biggest note he/ she has in his/ her pocket?

2) Brown envelope.

3) White envelope.

4) Offering

5) Who wants to give money to the visiting Prophet? Tell the prophet thank you, Sow a seed now.

6) If you have 5000, 10,000 or any big amount of money you want to give to God.

Women came out mostly and I must say the church made almost N200, 000 or even more in just a day and this happens every Tuesday and other days they fellowship.

Things I noticed about the church...

1) The Pastor is an owner of a big car, while the members were mostly poor women and few men.

2) The Pastors dressed far better than the members. In fact, the members looked like people with lots of financial problems.

3) The only things the members get from these Pastors are prayers and a promise that God will reward them in 2016. I remember that I went to this same church some years back and the members still looked the same with no much of a change.

When will Nigerians get back to their senses to realize that these Pastors are using their beliefs, emotions and gullibility to steal all the money they have?

Only when we begin to think and come to a reasonable conclusion that God doesn't need money, but humans do, that is when we will begin to think right.

I wish I could take a video of what went on.
This is why I stopped going to church then later joined Anglican. Modern churches are crap with fake pastors!! Yes I said it, I judged a man of God you can report me to Jesus it won't stop it from being the truth.

Would he be rich?
I know a man who started from leasing tankers and trucks some years back, he had about 8 of them and they where hired by construction companies and he gets around 500k for each. Not to mention he lifts petrol products and supplies to companies. This alone gives him around 1mil monthly income. That's around 5mil monthly and 60mil yearly not to mention other businesses, will he be rich or not? These man your talking about will soon be retired and you know what happens to most of them? They die from one stupid illness or the other and its because they have little or no idea of how to invest this money and keep up with their expensive lifestyle. Many of them arnt prepared for the hustle bro.
CareerRe: Can One Become Rich As A Salary Earner? by mimibright(m): 8:09am On Jan 09, 2016
Firstly it depends on your definition of rich. If you mean buying venza and range rovers of 5mil, a house and sending kids to study abroad, wifey shoping in dubai, a house in town and villa, a few investments (mostly houses for rent) YES!! But this happens close to your retirement and depends very well on your type of job ( oil worker, NDDC STAFF ETC. ). If your a civil savant you won't smell close to this life but if you ever do, you must be corrupt, and u will be retired like really soon and don't ask me why. But if you mean becoming a billionaire, with investments worth hundreds of millions (hotels, houses, oil vessels, drilling companies, oil servicing companies , houses in USA, dubai ,flying in and out of the country like it's your backyard ) and yes a house in banana island worth 500m. NOOOOO!!! IMPOSSIBLE Except you steal your companies money and run don't ever come back even if EFCC ARREST YOUR MOM. OFF YOUR PHONE!! AND CONVINCE YOUR WIFE TO CUT TIES WITH HER FAMILY.
This is why it's like this:
1. We Nigerians have a problem with money once we are paid and taken care of by any company. They give u everything bro. Some even take care of your kids medication and scholarships. And did I mention company loans? that's why they buy venza and pay later.
2. salary earners are limited!! you think it's easy to manage a business from work? You could but your sales person will knack you maga tire. have u concidered a life changing deal? A contract a business man can luckily get because he is opportuned to meet such people can cover your 10 years salary bro. And become a don over night and you will say it's blood money.
3. your company don't want to hear that you have a business somewhere taking your time or they will query you, and you will risk loosing your job. so it has to be done on low key.
These are a few a can say for now. Happy weekend !
