Check dssc criteria on the site, it is the last thing stated under entry requirements .

In 2014 a few females went for the SSC selection board, none went for training and it seems it was on purpose. I was not surprised when I saw the advise given to females on the site saying we are advised to apply under Medical, legal or PR.

I applied for this Airforce DSSC. I had 3rd Class in Comp. Sc. Considering where am applying from which Education less advantage area (North East.)
What are my chances? Remember the criteria says minimum of 2.2!!! mature mind please.

The last time I heard about a consideration because of educational backwardness in a region was for primary schools pupils common entrance cut off mark. My brother I am also from the north east, that idea doesnt hold water in this system. All you can do is pray.

You are talking about Airmen and those invited got their SMS by the first week of April,screening Is almost over. We here are discussing DSSC which hasn't started yet.

From present reality,d local govt officers are nt attaching dia passport & NT giving out dia driver's license. Can any1 confirm frm d airmen/women if it was accepted. Less than 2wks 2 right any wrong! House wat do u think?

People shouldn't dwell on this so much but in 2013 ( for me in Kaduna) I wasn't asked for my letters but my docs were checked, can't say for other people or centers. Who was there 2013 that can tell others what happened at his or her center? I guess it was coz of the crowd and to save time but we can't bank on that.

4 to 5 days before the Zonal enlistment commences. So let's say around 26th/27th which is next week.

Also if you have a result to a professional exam but without the certificate because induction hasn't taken place.
Do you know if it would be accepted if you tender the result?

In my case I've got the result to my PCM-NIM but haven't done the induction. Hence the reason for my question.

The truth is if you don't have a cert you won't be seen as a member, it's your cert that says you are. Remember you should have a membership number that the body recogizes you with and you know in these days of forgery they may think the result may not be genuine. Since the selection board where proper screening is done is still weeks away. Check if there is an induction ceremony before then and go for it.

Please, I need to know if our FSLC will be required for screening on the screening date. So sad I don't have my primary school certificate. Finished primary school in class 5 and didn't collect the certificate. Also the school has closed down. I wonder if I can do affidavit for this. Any ideas, please share

You 'may' not be asked for it at this stage but you need to present something at the selection board so if you want to get an affidavit or go to the educational board in the state where your school is situated pls do so fast. Nobody wants to stop at the zonal stage.

I've wanted to ask this question; For the purpose of the zonal enlistment screening, do they put the weight of the applicants into consideration? I understand that the applicant's height is vital but could an applicant who is carrying a few extra pounds be at disadvantage?

I'm concerned cos ive added some weight in the past few months. Going by my BMI, I'm about 10kg over weight, though when you see me, it isn't very obvious cos I've got broad shoulders. But still I'm concerned.

weight is important but not as much as height as I have heard, And I hear for them it is better to be underweight than overweight ,however don't panick,on rear occasions do I hear people stress on it so seems emphasis are not laid on it so much. But do exercise and cut back on stuff, in a month you will see a difference.

google will have samples, search attestation of good character and you will find a sea of them, you can compose yours from there.

Sorry bro, but what does the bolded mean? I thought the signee officer is to stamp and sign at the back of the two passports and that's it?

What does it mean that we have to counter sign?

Like someone said the other day, To countersign is to sign what someone had previously signed. So far NAF has made us understand that the officer that signs your LGA form is one but we were not told who else is to sign, we assumed it is you the applicant. However it could be a wrong choice of language.

Good morning, the 2 passports to be the signed and stamped are that of the applicant. However the officer signing is to attach one of his/her own passport photograph to the attestation form also, you're welcome.

since you wrote in Lag if you can, go there. Their HQ is there so it probably won't take time. if you apply for the cert from another state they will have to send your application to lag and you can't get it in less than 5 months

You left secondary years ago and for sure your cert has been ready, try and get it coz if you escape being questioned at the zonal enlistment it won't go unnoticed at the selection board . Unless there is more to it.

Fellow Nairalander's kindly assist me on this NAF DSSC recruitment, i submitted my form online without printing the summary page and the system log me out, i did not print any of the consent forms, worst of all is that i did not take note of my Applicant ID before it all went off. now is asking me to supply Applicant ID and e-mail Please what do i do now its very urgent please advise. Thanks

You had better go and apply, just upload the docs you have. The thing is you will be able to physically present it at the Zonal enlistment in May.

You can present the affidavit with a photocopy of the certificate.

It's up to you, it's not something you will keep seperate from your other docs, just ensure it is neat while presenting it. Preferably not folded ,folding has a way of making papers seem rough.

You will not know the date until the Zonal enlistment starts or the time table is posted on the site like what they did for airmen.

If you read the instructions on the site you will notice 'a magistrate' was mentioned however it is not on the form, in that case it is not our fault, a magistrate is good go cuz they put it there.

In my opinion it is not a problem, as they said parents and guardians are the ones who can't sign and he is neither.Or is he your guardian?

To COUNTESIGN means to sign a document that has already been signed by another person, especially in order to show that it is valid...... Does it mean that we (the Applicant) should also sign on our 2 passports before the SIGNEE signs and stamps on it too?? Pls mimzy or any who knows best....respond

I honestly don't know, as they didn't mention that anyone else should sign. Once you can get it stamped and signed the major work has been done, if the applicant is meant to sign that one is minor as we can do so at the venue. Or was it an error in the choice of word used? Don't know
