do they give on merit,´because i apply but i didnot go for the clearance due to some of my experience in federal government job and is there a day set for dose that miss the screening, just in case i change my mind. Thanks dear
What I can tell you is over time we have heard merit Is less than or there about 5 %, we don't know what this year will bring. A decision to go for the screening or let it slide is solely up to you, no one ever gets somewhere without taking a chance.
Make up screening differs by center, you will have to contact someone from you center either on this thread or elsewhere to get the right info.

Babe, are you saying the next stage will be invitation to KD for the 6 months training where the aforementioned will take place.
Please reply my quote. You have never replied my quotes
The training is not the next stage, selection board first.

Ok I see. Thanks for the heads up. I definitely need to register at the gym so I get my fitness level up. I'm a bit over weight but I think I'll be up for the 3.2.

Any ideas on when candidates may be called up to KD?
I will say it for the last time. In Kaduna yesterday they were told to watch out for it in 2 weeks, it may seem unreal or to fast but for certain reasons I believe it's true.
For the gentleman asking how long the selection board lasts, it takes about 10-12 days depending on the number of people invited, I'm going by how it was in 2013

yrmybank:
Babe, when you said serious preparations, what exactly do you mean?

And what's a 3.2?
The 3.2 is the kilometers those who pass the medical test with a clean slate will get to run. By serious preparations I mean ensuring you are medically sound before heading to KD, refresh your memory coz there will be an exam there. Start running so your body gets used to it before you get there especially if you are not an active person ,get all your forms signed and intact, your certificates should be complete and most importantly pray hard.

You see the computer screens using fields already programmed into the system, the ones you lick and so many options are displayed, date of birth, class of degree, height etc but fields where you have to type it doesn't work with. Eg we had to type in our course but choose speciality from what they already put on the site, that's why even with your course not being listed your name will appear on the list.

IF I AM WRONG, WHY DO SOME PEOPLE STILL GO THERE WITH THEIR OVER AGED.....35+… AND STILL GET NQ.OR Q...their name shouldnt av been in the master list.as reported in this thread. specialists wil b given considerations.....i think
Did you see the age they selected while registering? I hope you know it is the field filled during the application and not the cert uploaded that qualifies people. A person can claim 27 while filling the form and hoping to scale the screening with the cert he or she has. The computer will accept 27 but at the screening the officer will know the real age from that cert. As for those who get a Q they definitely didn't present a cert with their real age, and how would one know, all you can do is judge from their looks, you can't tell what they gave the officer. The officer will work with only the age on paper even if he thinks you are 50

That is why i told them in this forum,..that there is different btw should be and must be.......should is a recommendation , may or may not be obeyed. why must is a compulsion...it must b obeyed....how can u expect specialists to b btw age 22 n 35...ABBA!!
Did you Notice how NA put it in their advert? They stated that medical consultants age limit was 40 and this is because they know how unreal it will be to find a 24-35 year old medical consultant, but for MBBS it was still 35.if they want people they know should be older due to experience or duration of study in a particular field thereby being older than the stipulated they will specify. All those older people you see go in with declaration of age stating they are within the age limit they don't present what shows they are 38 or something when 35 is boldly written. There will always be a clause if such a room is given, anyway you will get to understand.

hello ma, what does the next stage involves and when is it coming Up?
My dear like I said, yesterday I was told some people in KD were told to check the site by the next 2 weeks or there about. I was not surprised because I had heard that before, the plan is for training to start in July. The next stage involves, screening of credentials , medical screening, exam, the 3.2 km race and an interview session with the selection board chairman and members.

Hello pls..if the officer type ur APPLICANT ID and your name is on the d database...those it mean u are shortlisted by them...because some people couldnt found their names.. n yet they are with their print-out
Everyone upon application has a number and will have a print out. If yout name isn't on their list it's because after the application process some things were check and such a person was found lacking somewhere, which may even be by error.
Meanwhile I someone who got screened in kaduna yesterday told me it was mentioned that the next list should be expected in about 2 weeks, this makes sense coz they would need to speed things up if they want to make the July training a reality.

The arrangement pattern of this hierarchy should be from the lowest rank to the highest rank up (from Ground to TOp). A pilot cannot be on top of "the Marshal of the the Nig Air Force" incase of next time. A Pilot Officer is always the least commissioned officer for senior MEN CADRE. Pls take note.
Not necessarily, you could be asked to list them in ascending or desending order. What he did is actually lowest to highest, you won't expect him to start from the bottom of the page writing or typing upwards to get the Marshal of the Air Force up there. He can only achieve that if the starts from highest to lowest on paper.

i am saying this because all the requirement carries must..except the age tins.... should be from finding via google says should is not a requirement...buh a recommendation.....
don't go near that with age at all, that is why you see people going to reduce and get declaration of age. That's the reason some people were not shortlisted for this stage, whether by mistake or it was their real age. As long as it wasn't what they advertised it disqualified them.

My brother, there are instances you can use this exact thing you said but for other stuff eg this NAF process, it won't fly as an advice. You can't tell them it was an advice to be 25-30 but not compulsory.

In my opinion yes, though 'must' may seen as more rigid, 'should' is equally an order. If it were 'may be' i would have said there is a level of uncertainty there.

hello ma, please can you please tell me how I'm to get the letter of attestation of good conduct, please, I have just tomorrow to get it...
According to the site you are to get it from any of those listed on the site who can sign your LGA Attestation. The person who signed that of the LGA for you can give you an attestation of good character too . But before you panic ask those from your center if they were asked to present it, most centers didnt demand it.

what time is the screening do start in Kaduna. Any idea about final intake by state, from previous experience
Going by 2013, selection board happened the following month after the zonal enlistment and out of 25 invited per state for the Selection board, 8 were enlisted, 4 per batch per state.

Bro I have thought about this as well and from my a rationalization, I have come to accept that despite the fact that more than 90% of us will probably make the basic requirements at the zonal enlistment stage, this will probably the end of the road for at about 80% of all applicants.

Not all of us will face the Selection Board. However, for the metrics for the selection of those who will face the SB, your guess is as good as mine.

Mimzy007, what's your take on this?
I must say I agree with you, this is the end of the road for majority. About 25 were called per state for selection board in 2013, if they call 30 this time in the name of intake increase it would be a miracle .

Hello mimzy,

Thanks for all the info. God bless you real good... But please, what specific tests should we be examined for from the blood and urine samples? I'm asking so as to know what to tell them at the diagnostic centre. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Thanks
Hi, they do that to check for, any form type Hepatitis, Kidney function, STI's, HIV, blood sugar, pregnancy for ladies, and a bunch of other things we might not know about.

Hi mimzy007 , for all the help, pls my screening centre is @ kaduna and i'll be very greatful if u can answer some of my questions... does my beards disqualify me @ th stage, I don't ve my LG attestation form signed yet does it affect me in any way?, Ogun is supposed to be screened on Saturday, a they still following d time table? Pls help me... my num is 08121885893 just a flash will do nd I promise not to be a pest....pls
you won't be disqualified coz of beards but if it is something full or noticeable you will get an ear full from those in charge if they notice you. Forms were not checked at this stage, just your acknowledgement card and certs. An officer said we should call people and tell them the time table isn't working, that was yesterday.

please for those of us that made mistakes while filling the form like wrong height and age and even course of study abeg any hope for us?
Can't say how much hope but those are errors that could cause your name to not be on the list. However in kaduna those who could not find their names on the list were put in a queue to see what could be done, if your center follows the same process you will get to explain it to them . And if you are even more lucky your name will be on the list.

Meaning they won't take anyone with Flat foot even if you are shortlisted for th selection board at kaduna?
Yes. Once they check and conclude it's a flat foot you will fail the medical process except by some miracle they say it's not. A friend was almost screened out for it in 2013 but another medical personnel superior to the first guy who examined him called him back for a second opinion and checked and said it wasn't.

Please like how many minutes do they spend on each applicant to complete the full screening?
if you are sitted opposite the screening officer it will take 4-5 mins ( using mine) but for the sitting on the floor while on the queue it depends on alot, the number of candidates from your state , how early you get there, the format used in your center to call on candidates etc.

please can you help me to confirm this from kaduna center, that de have switched from screening state by state to calling of names alphabetically
I can't say they have switched to calling names alphabetically It won't work. (by calling names alphabetically do you mean for candidates?) The only thing I saw happen individually today was when your state is called, they arrange you by LGA Alphabetically. What i heard an officer say to the crowd was "call your village people o, tell them the time table is not longer working".

Are these steps right?

1. Certificate Screening at our centers
2. Aptitude test and medical tests in kaduna (when do we expect that and how are we to be informed?)
3. wait for the selection board list
4. List comes out, we go for interview
5. We wait for the final list
6. List comes out and we start training

I just want to get everything in perspective.
Thanks.
You see the only difference from previous years is the issue of no exam at this stage. What someone who was screen yesterday told me was that the officer who addressed them in kaduna said the exam will be conducted at the selection board which is not a new thing, meaning instead of sitting for the exam twice (zonal enlistment and selection board) it will be conducted just once. Which makes sense because it would be totally stressful and uncalled for to tell everyone who qualified at this stage to come all the way to Kaduna from various corners of the country just for an exam only for some to return again for the selection board.
When they said exam and medicals at kaduna, that is exactly what happens at the selection board. So from what I understand it's,
1. Zonal enlistment
2. Selection board invite
3. Selection board ( where the exam, medical test, interview etc will hold)
4.final list
5. Training.
Let's see how it Goes.
