Good day, i graduated with a 3rd class in B.sc sociology. Though av registered l, just wanna seek opinion thank
Nobody's opinion really matters at this point, you have seen the guidelines and you know a 3rd class is not what they require. Its best you dont dwell on it or get your hopes up, just watch and see how it goes.

This is what is on the site ' Attestation Forms:
Applicant's attestation form must be signed by a military officer from the same state as the applicant and not below the rank of Squadron Leader or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy, and Police Officer of the rank of Assistant CP and above. Local Governments Chairmen/Secretaries, magistrates and principals of government Secondary Schools from applicants' state of origin can also sign the attestation forms. The signees passport photograph and either photocopy of drivers licence or international passport must be attached. In addition, applicants are to bring with them a letter of attestation of good character from any of the officers above to the Zonal Enlistment Centers and final selection interview'. From the options given find any person from your state who falls in that category to issue you an Attestation of Good character, prominent or not he or she must be one of the listed persons above.

Good day; please how do I address the letter of attestation of good character as in who should it be addressed to. Thanks in anticipation of your vital response.
In 2013 there were several, some were addressed to the commandant of the base, some to the officer in charge of the recruitment exercise and others just simply went with ' To whom it may concern'. I personally think addresgsing it to the officer in charge is better. The thing is this, that letter will eventually go with you to the selection board so addressing it to the commandant of the base you have your ZE will make no sense but if addressed to the officer in charge who could be anybody anywhere you are covered.

i just realized that i made a mistake in my height, could that disqualify me?
What's done is done unless there is a way to edit it which no one has done so far after submitting , you will just have to let it go and hope for the best. An officer told me at this point the computer automatically selects people who will attend the Zonal enlistment based of info given, I can't say. Don't beat yourself up about it.

bxboss, some people did that in 2013 but I can't tell you if it was accepted. The signing is proving to be a challenge for alot of people however don't be in a haste to go to the liasion office just yet, ask around some friends who may not even be from your state may be able to link you up, you can't tell except you try. unless time is running out and you have no option I won't advice you go there, you can also contact anyone who can help you back in Abia if it's possible, you can email your forms so they can print and try helping you over there while you try on your end.

Please house is it neccesary that the attestation should be sign by active force men, because my signee s a retired Colonel and also for the enlistment test do one have to shave off your bears for those that have it....God Bless
The retired were not mentioned as an option on the site or on the printed form, try as much as you can to stick to what they require, it is for your own good. At this point you don't need to shave unless you have so much beard that will pull unwanted attention at the zonal enlistment, keep it modest.

Hello guys
My LG attestation form was signed by my LG chairman who also is a retired Navy Capt with the official stamp, but he didn't put any passport, I hope it isn't an issue @mimzy007
That passport photograph is compulsory, try and get it please in addition to the photocopy of his international passport or drivers license.

collins777:
I take exception to your sentiment. Although only photocopy of international passport or driver's license is mentioned, it is not forbidden if your signee can provide a photocopy of any other generally acceptable card like National ID card. National ID card has the same recognition with driver's license or international passport since they are all issued by the same authority (Federal Government of Nigeria). That National ID card is not included does not mean they don't accept it, its omission was a mere oversight because there is no rationale for accepting driver's license while National ID card is rejected. Thanks.
OK then

I have signed all my forms by one of the attesting officers stated. The only 'but' I have is that my signee gave me photocopy of his National ID instead of one of the two stated identification in the advert (Driver's licence or Int'l passport). My question is will this National ID card be acceptable at the recruitment exercise?
Go back and get one of the 2 listed because the National ID is not what they demanded, They won't accept it.

A friend told me his friend who had terrible eye sight made it in 2013 and trained with batch B, though we cant say the circumstances surrounding his case. The eye test at the selection board should tell how bad it is, unless it's that bad you should relax. You can't train with glass on though.

Miss, who would u recommend I use? Cos my local govt chairman is sating that he wouldn't fill the attestation form except I produce a letter of good conduct issued by a court. I'm kinda confused right now
No need for recommendations, NAF has given you a list of people. you have the option of a magistrate, a principal, officers of the NAF, NA or NN, ( not below the rank of Squadron leader, Major or lieutenant commander), assistant Police commissioner from your state. Try reaching people who fall under this category and see how it goes, ask friends who may know someone, time is on your side so no need to panic.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by mimzy007(f): 10:39am On Mar 15, 2016
Whoever told you 'only' the court can issue you an attestation of good character letter has missed it. If the Air Force asked you to get it from the persons listed it is because they know it can be gotten and that is what they will accept, otherwise they would tell you to head to court. This is not the first time NAF is asking for that letter and people who were successful the last time got it from several people.

what you need to do is zero your mind and make peace with yourself, what you are applying for is tedious and may seem inhumane to you but others have done it successfully. If you truly want it your body must suffer, coz you will be subjected to all sorts.

Please my fellow flying officers, I have a little problem :my local government attestation was signed by the director of my state liaison office not giving me her passport and neither her intl passport or drivers license to photocopy and she refused to write letter of attestation of good character for me owing to the fact that she dont really know me.. .. Now my question is, can I look for any dignitary (who somewhat knows me at least) to write letter of attestation of good character for me irrespective of the state because its only someone who knows you that that can attest good character for u. please i nid ur opinions
Find someone who can give you all you need for the LG attestation, coz that lady's own is invalid without the passport and photocopy. As for finding someone to give you a letter of attestation, if you get it from a person who hails from a different state pls know it is at your own peril. You never can tell when he or she will be called to confirm certain details, think wise.

Hi mimzy, please in summary....what stages were involved in your training? Also, the body examination for piercings, scars e.t.c, are we to be in birthday suit or just top strip? smiley
My training is yet to commence cheesy. For the zonal enlistment it was just to underwear level however know that at the selection board it will be a birthday suit thing.

what if u have a surgery scar?
From what I was told the concern is the healing. they will check it properly to ensure its totally healed and won't bring about complications if selected for training

@ mimzy007 Pls is it that the whole candidates will b going to the screening centre everyday or a day will b scheduled for different state.
Usually on the first day some info about the process will be passed. They will schedule days of screening for states so you get to know which day your state will be screened, instead of stressing yourself to come everyday and eventually they will announce the exam day so everyone comes back to write on that day.

So they screen off people with tattoos huh?
My dear I can't tell you if that was the major reason some people were screened out but it was checked for sure. The military (naija) never appreciates tattoos, even strange body marks are a concern.

Anthney87 spaco001 mimzy007 I heard from a whatsapp group that they will ask us to pull off our shirts to examine our chests at the exam venue ... please how true is that?
Yes, in 2013 we were stripped at the zonal enlistment stage to check for body marks. Tattoos and surgery scars.

thanks Bro, u welcome, I have my primary in surgery, about starting my residency program as a supranumerary (or might get a direct entry), so thinking if I can start, get my residency placement, then if eventually I get the DSSC, can I defer my starting till I finish my residency Program? Because if I pull out, my primary will expire on me..... is there anyway they can consider Me? On my Request?
You can't differ anything, if you don't show up they will replace you to get in you would have to start the process all over again with another course.
