yes, by the last week of April.

People are going about signing because by the time you get invited for the Zonal enlistment what you should be worried about is probably travelling to your center if you fall in that category. Getting the invitation SMS less than a week to the process doesnt leave much time for Those who decide to wait for it before signing. Going by 2013 99% will participate in the first exercise, unless they have changed strategy.

Go ahead. I heard POP will be in April, meaning you will have your NYSC cert before the zonal enlistment begins.

Hmm.. Im afraid you have applied wrongly, the Airmen/Airwomen application process ended on the 25th.
To those who wish to apply for the DSSC and are busy observing here instead of heading to the site, it's OK to take your time to register but it is also OK to finish up in time and concentrate on other things. Believe it or not some people still don't know the process is on, if you know people who would be interested in joining trying spreading the word just in case they havent heard. There isnt much time left.

That's not what is on their site, most people assume commission as it is so with DSSC. Unfortunately the site is down for now, anyway that one is minor.

If you don't want to keep wondering what the outcome will be, get all they required. Better safe than sorry.

When you talk of SSC its strictly for the army, they are the only arm of the Tri service that has both options for graduates to join,DSSC and SSC ( short Service combatant) and both application processes usually start and end at the same time when the army is ready.

my question is people that signed there attestation forms at liaison office who were neither given the officers passport goto and copies of drivers license / Intl passport.... what happens to them....

When you go for the Zonal enlistment if they have your time they will ask you why you decided not to present what you were asked to, however most won't bother and you will assume you have gotten away with it meanwhile just as they put in writing the details of your documents they will also put down what you don't have or didn't present.

I stated earlier on that in the past people have either addressed it to the commandant of the base, the officer in charge of the enlistment, and some people just went with a 'To whom it may concern '. I would rather go with that of the officer in charge.
You don't need the signee to be from your LGA, just same state. Your LGA indiegiene cert is OK.
As a Lawyer you should know if the letter for being called to Bar is different from membership, if it is automatic as you have received that letter then you are good to go. Find out from fellow lawyers if your are not sure.

cause I studied Electrical engineering and I don't know how to go about the registration with my engineering body .

Wildone, I have had mine since 2004. It is usually issued at your LGA secretariat or the state secretariat. Some state liaison offices issue them too.

Go back to the site, Right where the DSSC advert is and click on download consent forms. Give the details it asks for and you will find links to your forms in there.

Yes, the principal of a Govt school. You can go back to the site and read the he requirments again just to be sure.

Am nt saying that u will not scale thru but if u fully depend on those stars*, my brother my sister u fit faint oh when ur name no come out. Just use the highest persons* at ur disposal and PRAY! Like I said, the ball in your court. I don't know how far they went after the zonal enlistment stage.

The last time Some people said at their centres they weren't asked, other said they were asked, however it is our prayer to make it to the selection board and you can't escape it when that time comes. Try to get it, you will need it for something someday either way.

Unless your signee can be contacted at anytime it's best you get it signed before hand. You may not get a SMS inviting you for the zonal enlistment until some days before which might be too short a time for you to get all you need in order. It's Your call.

@ mimzy007 u mean they considered accounting graduate in 2013? & also do u think DSSC 25 will start training before d end of d year?

I mean they were allowed to participate in the zonal enlistment even though their field of discipline wasn't listed, what happened after that, i can't say. As for training this year, rumour has it that it will start this year, we should learn to take everything we hear with a pinch of salt as things are always subject to change.

Also, my local govt chairman signed my attestation form, he stamped it and affixed his passport photograph to it. He equally directed his secretary to write a letter of good character for me and he stamped and signed it. However, he refused to give his international passport data page or drivers license, he said those docs are too private for him to release. How fatal will that omission be in my application?

Gentleman I don't know so you can't say I have chosen to ignore you, I reply based on what I get to read and move out. That being said, you see these people know why they said you should get the international passport or drivers license photocopy. They know it is indeed sensitive as against other mode of ldentification that is easier to get and may be acceptable elsewhere and not everyone will release it to you except people who know you or hold you in high esteem and with the listed category they have limited alot of people. Try your best to get it or find an alternative signee, yes it is not easy but you wouldn't want to be the author of your own problems if they stand their ground in the end coz you didn't present it.

Amen! Indeed it we are to present our NYSC discharge certs or exemption letters as the case may be, it was clearly stated as a requirement. This application is for those who have completed service or were exempted. Except you will be passing out before The first week of May and therefore should have your cert in hand, you will have an issue for not presenting one.

AbuAbdullah, Application is not the problem my brother, it is forging ahead after the application that is the major concern. I have said it here before, there is no harm in trying but keep an open mind and don't dwell on it. Nobody can tell you 100% how it will end.

In 2013 from what I observed people were screened out before the Zonal enlistment based on class of degree, height, age and believe it or not some people clicked 'yes' at the health issues question etc, mistakenly I believe. However discipline was not affected because I remember Accounting was not listed yet those who studied it still got a chance to participate at that stage.

There is nothing wrong with black and white, as long as the print is clear, however I advice people just go for the coloured because your passport photo is usually better with colour.

Tomsy ask yourself this question, if I get another job (leave the schooling out) at the same time with NAF would I rather wake up everyday, calmly go to my office ,close at a particular time and have most things under my control or would I rather be running several kms,standing at the parade ground for hours, spending days in the bushes doing only God knows what? Without lying to yourself you know what you would prefer. You may not be a physical person but news Flash, its all in the mind. People who thought they weren't physical have gone in and done well. The training is rigours indeed but it all depends on how much you want it, a determine mind can achieve alot. I for one even as a female has zeroed my mind on whatever it is I find there I will take is as I see it coz it is what I want. You can go for your MSc later on but getting to the final list doesn't happen everyday and it's good you have options. I pray you still have time to choose by the time the Selection board list or final list is out. However it will be a setback to not go for your MSc and lose out on the final list as well, if you have to start the MSc before then, do that and see what NAF has to offer. When the time comes you will know what to do.

From what I understand, apart from the passport photograph of your signee which he or she will attach to your Attestation form, you will give the signee 2 of your own recent passport photographs to sign and stamp.
