Some politicians will never utter a word of condemnation over the heinious, atrocious, verulent and the mindless bloodletting activities of Boko Haram and banditary because of their perceived 2023 political misguided ambition. For instance, when will Tinubu be bold enough to ever condemn the unprovoked and the mindless killings of Nigerians by these terror gangs Or isn't those killed by these demons suppose to vote for him at the elections too If yes, then why has he never condemn their killers? |

Omooba77: MURIC Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
The Muslim Rights Concern has urged the Nigerian Government to declare the first of Muharram Hijrah, which is the first day in the Islamic calendar, as a public holiday to favour Muslims.
MURIC Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
Prof. Ishaq Akintola, Director of MURIC
According to Akintola, the New Year celebrations according to the Gregorian calendar was “unfair, unjust and undemocratic” to Muslims in Nigeria.
He stated that if the Nigerian Government failed to properly recognise the first day of the Muslim calendar as it has recognised the Christian calendar, it should stop declaring New Year holidays.
Akintola said, “As usual, the Federal Government declared January 1, 2022, a public holiday in recognition of the first day of the Christian Gregorian calendar but because the day fell on a Saturday, FG created an alternative by declaring the following Monday a public holiday.
“This is an aberration and a gross injustice because Nigerian Muslims have been demanding the declaration of the first day of the Islamic calendar as a holiday for more than 20 years to no avail.
“It simply means that FG under President Muhammadu Buhari is also supporting the Christianisation of Nigeria. It considers the first day of the Christian calendar as sacred while the first day of the Islamic calendar is regarded as unimportant.
“MURIC frowns at this lopsided arrangement. It is unfair, unjust and undemocratic. We demand an immediate review of FG’s holiday policy.
“We demand the declaration of the first day of the Islamic calendar as a holiday to justify the 1st January holiday that is declared annually by FG. January 1 holiday is a Christian colonial creation designed to dignify and rubber-cushion the pomp and pageantry of Christmas. In the interest of peace, FG should review this Christian colonial heritage.
“Nigeria became independent 62 years ago and 62 years is long enough to right wrongs perpetrated by the British slavemasters. Democracy is fraudulent without equal participation, equal rights and justice.
"We demand parity now and only the recognition of the first day of the Islamic new year can balance the equilibrium and ensure parity, justice and fair play.
“Holidays are part of the dividends of democracy. However, the dividends must not be dished out in a selective manner."

Politics › Re: Investigation: Air Force Officer In Baby Trafficking Scandal by Minime10(m): 3:44pm On Jan 08, 2022 |
Shehuyinka: Nnam Joy (Ginika) has failed in her bid to sell her newborn child.
She was lured into the baby-selling business by a Nigerian Air Force officer who leads a ring that has successfully trafficked many children.
The officer, Joy Kelvin, currently serves in Enugu State after her re-deployment from Abuja by the Nigerian Air Force.
Kelvin, a mother of five from Kaduna State, had lived at the Air Force Base in the nation’s capital before her transfer.
She alleged that the Social Welfare Department in Gombe State is the hub and most accessible place to buy children in Nigeria.
Kelvin has helped many people to buy children at the department; she told The ICIR.
She said the department does not take prospective buyers through questionings and other rigours of child buying and adoption.
How the Air Force officer lured Joy into child selling
Joy is a university dropout. She attended the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, and studied Mass Communication. After leaving the school over claims her family could not afford her tuition fees, she returned to her parents in Amagunze, Nkanu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The young mother said she had lived with a family in Anambra State as a salesgirl before the period. She worked with the family while she attended university.
She told our reporter that she had two boyfriends at Amagunze. Both slept with her, and neither took responsibility for the pregnancy.
In her attempt to abort the pregnancy, someone introduced her to the Air Force officer. The officer already had a waiting buyer for a child in Gombe.
The officer advised Joy to tell her parents she got a job in Abuja as a fuel attendant. The pregnancy was four months old then, and her parents did not know about it. The lady has eight siblings. None of them was aware of the pregnancy and her plan to leave Enugu for Abuja.
Joy came to Abuja in October 2021 and lived at the Nuwalege Village, behind the Air Force Base where the officer had lived while serving in Abuja.
She lived with the officer’s sister, whom neighbours claimed had sold her baby in 2020 and used the proceeds as part of the money to buy the house where she lives. The Air Force officer sold the house to her.
The host, identified as Godiya, works as a cook at the Air Force Comprehensive Girls Secondary School at the Air Force Base.
Joy was supposed to travel to Gombe in early January to put to bed, to enable the waiting buyer in the state to collect her baby. As her pregnancy scan shows, her Expected Date of Delivery (EDD) is January 24. But she gave birth on December 27.

Dec. 30, 2021
A US- based group has petitioned the Nigerian government to designate Buhari, Tinubu, El- Rufai, and others as terrorist sponsors.
It was claimed that Nigerian government officials were sponsoring terrorism by engaging in terrorist activities such as training, funding, financing, and recruiting terrorists using their offices as a safe haven.
Citing an interview with retired Naval Commodore Kunle Olawunmi that revealed facts that the Buhari- led APC government has failed to follow.
Also, recall that around September, the Biden administration attempted to assist Nigeria by revealing the true identities of the country' s terrorist sponsors.
GATE Petitions The U. S Government To Tag Buhari, Others Terrorist
The Global Advocates for Terrorism Eradication (GATE), a non- profit organisation headquartered in the United States, has petitioned the US government to designate President Muhammadu Buhari and several other Nigerian officials as terrorist sponsors.
The 26- page petition was signed by the group' s Principal Advocate, Robert Berry, and addressed to US Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken.
According to SaharaReporters, the group implored the US government to designate the Nigerian government as a state sponsor of terrorism, claiming that what is happening in Nigeria is state- sponsored terrorism based on all available indicators.
It was alleged that Nigerian government officials were funding terrorism by engaging in terrorist activities such as training, funding, financing, and recruiting terrorists, and that they were using their offices as a safe haven, transit, and operational base for terrorists and terrorist activities.
In the petition, GATE accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, Governor Nasir El- Rufai of Kaduna State, former Chief of Army Staff and present Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Tukur Buratai, and the Director General of State Services, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, of assisting terrorism in Nigeria.
GATE has also charged former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, and Ministers of Communications, Justice, and Information Isa Pantami, Abubakar Malami, and Lai Mohammed, among others, with terrorism.
It was claimed that, " the Nigerian government officials have deployed the instrumentality of power and are using the veil of sovereignty in knowingly consenting and with malicious intent allowing and promoting the use of Nigeria as a breeding ground and recruitment nursery for international terrorism activities contrary to foreign relations authorizations act fiscal years 1988 and 1989 (P. L. 100 to 204: 22 U. S. C 2656f), as amended. "
The group also gave the United States Government a two- month notice, warning that if the designation is not made by the end of the two months, GATE will proceed to the Federal Court in the United States to apply for a Writ of Mandamus to compel the United States Secretary of State to issue the designation in accordance with the provisions of law.
GATE argued that the US designating Nigerian officials as terrorist sponsors will have far- reaching legal ramifications, including the possibility of arrest and criminal prosecution in a Federal US court if they visit the country.
To bolster its case, the group cited an interview granted to Channels Television on August 24, 2021 with a former Deputy Director of Defense Intelligence Services of the Nigerian Military, Navy Commodore Kunle Olawunmi.
It claimed that, despite the interview' s revelations, the Nigerian government did nothing to address the issues raised.
U. S To Declare Terrorism Sponsors In Nigeria
Remember that the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard, declared in August, during a round- table discussion on US- Nigeria military cooperation with journalists in Abuja, that her country was keen to collaborate with Nigeria in identifying Boko Haram sponsors.
According to The Guardian, Dennis Amachree, a former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services, stated that the United States was eager to assist Nigeria, particularly in the fight against terrorism, but that the question was whether the Federal Government would accept the current show of support.
He stated:
" Are we ready to arrest and prosecute these sponsors when exposed? Are we simply going to lock them away as has been done in the past? These are the concerns and the Americans may lose interest if we don' t take it seriously.
" Nigeria will do well to accept the offer as the country is really at a crossroads and will accept any help she can get. The United States agreeing to support Nigeria means that they will come with some of their cutting- edge technology, which will boost the capability of Nigerian security agencies. "
Reactions To U. S Big Offer To Help End Terrorism In Nigeria
Rear Admiral Godwill Siempre Ombo, a former Naval Chief, simply stated:
" These are sensitive issues. Who truly wants to end problems in his or her life if he or she will not accept any help to do so? "
According to Prof. Bola Akinterinwa, former Director- General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), if the Nigerian government is concerned about putting an end to Boko Haram, the government should see it as an opportunity to grab.
He continued, saying:
" I remember that in 2020, either in July or August, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, accused the International community, particularly the big powers, that they were blocking all Nigerian efforts to deal with the Boko Haram group.
According to the ex- DG, when Lai Mohammed made the statement at the time, he was accusing the US, the big powers, and their allies of being responsible for the Nigerian government' s inability to contain the Boko Haram insurgency.
" In essence, what I' m saying is that the Nigerian government wanted assistance, but it was allegedly blocked. " " It is only logical to accept now that the United States is offering the option of de- blocking, " he said.

Biodun556: https://leadership.ng/nigerians-wont-replace-us-with-bra-buying-government-apc/ Leadership News - Nigeria News, Breaking News, Politics and more Nigerians Won’t Replace Us With Bra-buying Government – APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday said Nigerians will not replace it in 2023 with a government whose members would take the nation’s resources on a bra-buying spree.
National secretary of the caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee (CECPC) of the governing party, Sen John James Akpanudoedehe, who stated the party’s position was making a direct reference to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) whose new national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, said recently that APC will cease to exist by April 2022.
Akpanudoedehe who stated this at the APC national secretariat while receiving state chairmen of the party who were on a solidarity visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni-led caretaker noted that Ayu’s pronouncements shall “come to nothing.”
He said, “I learnt that the new PDP chairman made a prophecy that we will scatter before April. I replied by saying that the Bible says ‘take counsel together; it shall come to nothing.’ Speak the word; it will not stand. Rather, we will be stronger and stronger. Let me send a message to PDP. If we are talking about replacing APC, it can never be you because Nigerians are too intelligent.
“Nigerians will still choose APC. Talk is cheap; even when you sponsor crises throughout Nigeria, we won all our by-elections. We inherited insurgency and we have dealt with it. As we speak, not one inch of Nigeria’s territory is being taken over by any group. That is why they have turned themselves to criminals. When PDP was in government, they took over everywhere but today, it is different.
“Maybe because the President is not the talking type; I am challenging anyone to show me any social intervention programme better than this government. People are collecting alerts for COVID-19 palliatives. Youths, women, and civil servants are collecting it.
“If you have a minister who served under that government and the Minister bought a Brassier worth 1 million, we cannot replace APC with a Brassier government. We just got information that another account has been discovered.” Whoever that wrote this nonsense is fundamentally sick in the head. He said no territory has been taken by bandits and Boko Haram, but the Niger State Governor, a senior member of his party the APC is never relenting in letting the world know that, so many local government in the state are under the control of terrorists. In Adamawa and Zamfara for instance, terrorists imposed and collect levies from communities. Akpan-udo edehe or whatever is name called is a useful (idiot) nicompu, who has lost complete touch with current realities, he is slumbering & snoring, when the day has gone far spent. If senator akpanudo edehe is any serious, I dare him to take a trip just from Abuja to Kano on the road, and then perhaps another unreasonable person may want to pay attention to his senseless blabbings. If someone in APC ever say and acknowledge the truth the way it is, will they DIE As for Nigerians and the killing APC, the beautiful choice is solely theirs. They have every rights to vote APC in 2023 and then continue to suffer and be kill like birds. |

sinkhole: Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President on Monday bemoaned the low salaries and emoluments of Federal lawmakers while making clarifications on allowances accrued.
Lawan made this disclosure in a paper presented at the first Distinguished Parliamentarians Lecture Series organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in Abuja.
This was against the backdrop of secrecy on how much Nigerian lawmakers in the upper and lower legislative Chambers earn.
According to the Senate President, the monthly salary of a Senator was N1.5 million, while that of a member of House of Representatives was N1.3 million.
He further noted that the N13 million earlier argued in the public space a few years ago as the monthly salary of a Senator was the quarterly office running allowance.
“The total salary of a member of the Senate is about N1.5 million and that of the House of Representatives is about N1.3 million.
"The quarterly office allowance for legislators is what was erroneously conflated with a monthly income to create confusion and mislead the Nigerian people.
“The average office running cost for a senator is about N13 million while that of a member of the House of Representatives is N8 million”, he said.
Arithmetically, N13 million office running cost for a Senator amounts to N52 million a year while the N8 million for a member of the House of Representatives amounts to N32 million in a year.
But the President of the Senate said N13 million and N8 million quarterly office running cost for a member of the Senate and House of Representatives respectively, were the lowest of any presidential democracy in the world.
