Isah Ahmed, popularly known as Ordinary President has revealed that over 200 orphans have graduated from universities and other tertiary institutions thanks to the scholarship given to them by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Ahmed noted that Prof. Osinbajo does a lot behind the scene, adding that he is not a man that likes to blow his own trumpet.
The anchor of Berekete Family said this on March 8 during the birthday celebration for the Vice President who turned 65.
He also stated that hundreds of orphans are currently benefiting from the generosity of the Vice President. The Ordinary Ahmed started the programme by asking his audience how many people know that today we are celebrating someone’s birthday?
But when his puzzled audience could not figure it out, he added, this person, we can’t count how many women and children he has helped in positive ways. “His position as never pushed him to misbehave to anybody, he is humble so is his wife and children and we have never heard anything controversial about him and his family.
He then challenged the audience that anyone who gets the answer will be given N50,000.
“Who is this man? Anybody that can get the name of this man right will be given 50,000 thousand naira only.
“Let me give you a clue of how the man looks, he’s not tall or short, he’s chocolate in completion, he’s not thick nor slim and he doesn’t talk too much because of his humility. He doesn’t get angry to the extent that anger will show on his face, he’s a man that connects with the masses without having it on radio or television, the man does more off camera/press than he does publicly, he’s a man that more than 200 orphans has graduated from various universities and other tertiary institutions under his scholarship, presently, he has over 500 vulnerable children under his scholarship as well.
This man, if he wants to empower women, he immediately gives you the capital and he will beg you not to mention it to anyone, he’s supposed to have security men following him around but you will see him in a simple outfit without people following him around.
At this point, a lady named Mercy Zilla answered the question and said it is Professor Yemi Osinbajo the Vice President of the Republic of Nigeria. Immediately the Ordinary Ahmed gave her the N50,000 as promised.
He stated further that some people that have connected with what the VP is doing came together to thank God on behalf of the Vice President for leading him this far, for protecting him and for guiding him, they came together and said they want to show love even though the VP is not aware of this.
Ordinary Ahmed then went memory lane. “You can imagine when that helicopter crashed everybody thought that was the end for the VP? How many people have survived such crash? Those that have survived it in the past are not physically complete again but our own VP came out alive, during that time when that incident occurred; the VP was on a 40-day dry fast, now tell me do you think God will forsake such a person?
If a poor man is holy and religious, I always have my doubt about them, if you want to know the true character of a man- let the man be comfortable.
“But when you see a successful man being religious then you will know this is a true man of God, in all ramifications, the Vice President is successful. Career wise he is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a pastor, a loving husband, a caring father, the man that the cabals cannot pull down; our God will continue to disgrace them, they know us, we know them too and they're listening to us right now, their power will finish and cabals will turn to calabash and may God almighty guide us right,” he said.
Just 500 and u are here making noise, do u know how thousands Rochas Okoracha has trained both in Nigeria and abroad I'm not a fan of Rochas but u see, it is not everything someone does that bring to public domain for some cheap political point. So tell your boss that president is not won on the basis of the aclaim 500 orphans you sent to school otherwise, Rochas should have been the best option in that regard.
odoemelamemmanu: I am appealing to the various caucuses of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, to unite and harmonize for the overall interest of all.
It is imperative that we put the interest of our great party ahead of our individual interests for the good of Nigerians even after the 2023 general elections.
Therefore, I'm calling on those in charge of the party's leadership to carry every caucus along in the affairs of the party.
Selective leadership, nepotism, arrogance and disregard for the rule of law should be avoided to save our party.
The leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari as the leader of the party is Supreme. The Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Serving Governors, Former Governors, Serving and Ex- Ministers, Serving and Former members of National Assembly and other leaders of the party must rise to the occasion and defend the unity of the party.
Signed : Senator Orji Uzor Kalu Chief Whip of the Senate Former Governor, Abia State
Bifam30: The crisis bedeviling the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) may have started yielding negative effects on the party, as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected the nomination of Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State as the Chairman of Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the party.
According to an inside source, Governor Bello, upon resumption as Chairman of CECPC of APC, transmitted a letter dated 9th March, 2022, informing INEC of the change of guard at the party’s national secretariat.
Bello introduced himself in the said letter as Chairman while Processor Tahir Mamman was introduced as the acting Secretary of the party.
Both Governor Bello and Professor Mamman were said to have signed the letter.
The source also added that the letter served as notice to the commission, of APC’s CECPC decision to hold a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for next week Thursday, 17th March, 2022.
But, in a swift reaction, the Commission was said to have replied the letter on Thursday, 10th March, 2022, saying it was not aware of any change of guard in APC.
The document, according to a source at INEC, remains strange as there was no time the Commission was invited to observe or monitor any meeting where the changes took place, hence, the letter was rejected.
“Section 82(2-3) of the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended) makes it mandatory for all registered political parties in Nigeria to involve INEC in any meeting, congress or convention where elections or decisions to nominate executives or governing bodies of the party shall be taken.
“The same section also provided that, in a case of replacement of any vacant position in the party, INEC must be fully involved too”, the Source said.
The source further maintained that the Commission was not invited to any meeting or Congress where Mai Buni was removed as Chairman, and as such, could not deal with what was not legally constituted.
“The APC will be heading for an illegal NEC meeting by next week by the provision of the law. It is the duty of the Commission to properly guide the party, just as it will do to any of the opposition parties”, the Source added.

tommykiwi: Furious Vladimir Putin is said to have sacked eight top generals in anger over the slow pace of the Ukraine invasion.
Oleksiy Danilov, head of Ukraine’s security council, said eight Russian commanders have been fired since the start of the conflict amid heavy losses on the battlefield.
Putin is also said to be enraged with leaders of the FSB security service for handing him intelligence suggesting that Ukraine was weak, riddled with neo-Nazi groups, and would give up easily if attacked.
Philip Ingram, a former senior British intelligence officer, told The Times that Putin is obviously ‘very angry’ and is blaming his intelligence agencies.
‘He blames them for seeding him the advice that led to the poor decision-making in Ukraine,’ he said.
That poor decision making has led to Russia suffering much higher casualties than it expected in its attack, which has now been going on for two weeks.
Moscow anticipated little resistance when it sent in light forces backed by airstrikes to seize key targets during the opening days.
Danilov said Putin thought capital city Kyiv would fall within two to three days.
‘It hasn’t happened and never will,’ he said.
The security head said ‘desperate’ Moscow has ‘now switched to a different tactic’ by changing leadership.
‘They had about 8 generals removed from their posts because they did not complete the task,’ he told state TV.
‘Now new ones have been appointed. We clearly understand what is happening in the Russian Federation. I can say that they are desperate.’
Ukraine believes Russia has lost up to 12,000 men in a fortnight. European intelligence puts it lower – between 6,000 and 9,000 – and US lower still, at up to 3,000.
Whichever proves accurate, it is almost certainly more than Putin anticipated when he invaded his southern neighbour.
According to the latest intelligence assessment from the UK, a huge Russian convoy advancing towards Kyiv has made little progress in over a week and suffered heavy losses from the Ukrainian armed forces.
The Ministry of Defence also said there had been a decrease in Russian air activity, probably because it underestimated the effectiveness and endurance of Ukrainian air defence.
Una see una life ndi propagandists, 12,000 men 9,000 men 6,000 men 3,000 men Which one una wan make pipu take I sure say Ukraine no lost one single soldier since this war start. Like say the ones wey bandits and Boko Haram dey killed for here no be human beings
WATCHOVER: One thing most of you don't understand in warfare is your aim towards the war. Russia aim was to stop Ukraine from Joining NATO, and it has worked whether you loose generals in battle does not really matter what matters is your aim, how it is achieved, Nigeria Government fought the Civil War to stop the country from splitting and it worked, the government lost some good officers but it aim worked, Russia has demoralized Ukraine and they have succefully made United States look foolish before the world if you do not understand go check the blows United States got from negotiating with UAE, Saudi Arabia even Poland and Asia countries since this war started you will clearly understand that the United States has lost its reputation and Respect.
Don't mind them. If Nigeria could loose Generals to a ragtag group like Boko Haram and to bandits so why must it be a surprising thing that Russia has lost 8 generals in a war with Ukraine backed by over 32 plus Countries of the world. If truely Ukraine is winning this war, why then is the world crying over Ukraine?
Loveurneighbour: Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has alleged that the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni had perfected moves to create a crisis for the All Progressives Party, APC, ahead of the party’s March 26 national convention.
Akeredolu, who frowned at the role of Buni while he held sway as the APC’s Chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, stated that the Yobe State Governor had alongside few of his colleagues, whom he referred as ‘yahoo yahoo’ governors plotted to frustrate the convention from holding.
The governor in a statement he personally signed on Thursday, said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s and majority of the governors’ quick action to save the party from “internal scavengers” was a tremendous move in avoiding the party from falling off the cliff.
Abubakar Sani Bello, the Governor of Niger State, became the acting chairman of the party two days ago, following reports that the Buni-led CECPC was planning to sabotage the party’s next national convention.
While assuring Bello of the support of the majority of APC governors in organizing a successful national convention for the party, Akeredolu stated that despite the bungled efforts of those opposed to a hitch-free convention, the APC will remain great.
The statement partly read “We, the Governors are for the party except for the few “Yahoo, Yahoo” Governors (apologies to Salihu, former DG of the Progressive Governors’ Forum) who were hand in glove with Buni to circumvent the will of majority of our Party (APC) members.
“Progressive Governors in the true name, mostly all of us, are determined to see our Party through these patchy parts at all cost. None of the scanty number has the guts to carry out their imaginary threats as reported in sponsored stories. We dare them to leave the party.”
"Yahoo Yahoo Governors" more like it. That one got me
aguele: Barring any last-minute changes, about 10 million members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will welcome the Chairman, Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mla Buni, back to the party’s head office in Abuja on Monday.
The coordinator of the group said the recent hiccups in the party by some demonic elements were targeted at eliminating Gov Buni while on his hospital bed.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, convener, APC United Frontiers, Hon. Tope Musbau, said these elements resorted to blackmail and campaign of calumny to paint the governor in bad light before President Muhammadu Buhari when their initial plot failed.
According to Musbau, Buni has proven his pedigree, dedication and commitment to the growth of the party from his time as national secretary to this moment.
He said it is laughable that vested and compromised interests wanted to capitalise on his health-enforced trip to twist the party in their favour.
Musbau further described the APC leader as an upright man, a staunch disciple of President Buhari’s school of transparency, accountability and integrity.
“Everyone in Nigeria knows Buni’s pedigree as a forthright leader of the APC,” he said. “We are not surprised that evil forces who are scared of light want him out at all cost.
“Buni is too decent for the people leading this evil campaign against him. He will not fall for their antics as all they want is to rubbish Mr. President’s legacies”.
Musbau, therefore, promised that loyal party members will roll out the carpet in celebration when the Yobe Governor returns to duty.
He said millions of APC supporters across the 36 States will convene in the nation’s capital to welcome Governor Buni as he continues to lead the party to greatness.
“Our leader deserves a grand return and that’s what we have planned for him. We will sound the trumpets, hit the drums, sing and dance because what they planned for Governor Buni didn't materialise.
“He will be ushered back to his office by over 10m party faithful who truly knows his worth and value his quality leadership. No amount of propaganda can deter the CEPCC chairman.
“We are appealing to party stalwarts to converge in their numbers on Monday. Buni’s return is a victory for our party, victory for Nigeria and victory for democracy”.
10 million apc zombees to welcome buni back from medical tourism, how many million zombie go come remain to welcome Mr. Lifeless fc captain when he returns from his own medical jungetting Abi una no go welcome am
bennybuhari: Five governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led the coup against Governor Mai Mala Buni as the acting national chairman of the ruling party, Daily Independent exclusively gathered.
While giving a vivid account of what transpired, a member of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) from the Northern part of the country on Wednesday, said the five APC governors took advantage of the fact that Buni was receiving medical attention abroad to hatch his removal.
He gave the names of the five governors as Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger, who has since stepped into Buni’s position.
Others, according to him, are Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna; Muhammadu Badaru of Jigawa and Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.
While insisting that the coup against Buni has to do with the tussle for power in 2023, he added that President Muhammadu Buhari never approved of his removal but rather, the governors acted on their own.
“What happened was simply a coup against Buni led by five governors. What surprised us was the role played by the governor of Niger State who has since taken over Buni’s role while he is receiving treatment abroad.
Was Governor Sani Bello not a member of the CECPC? Was he not part of all the decisions we have been taking all along? “The truth is that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Fayemi, El-Rufai, Badaru Atiku Bagudu planned the coup against Buni.
These were the same people going about with the national chairman and severally passed votes of confidence in him. Why are they stabbing him in the back now when he is on the sickbed receiving medical attention abroad? “From what we have seen so far, they did what they did all because of 2023 presidency”.
Even though he said the anti- Buni governors informed the president of their actions, our source said Buhari never gave his consent.
“APC has hundreds of court cases in many of the states. These issues are what Buni is trying to resolve before the convention so that the outcome will not be nullified.
But these people went and lied against him before the president that he doesn’t want to conduct the convention.
“Buni is a patriotic fellow. He respects the president a lot. All what they said that the president approved his removal as APC chairman is false. Did they show any letter to that effect? They are just dropping the name of the president for selfish gains".
A NEC meeting was called in Aso Villa when Buni was appointed. If the president feels dissatisfied and wants him removed, the same process will be adopted”.
Also on Wednesday, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, the acting chairman of APC, inaugurated chairmen and secretaries of subcommittees for the March 26 national convention.
The chairman, who said the March 26 convention date is sacrosanct, explained the new panels are being reduced to a manageable size for effective delivery.
Addressing newsmen on Wednesday at the end of their meeting at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, the governor also announced that the number of some subcommittees for the convention had been trimmed. In the new list, the names of Governor Buni and John Akpanudoedehe were conspicuously missing from the Central Planning Committee of the convention.
In the list released on Wednesday, Governor Sani Bello, who has been presiding over the affairs of the party since Buni’s absence, is the chairman of the Central Planning Committee. Other members are Ken Nnamani, Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf, Akinyemi Jagaba, Prof. Tahir Mamman, David Lyon, Sen. Abba Alli, Stella Okotete, James Lalu and Ismaeel Ahmed. https://independent.ng/how-five-apc-governors-staged-coup-against-buni/
In all of these, where is the place of Dave Umahi and Ayade Abi is it true that governor pass governor? Some governors are nobodies in the committee of other governors

bennybuhari: The names of Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, former National Caretaker Chairman of the Convention Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and John Akpanudoedehe, the Secretary were conspicuously missing as the party releases names of members of the committee for the convention.
In the list released on Wednesday, Nigeria State Governor, Sani Bello, who has been presiding over the affairs of the party since Buni’s absence is the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee.
Other members are Ken Nnamani, Yusuf Abubakar, Prof. Tahir Mamman, David Lyon, Stella Okotete amongst others.
While Buni has been silent on his purported removal, Akpanudoedehe has insisted he remains the secretary, saying only President Muhammadu Buhari who appointed him can ask him to resign.
Next time u want to post this piece of gilbberish, try and address it to the apc zombies and stop dragging Nigerians into your foolhardiness okay! My one cent advice to u Park well with your lamentation stories Nigerians don't really care which side of the evil apc party you belong to. Just shift
blackpanda: The judgment is perverse. That's why there is appeal. The law does not prevent governor's from moving to any party of their choice, only law makers.
The question u should first and foremost answer in order to fully grab the reasoning of the Court is; 1. Was umahi an independent candidate in the election he won as a governor in Ebonyi State? 2. Was he a candidate of a political in the election? 3. Was he sponsored by a political party? 4. Is it his name that was on the ballot during the election or the party logo and symbols? The office of the governor umahi was occupaying was at the instance and at the pleasure of the party in whose platform umahi stood to become the governor. Election victories in Nigeria are that of the party and not of the individual.
God punish the thief and bigger criminals. Let him go and face an impartial and unbaised judge who preside over a court where bribes cannot be offered nor kickbacks taken.
okrote4real: APC SAYS FEDERAL HIGH COURT DECISION ON DEFECTION OF GOVERNOR UMAHI CLEAR CASE OF TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE & JUDICIAL RECKLESSNESS, EFFECT IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
1. Our attention has been drawn to the judgement made by Hon Justice Inyang Ekwo of Court 5 of Federal High Court FCT, Abuja and the travesty of Justice occasioned by the recklessness of his Judicial decision.
2. The crux of the matter is a suit by People's Democratic Party,PDP seeking to sack the Governor of Ebonyi State ,His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE (Akubaraoha) and his Deputy for defecting to All Progressives Congress ( APC). The parties raised issues for determination which all bother on whether or not defection to another political party from a party that elected the Governor or his Deputy amounts to a breach of any section (s) of the constitution or the Electoral Act that should warrant a Judicial interpretation, raising declaratory and or injunctive orders against the Governor of a State and or his Deputy.
.3. The Presiding Judge committed a glaring judicial error by giving judgement sacking a duly elected and sworn-in Governor and his Deputy without relying on or citing any provision(s) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or any provision of the Electoral Act that empowers the court to sack a sitting Governor and or his Deputy. This is purely a travesty of Justice.
4. The Court failed, refused and or neglected to understand the clear difference between a Governorship candidate of a Political Party as contemplated by the Electoral Act and a Governor of a State duly sworn in as contemplated by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Court presided by Hon. Justice Inyang Ekwo further went ahead to rely on the outdated authority of Amaechi v INEC( Omegha case) without exercising the Judicial power of Judicial distinction between pre-election/ electon matters and this matter of elected Governor defecting to another Political Party. He chose not to appreciate or he lacked the understanding of the difference between a Governor of a State and Governorship candidate of a Political Party. The Electoral Act and the judgement in Amaechi v INEC contemplate who is the right candidate of the Party and not the issue of defection, as you all know neither Amaechi nor Omegha raised issue of defection to another Political Party. So it is absolutely rediculous and questionable, as it shameful that a judge could decide a weighty matter such as conditions for sacking the Governor of a State without relying on any express provision of the Constitution or Electoral Act or Judicial Authority either of superior courts or even courts of coordinate jurisdiction.
5 It will be noted that a State High Court sitting in Ebonyi State presided by Hon Justice Henry Njoku ( who is more Senior in Bench than Hon Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court 5 Abuja) has given judgement on the issues sought in this Ekwo Judgement). The Governor of Zamfra State was recently given a clean bill of health in the matter for which this same issue of defection was sought to be determined. In that case the Federal High Court, in its well considered judgement stated that there is no provision in any law of the land or the Constitution of Nigeria that empowers any court in Nigeria to sack or tamper with the office of a siting Governor and or Deputy for the reason of DEFECTION TO ANOTHER POLITICAL PARTY.
6. The constitution of Nigeria upholds the supremacy of the right of association of persons (even to defect from one political party to the other). This is the prevailing position of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the case of AG Fed & 2 ors v Alhaji Abubarkar & 3 ors ( SC 31/2007) (2007) NGSC 118, 20th April 2007. The case interpreted the right of FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION to determine whether the action of a Vice President abandoning the political party whose platform he and the President were elected and joining another Political Party without resigning, amounts to CONSTRUCTIVE RESIGNATION from office, to warrant the seat of the Vice President to be declared vacant.
The Supreme Court held that the Vice President ( the President , the Governor, the Deputy Governor) can can only vacate office pursuant to section 306( resignation) or sections 143 & 144 of the Constitution of Nigeria which is parimateria with sections 188 & 189 of the same Constitution..
7. The Federal High Court sitting in Zamfra State has also relied on this Judicial Authority as the Law. In that case, the Court most recently held that Governor Bellow Matawallle VIOLATED NO provision of the Constitution of Nigeria and or PDP or APC's constitution by his defection.
8. We therefore urge the people of Ebonyi State, the associates and fans of the visionary Governor of Ebonyi State,His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE (Akubaraoha) to go about their normal business and disregard the outcome of the Ekwo Judgement as being dead on arrival and having no iota of effect on the res of the matter as the Governor is sitting solidly and undistracted.
