Why will Buhari not take responsibility for his failure, first as the president of the federal republic, then as minister for petroleum resources? This country deserves better than this selfish, incompetent and wicked crop of political leaders. |
This is what you get for voting in incompetent and clueless leaders without vision. It's pathetic that a country blessed with so much human and material resources is struggling with basic things like petrol availability, electricity, pipe-borne water, good roads and a functional healthcare system. Nigerians, be wise. Do not be deceived again come 2023. |
With the rot, decay, borrowing, looting and corruption going on in the government now, the next president will have a hard time knowing where to start. If we kuku vote another Buhari, Naija don cast be that. |
Kyari is a product of a failed system. His case speaks volumes of how the Nigerian system works. it's time we build strong institutions that will hold people accountable for their actions. Until we have strong institutions rather than strong men controlling those institutions, Nigeria will not go anywhere. |
Nautical bullshit. The guy is a clown and knows nothing about governance. |
Congratulations to you. But why did you do it on your knees? If I ever propose to a woman, I'll do it sitting like I king on his throne. |
It's a good thing if it's not ojoro love. But it looks like one of those long-throat love affairs where one party parasites on the other party. |
BERNIMOORE:Being controversial has nothing to do with women being allowed to teach in the church. Remember, we still have controversial male pastors too. But that has not stopped them from preaching the word of God. |
In some Christian denominations, women are not allowed to hold pastoral positions or any other position that allows them to teach in the church congregation. In such settings, the highest position a woman can occupy is to maybe become the leader of the women group and nothing more that gives her the chance to teach the general congregation. Those who hold on to this doctrine, base it on the following verses. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 1 Timothy 2:11 -12 (NKJV) Taking just these two verses in isolation, they seem to imply that women should not teach or exercise spiritual authority over men. But these two verses cannot be rightly understood in isolation. Before we go further, we’ll like you to understand that the Apostle, Paul’s letter to Timothy was not addressed to a Christian congregation but an individual. Paul was writing to his spiritual son, Timothy, a young preacher who was his companion in the ministry. He was advising Timothy on acceptable moral standards, not just for Christian women, but Christian men as well. He started by saying, “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” 1 Timothy 2:8 This Scripture clearly shows that Paul was not talking about what the men should be doing in the church because he said that the men should be praying everywhere, and praying everywhere is something you do not only in church gatherings. After this, he went on to advise Christian women on moderation, simplicity and godliness (1 Timothy 2:9-10). Verse 9 of 1 Timothy 2 starts with the words, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel…” This, again shows that Paul was advising the women to dress modestly, not just during church meetings but wherever they go. When Paul went further to say, “Let a woman learn in silence with all submission and I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence,” he was specifically talking about the role of a woman in a family setting and not the church setting. From the beginning, God in His infinite wisdom has made man the head of the family. He demands that all wives submit to their husbands. This explains why Paul said in his letter to the Ephesians, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Saviour of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” (Ephesians 5:22-24). From Ephesians 5:22-24, it is evident that the headship of husbands over their wives is scriptural. However, this does not prevent women from holding leadership positions in the church denomination. It is a fundamental error to build a doctrine on 1 Timothy 2:11-12 that excludes women from holding leadership positions in the church for several reasons. First, this doctrine completely removes God’s prerogative of using anyone, both male and female, in the church, according to His will. If you say someone should not serve in a leadership position in the church because she’s a woman, you are usurping God’s authority and making yourself the decider of who should or should not serve God’s purpose in the church, consequently positioning yourself as an obstacle to the same faith you claim to uphold. Apart from this, preventing women from holding leadership positions in the church presents God as partial and discriminatory, which is an affront to the true nature of God. All through the Bible, God has used different women in different scenarios to work out His purpose. For instance, Deborah was a prophetess and judge who judged Israel at some point in their history. During her period as a judge, Israel gained a significant and miraculous victory over the Canaanite king and his army. (Judges 4). As it turned out, Sisera, the mighty commander of the Canaanite army was killed by a woman. Esther was also a woman who was used greatly by God to not only deliver the Jews from extinction but to secure their position in a pagan kingdom. She defied all odds to become the queen and helped put the Jews in a position where they didn’t have to worry about their enemies anymore. Side-lining women in the church limit their contribution to the growth of the church. Women have so much to offer, just like everyone else. Not letting them take their rightful place in the church impacts negatively on the church. After Christ gave Christians the great commission, He said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17-18 NKJV). The great commission was not given to the men only but to everyone who believes, male or female. Every Bible-believing Christian carries the manifest power of God and should, therefore, not be prevented from playing whatever role God has assigned them according to His will. Christ did not prevent women from serving Him as we see in Mary and Martha so why should anyone prevent women from serving God in any capacity they feel called to serve? Oh! Before we go, let’s not forget that it was a woman that saw Christ first after His resurrection. This only strengthens the fact that everyone, especially women, has a role to play in God’s plan. Let’s not take God’s place in people’s lives by trying to define what roles they should or should not play in God’s overall plan for mankind. Let no one deceive you, the era of women being relegated to the background in the church is over. It might interest you to know that the first person to bear the message of the risen Christ was a woman. It is recorded in scripture that after the crucifixion, all the disciples went back to their homes (John 20:9-10). The word of God says “But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping…” (John 201:11). While the disciples left their place beside the tomb and went back to their business, Mary waited and her wait was rewarded. She was given a message for the disciples. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. John 20:18 When Mary gathered all the disciples and gave them the message she had received from Christ, what do you think she was doing? Of course, she was teaching them about the resurrected Jesus. If Jesus did not think women should teach men, he would never have given the first message he had for His disciples after the resurrection to a woman.

These days, it seems women don't get satisfied. Do all on these and more and you'll be shocked that your woman still complains. Daughters 9f Jezebel everywhere. Good points though. Great ways to love a woman. |
What's with the Nigerian police and killing the citizens they're meant to protect? So many deaths in the hands of officers who are charged with the protection of lives and property. What a shame. |
So much evil in the hearts of men today. May God keep us safe from the devils in our midst. |
Making excuses or justifying your shortcomings is bad for your mental and spiritual growth. God doesn't have room for your excuses. He wants you to operate optimally in His plan and nothing short of this. This post seeks to highlight three ways that Christians limit themselves by making excuses that prevent them from becoming all that God has intended them to be. I HAVE NO ONE TO HELP ME This is one big lie from the pit of hell designed to inspire self-pity and keep you from accessing God's glorious riches available to you through Christ. In John 5:2-9, the Bible says that at a certain period of the year, an angel came down to the pool of Bethsaida and stirred up the water and whoever stepped in first afterwards gets delivered from his infirmity. There was this fellow who had been there for thirty-eight good years and each time, someone else stepped in ahead of him. For thirty-eight years the Angel stirred the water and each time he waited for help while someone else who needed the miracle more, stepped in and got it. When Jesus finally came to change his story, he was asked the simple yes-or-no question, "Do you want to be made well?" His answer was annoyingly off the mark. "The sick man answered Him 'Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." (John 5:7 NKJV) While this man waited each time for someone to help him step into the pool, someone else, who didn't wait for help stepped in and took his place. If not for God's mercy, that fellow could have died waiting for help to get what was already his. The truth is: you don't need anyone but God to take your place in God's plan. If you have Jesus, you have everything you need to succeed because He is all you really need. In another instance, in Matthew 9:20-22, we see the woman with the issue of blood, who had been with this problem for 12years. The Bible didn't say she waited for anyone to bring her to Jesus or bring Jesus to her. The Bible says she stepped forward and touched the hem of His garment for she said her heart, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." (John 9:21). She didn't make excuses, she believed and because she believed, she acted out her faith and got her miracle immediately. This year, drop that excuse of "I have no one to help me" because that's not really true except maybe if you don't have Jesus in your life in which case, I'll advise you to make Him your Lord and personal Saviour. I HAVE TRIED MY BEST Unless you're lying on your deathbed, prepared to meet the Lord, you're not supposed to use the words "I've tried my best." Why do I say this? God is not relying on your "best" to get you where He wants you to be. Romans 10:16 says, "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." God's mercy and favour are not predicated on your effort but His Grace through the sacrifice of Jesus at the cross. God doesn't want you to try, He wants you to "cast your burdens upon Him because He cares for you." (I Peter 5:7). Christ said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." God doesn't want you to carry your burdens yourself, He wants to help you carry those burdens when you yoke yourself with Him. Whenever you get overwhelmed, stop trying. Being overwhelmed is a sure sign that you can't do it on your own. That's the point you should let God handle your issues. Anyone who depends on Jesus never gets overwhelmed. THIS IS WHO I AM, I CAN'T HELP IT. Anyone who ever says this is not willing to change. It's a self-justifying tactic that limits you to where you are. While it is true that you might not be able to change certain things about your personality or circumstances, that doesn't mean you should throw your hands in the air and surrender to defeat. It only means you should surrender to God and let Him deal with that impossible situation in your life. If who you are now doesn't reflect who Christ is, then you are short of your true potentials and the least you could do is to let God refine you into who He has made you to be. This year, make a commitment to constantly improve your relationship with God until you're perfectly reflecting the beauty and nature of Christ. Peace is not just the absence of conflict but the ability to maintain a calm disposition and objectively manage all situations without losing your sanity. Inner peace is highly unlikely to come from external factors like money, level of influence or social status but flows from within to the outside. In a noisy world, full of chaos, confusion and distractions, maintaining inner peace is necessary to get through each day without breaking apart. This post will show you exactly how in five different ways. 1. SEEK GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART There is no peace anywhere else other than in Christ. John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." The kind of peace that Christ offers is not the illusion that the world calls "peace." Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27). God's peace completely eradicates fear and makes you free from emotional trauma even in dire situations. God's peace does not mean you'll become problem-free. It means your problems will no longer give you sleepless nights or raise your blood pressure. On the other hand, all the world offers is gloom and uncertainty. The "peace" of the world comes with undesirable side effects. "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." (1 Thessalonians 5:3) If you want real peace, Christ is the surest way. 2. BE GRATEFUL FOR THE LITTLE THINGS A heart of gratitude opens you up to inner peace. Building your life around material possessions causes you to constantly labour and toil in a bid to satisfy your greed. God's blessings abound even in the seemingly little things we often don't appreciate. There is no such thing as "a big miracle" because no miracle is small. The gift of life is a miracle as much as the air you breathe. To experience peace, appreciate God for what you do have instead of complaining about what you don't have. "Godliness with contentment is great gain." (1 Timothy 6:6). 3. EXPECT NOTHING FROM ANYONE Nobody owes you anything in life. Understand that you are not anyone's responsibility. Entitlement mentality engenders strife and bitterness. Trust God to take care of you because only God never disappoints. As long as you expect nothing from friends and relatives, you'll never be disappointed and this is one good way to maintain inner peace. In all situations, do what you can and whatever you can't handle, trust God to handle on your behalf. 4. DO NOT OVERINDULGE IN ANYTHING Cut your excesses and do not bite more than you can chew. Never try to impress anyone or conform to anyone's standards. Exercise moderation and be quick to say no when you're pushed beyond your capacity. 5. STAY AWAY FROM ALL NEGATIVITY, PESSIMISM AND BAD VIBES Negative emotions like anger, jealousy, hatred, sadness, etc. are your biggest threats to inner peace. In all situations, maintain a positive physical and mental disposition. Stay away from friends who stir up these negative emotions in you. Protect your inner peace. Wake up every morning with hope, prepared to be all that you were meant to be. Source: https://pejoweb.com/articles.php?epr=view&pagename=FIVEWAYSTOMAINTAININNERPEACEMinke.html |
Marriage is not for the immature. Before you decide to tie the knot, be sure you're mentally ready. Otherwise, it will be a bed of thorns for you. |
What is going on in the east? The once peaceful Igboland is now full of stories of killings and other criminal activities. This is not the way to go. Violence will only make things worse for Ndi Igbo. |
Does the state house of assembly have the the power to suspend an elected local government chairman? I'm not a a constitutional lawyer but that can't be done. I smell a rat in this. |
All I can say is this: Nigerians, vote wisely. |

Family drama! But oga if madam dey work, who wan take care of the the kids. Maybe you should take the time to help her understand that in this bad economy, you need her support. One good way to convince her will go like this: What if I die today? How do you plan on taking care of the kids without me if you're not earning money? This should jolt her to the reality that she needs to earn her own money. |
This is what should have been done a very long time ago. Anyway, better late than never. It's time the black sooth stops. |
I'll go for Mogalu. The rest are all... Well, you know. |
Religion is a very controversial subject to discuss anywhere. This is because all religions claim to come from God or in a way, originate from God. But this isn't true because the practices and beliefs of some religious organisations are clearly at variance with the very nature of God. In my opinion, religion is not about having the right set of beliefs or being a member of a particular denomination. True religion is all about loving God and loving people and treating each other with respect and dignity. This is summarised in James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27 What's your take on this subject? Tell us what you feel true religion should be. |

Love mean different things to different people. To some, it's all about companionship. To others, it's about being with that special person that makes your heart beat. When love comes knocking, we are often unprepared for it. Some find it easily, others have a hard time connecting with the partner of their dreams. Romantic relationships are often more complicated than one could imagine. This is because our imperfections are reflected in the way we treat others, especially people that care deeply about us. Almost everyone has their definition of what love is. As for me, love means sharing your life with someone and even though that someone may not be perfect, love will always help you ride out the storm together. I'm taking my time to find love and when I do, I plan on sharing all my life with that one person. That's why I'm saving all my love for her. What's your definition of love? Have you found love yet? What's your experience about loving the wrong person? Let's talk about love! |
Christ is indeed the only way to eternal life. He is the way, the truth and the life. |
Racoon:That's my point. Let's not allow any politician who doesn't support a system that works for all Nigerians access to power. |
