Who the gods want to kill, they first make mad. The mistakes of APC will lead to a new and better Nigeria. All the enemies of this country will make mistakes that will cause their downfall. |
The Bible is the most inspiring book I've ever read. It is based primarily on the lives of God's people through history and preserved for us by God Himself. From the stories of the lives of God's servants in the Bible, my favourite character is Joseph. The story of Joseph inspires me to serve God in all circumstances and trust Him to bring His plan to pass in my life. Who's your favourite Bible character and what have you learned from his/her life? |
Believe it or not Peter Obi is the right man for the job. Argue with your ancestors if you think otherwise. |
Don't they know that spreading fake news is a criminal offense? Of course they know but do it anyway because they have the support of this nepotic and evil government. |
It is common in Christian circles to observe that whenever Pastors or other church leaders are rebuked or criticized openly for their errors, some members will rise up in their defence. They often use the Scripture, "Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm," to try to cover up the sins of their church leader. But are men of God above criticism? Scripturally, no human, including men of God no matter how highly placed, is above criticism. The higher one climbs spiritually, the more exposed they become to satanic attacks and this is the main reason these men of God should be made to be more accountable and transparent in the work that has been committed to them. Moreover, men of God are also humans and are capable of making mistakes and also need correction from other Christians who may notice these mistakes that may not be apparent to them. This is exactly what Paul did when Peter got hypocritical with the Jews as we see in the scripture quoted below. But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?” We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. Galatians 2:11-16 (ESV) We see Paul rebuking Peter sharply for his hypocrisy not minding Peter's position in the church. He criticized Peter's pretentious disposition in the presence of everyone and we didn't see anyone defending Peter's sin or feeling bad that their leader was being criticized publicly. The word of God says that open rebuke is better than secret love. Every true man of God would love correction and will not be defensive when corrected. In the same way, true Christians will never feel the need to defend sin no matter who is involved. |
Death is a resilient bitch. He escaped Ukrain only to die in Germany because he took a dive into a lake of fire. Reminds me of the saying, "Never test the depth of water with both feet." Rest in peace man. |
Nigeria, the crawling giant of Africa needs help. I only hope we make the right choice of president come 2023. |
I just hope Nigerians have learnt their lessons from all the years of leadership failure from both the PDP and the APC. I hope we really do get it right because I'm not sure this country can survive another four years of clueless and inept leadership at the centre. |
The world is sick. The kind of depravity and wickedness in the hearts of men is mind-blowing. The end is near. Only Jesus is the answer in these dark times we live in. A relationship with God guarantees real peace in this troubled world. |
Instead of attacking your argument, most people attack your person and not issues you raise. Such are unreasonable and hard to deal with. Never argue with an unreasonable fellow. |
Demo-CRAZY Government of the elite for the elite and by the elite. While the common man languishes in penury and deprivation, the political class live in affluence, stealing from the poor to stay rich. What a wicked system we operate |
Politics in Nigeria is very expensive. The old cargos are trying very hard to frustrate the youth out of the political system by making it exorbitant. Imagine getting a nomination form for as high as fifty million naira. How many youths can afford that? That's why we have to stand up and put an end to this bad system by voting in the right leaders with the requisite experience and will to change this for the better. |
I hope INEC's inconclusive nature will not ruin this elections. |
Good critical review, I must say. Every writer needs such critical reviews to assess themselves. If you think you're a good writer, wait until someone else reads your work and gives their unbiased opinion of it. Those who wish to improve their craft will always welcome reviews with an open heart and work at making improvement. |
Congratulations to you on this milestone achievement. Great site with lots of good content. |
In 2015, the said "man of god" supported Buhari and today, we see how things turned out. If he isn't supporting Obi, it only means that Peter Obi is the best candidate for the job. |
The country is where it is today because of the corrupt tendencies of our past and present leaders. If someone bribes the electorate with billions to vote for him, of course he will steal from the treasury to recover his money. Untill we root out these thieves from our political system, we might not make any meaningful progress as a people. |
How come the majority of Igbos supported Jonathan in 2011 and he ended up winning that election? |
bigpicture001:They wouldn't know where to start because the OBIdient servants of Peter have taken over the online space and hopefully the 2023 presidential elections. It's time for a new Nigeria. It's time to vote in a leader who actually has the mental capacity and the will to take Naija to the promised land. |
Obi has become a political movement that will root out the evil APC and PDP who have squandered our resources for decades. It's time Nigerians rise up to the occasion and vote a reliable and trustworthy leader who actually knows how to lead. |
Good points. Obi knows how to transform our comatose economy and lead the country to greater heights. |
Obi is the best man to lead this country out of the horrible position that these charlatans have put us in. I hope he wins the next presidential elections. |
Whoever they pick, affliction shall not arise a second time. As they gather to share our collective wealth, they will fail because this time, Nigerians know better. |
siofra:Good for you. No to premarital sex. Stay clean and free from the vices of fornication and adultery. |
Great advice. But let's cross that bridge when we get there. On a lighter note, Nigerian politicians seem to be experts at changing political parties so if Obi wins, which I strongly believe he will, others will join him at labour party and pretend it's for the good of the country. |
I've always held the view that the youths are not ready to emancipate themselves from the tyranny of this old political players. Until we all realise that our destiny is in our hands and engineer a political revolution that will kick the old crooks out we will be singing the same old song of slavery and oppression. I hope the Nigerian youths have learned their lessons and are ready to vote out bad governance in 2023. |
My prayer is that the wrong candidate never becomes the president. Nigerians have suffered enough and I don't think this country will survive another underperforming president or a clueless administration. |
Well, I hope men like Tinubu or Atiku never get to be president. Nigeria deserves better than these two. |
PhoebeJulius22:You're welcome. |
frankwriter:I'm glad you did. |
After the creation, God rested on the seventh day. He gave the early Jews the instruction to rest on the Sabbath day being the seventh day of the week in which He rested from the work of creation. For countless generations after, the Jews have obeyed this instruction until the Christian era. This leaves the question of why the early Church leaders decided to make the Christian day of worship the first day of the week (Sunday) as against the established last day of the week (Saturday). Well, the only reason Christians worship on Sunday is because Jesus resurrected on Sunday and the early church leaders thought it wise to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord each week rather than stick to old Jewish traditions and ways of worship. Christianity, although one of the three Abrahamic religions, is not based on Jewish doctrines but is built on the foundation of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. To this end, it is more fulfilling to celebrate the resurrection each week. |
