This fact aloneestablishes a clear distinction between GOD and ALLAH. As Muslims recite the 99 names for their god on the string of 99 prayer beads, the name for the True God is missing; LOVE - ''GOD IS LOVE'',
This create another clear distinction between GOD and ALLAH.
Muhammad is said to have stated that whoever called upon GOD by that exalted 100th name would recieve all his desires.
It was LOVE that brought Jesus from HEAVEN to the CROSS taking God's judgement on sin, so that ALL who call upon His Name recieves His forgiveness and go free.
THE CRESCENT MOON
Why is the significant of the Crescent so prominent on all mosques and national flags? It is the symbol of the MOON GOD going back thousands of years.
ALLAH was the MOON GOD, the presiding deity amongst the gods that were worshipped in Arabia and in the East. How long this worship of the MOON GOD goes back we dont know, but HIS symbol, the CRESCENT MOON, was worn by the descendants of ISHMAEL, well over 3000 years ago.
In Judges 8 we read where Gideon had great victory over an invading army of ISHMAELITES from the East ( These were descendants of ISHMAEL, born to Abraham through his Egyptian servant girl about 600 years earlier.)
These were wealthy men , and amongst the the gold ornaments Gideon's men gathered from the slain were ''the CRESCENTS that were on their camel's necks''.
Their Kings also wore the GOLD CRESCENTS. (8:21,26)
The CRESCENT obviously was their NATIONAL, and problably RELIGIOUS emblem worn into battle as a lucky charm.
These Ishmaelites were wealthy merchants, (verse 24) and slave traders as we see in Genesis 37:23-28 where they bought Joseph from his brothers and sold him to Egypt.
The FAST OF RAMADAN, the ninth month, in which Muslims are forbidden to eat or drink anything between Sunrise and Sunset, is closely associated with the MOON. It starts with the Crescent of the New Moon, and ends wit h the final Crescent at the end of the month.
Often through the Bible we read how that under bad leadership, the Isrealites turned from worship of the TRUE GOD and adopted the practice of the heathen around them, and is Isa.3:18 we see an example of how about 500 years after Gideon's victory, the CRESCENT had become an ornament of pride amongst the Isrealite women, but God disapproved and said that amongstf their other ornaments, he would ''take away the CRESCENTS''.
This creates difficult questions for Muslims. Why does the Moon figure so prominently in Islamic religion and practice?
The answer is that since ALLAH THE MOON GOD, the god of Ishmaelites was already being worshipped in Mecca, and Mohammad was a descendant of Ishmael, it was natural to continue with Allah as the god of the new religion, and to maintain THE CRESCENT as his EMBLEM, as it is in the Muslim religion and politics to this day.
We will see thar in spiritual matters there is so wide a gulf between the two Christian leaders and Muslim sharing pulpits is, as JESUS, said ''They are blind leaders of the blind, and if the BLIND lead the BLIND both will fall into a pit''

It is obvious that Muhammad believed that spirit calld ALLAH was final authority, so that this day Muslims are taught that whatever happenns, for good or ill, it is the will of Allah. (They would normally say it is God's will, but keep in mind that this always means Allah).
It relieves the individual of any sense of guilt or responsibility for anything they do, even the most gruesome murders in the name oa Allah, even what they call HONOUR KILLINGS, so that a father slits his daughter's throat becaus she was friendly wit ha Christian boy. This is only one of many such killings in Britain and Europe.
In Muslim lands the people are held in fear by incidents. Fear is the driving force of Islam.
Whereas. LOVE and LIBERTY are the controlling power in true Christianity.
Hundreds of young men are encouraged to volunteer as SUICIDE BOMBERS on the false promise that 70 young virgins are waiting to welcome them into paradise so they can freely indulge their sex passion for eternity.
This is only a small sample of the CULTURE OF FEAR being developed everywhere, and it emphasizes the breadth of the gap between the followers of Allah and the followers of Jesus Christ.
Oh how we long to see the love of God filling the hearts and minds of these young people so that they could use their energies in helping the millions of suffering and starving in the world today, instead of planning to kill as many as possible.
Basically, all this is Allah's will, although many Muslims might not wholly agree with it, especially when it happens on their own people, as is happening in the world these days.
What Allah decides is their only hope for eternity, so that Muslim has no choice and no assurance of whether he will be in heaven or hell till, as a Muslim explained to me, Allah puts his good deeds and bad deeds in his scales after death, and on the basis of which is the heavier his destination is determined.
It seems that the believe tha Muhammad didnt have any peace because every time a Muslim mentions his name he adds ''peace be upon him''.
In this they express their concern that he has not entered into peace.
We never pray for peace on Jesus because He is THE PRINCE OF PEACE and the giver of perfect peace to thise who wholly trust in Him an their Savior and Lord, so that there is no need to pray for peace for those who die trusting in Jesus

zig2ryme04: It needs to be clearly understood that when muslim leaders speak of God, as they did on tv saying that ''The quran is the literral embodment of God'', or that islam is ''the family of God'', and ''jihad is like all the comands of God'', that all statements apply only to their own god, ALLAH, THE MOON GOD.
THEY NEVER SPEAK FOR ''THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST'', the ALMIGHTY, ETERNAL GOD, the ONLY GOD that all true christian worship.

Mohamed came 500years after Jesus had gone to Heaven.
Another thing that can be very deceiving for christians is the many similarities between ISLAM andCHRISTIANITY. Muslims believe in Jesus, but only as one prophet. They say he did not die on the cross, but without His atoning death and resurrecction from the dead, Christianity in only another religion with a set of rituals. Muslims believe in His vergin Birth , and in His Second Coming. It seems that Muhammad picked up much of the rituals of the type of Christianity around him, such as prayer beeds, specific times daily for ritual prayer, abstinence from certain meats at certain times, month of fasting from special foods, pilgrimages to shrines, Holy water from Mecca, etc. They also believe in the story of the assumption of Mary as well as the assumption of Fatima, Muhammad's daughter.
It can be very misleading for anyone who does not know the basis on which Christianity is founded.
The connection with Abraham is an area of common appeal, so this does need to be carefully considered . it is obvious in Islamic doctrine and practice that mohammad was well acquainted with the Jewish LAWS AND CUSTOM as practice by the jews amongst whom he lived.
MEAT LAWS, for example, slaying the animal, forbiding meats, fasting , hand washing, etc.
People generally, are influenced by the customs of the society in which they live, and in his search for truth, muhammad obviously was influenced by all these things.

I'm more like a free thinker and I take values from all religion that matches my idea about GOD. I would say I have a relationship with GOD in my own way. If you think the Bible is not Holy because of the horrors and contradictories then my friend, I would then say the Quran too is not Holy. I by no means is trying to put a dent on your religion or something. I'm just saying. There are some overwhelming facts the user Desika has made that no muslim on this thread has successfully been able to counter.

If Luke said he himself was not an eyewitness and the knowledge he gathered was from eyewitness and not as words inspired by God, do you still believe the Bible is God's word?

I hv asked you to disprove desika in all he has portended here based on logical myths or common reasoning even though they are without facts. Ayeni an lyrix hv not made any sense with their contributions, desika had dealt with their delusions succinctly. It is not enough to just say desika is confused when infact you have not disprove his points, if and when you do, only then would you have convinced a whole lot of rational thinkers how confused desika is. My response:
Please try and make some effort to study the Pre-Islamic religious deities of the Arabs. They did not have any idol called Allah as they identified the word Allah with a supreme being. Just as Yorubas who were idolators identified the word Olorun (Olu-orun) as the supreme being does that mean christians or Yorubas who name their kids with the prefix Olu are referring to an idol. Well i guess you know the answer to that. The proper historical context is that Arabs and Jews being descendants of father Abraham at one time or the other identified a supreme being called Yah Weh or Allah but of course somewhere along the line they strayed e.g. The Israelites carving an idol for themselves after being delivered from Egypt. Like i said a proper historical context would have helped you instead of re-hashing the same old story from antagonists of Islam.

I really dont know where you got your story from that the Arabs referred to one of their deities as Allah when they had a pantheon of gods just like the greeks. even each family or tribe has or had its own god they dedicated themselves to. So even if one tribe referred to Hubal as Al-ilah does that mean another tribe accepted that? Besides if an Arab christian tells you that God in the Arabic language is Allah can you claim to know the language more than speaker? here is a challenge can you provide the etymology of the word Allah then?
