Ingenious I must say. The government and private bodies need to tap into these talents by creating an enabling environment. I recall this engineering talent I know that had to leave his robotic uni project way back in 1999 because he couldn't get adequate sponsorship! Nice one OP though on Nigeria today, people tend to apply indiscriminately. Don't ask why though. |
Isnt it crazy what the harsh economic situation in the country has been pushing some people to. Came across this story on Facebook and couldn't help but share the nobility of the man's character. The young man in red shirt came home to meet his neighbors beating up a guy that tried to steal his generator and bike. Instead of joining in, he admonished the crowd, had the thief bathe in his house, clothed, fed him and sent him home with a stipend after having a long talk with him on dangers of indulging in vices. Believe it or not, Nigerians are really great people! What would you do if you were in his shoes? Read his account of the story after the cut.

elektra80:Thank you for the contribution. Where can one get the ATF DW1 for my EOD please? Also what's the best engine oil to use? |
Eledan:Does the android tv box MXIII rely on your Wi-Fi subscription? How much data do you subscribe for it? |
Kzealz:Open your mind to knowledge and learn. Seadog means an experienced sailor! |
bolaino:They are called pyrates and not pirates. The Y questions convention while the other with I reeks of ego. They are two different things. |
One thing I learnt early in life is never to put a price tag on yourself! Sleeping with the man for a job is putting a tag on oneself. Don't make yourself cheap cos if you ain't qualified for it you'll still end up losing the job. |
hoodboy:Yes. They were being imported. |

A good and bold step by SecureID Ltd. This is a very welcome development considering what banks go through importing and clearing these card plastics from the middle east in most cases. The OP should have mentioned that the president was represented by the Hon Minister Omobola Johnson at the inauguration of the facility which is privately owned and not a government initiative. Good one there though. |
Uchexxy:You may link your various accounts in same bank to a particlar one card if you so wish, but most banks will require the accounts to be in one currency. Meaning you can have all your dollar accounts on one card and naira accounts on another. |
BlackPikiN:They should take the campaign to Ago Palace way, Okota and all the Igbo populated areas that basic infrastructures such as Road and water have been denied for almost a decade! Cosmetic campaigns! |
NIPOST IS AT IT AGAIN!. Just about when I, and people like me, started to regain confidence in Nigerian Post services, something very annoying has started to give customers of this service ugly experiences and an urge to sort some other options. I received a text on my mobile phone, as usual, that I have a parcel to collect at the Zaria post office. On reaching there, I was told to pay N500.00 for each envelope that that was a new development. I tried to inquire what the charge is for but had no good explanation. I had to pay N500.00 'cos I was in a hurry and the parcel had delayed. A week after, same thing happened and a man who appeared to be the manager or the head of a unit explained that the management was at his neck to collect this charge. I insisted for a receipt and they issued me one 'for bulk delivery'. Pleas can someone who understands how this works explain what bulk delivery is in the post office terms? I only received small items in three envelops. they were registered mails that had been paid by the sender. If we do not take care of stuffs like this early, maybe mails will begin to get lost once more without trace. Fellow nairalanders share your views on this or similar experiences. |
I was called Mr Weng in primary school, was pretty small but quite active. Lol |
Jennimma: the last time I checked "scare the sh.it out of sb" is an idiom which means frighten sb very much.An idiom I agree but would you use it in a business or official communication? |
omenka: For a brand new car I don't think it is too much tho. But in all honestly, I'd rather go for Volvo s40 2005 or Corolla Sports 2005, or Benz C230 2006 and keep the change instead of purchasing the Hyundai. And that amount for a pint size i10? Gotta be a joke. That's Kia Picanto cousin. I'd rather get the Corolla S! |
The Director-General, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr Benjamin Dikki, said power privatisation in the country had started yielding results with 18-hour uninterrupted power supply to consumers in Lagos. I wonder how they came about this analysis. If their children or wards give their school reports in same manner, I pray they believe it. I stay in Lagos and we know our power story better than this silly fabrication. |
