A/An- There's no literal translation of 'a'/'an' but You can use 'one' to substitute 'a' and in Bini, that 'one' is called 'Okpa'. Example ; I bought a shoe yesterday = I (pronounced as 'e') dè (bought) Ibata (shoe) okpa ( 'a') node (yesterday). Attention: since 'dè' ends with a vowel (e) and 'Ibata' begins with a vowel (i), the last vowel in the preceding word becomes silent and the 2 words are pronounced together. 'Dè ibata' would be pronouced 'Dibata' After - There's no literal translation of 'After' but You can make use of 'Later' as it's a synonym of 'After'. Later in Bini = Azekpe (pronounced that way) Again- De ghè egbe. Example; Go again = De ghè egbe aghian. The previously explained rule applies here too. 'Ghè egbe' becomes 'Ghebge'(pronounced that way). Almost- Tè (pronounced as tail if You make the 'L' silent) Example; I almost fell = I tè dè Always- No literal translation of 'always' but You can make use of 'Everytime'. Everytime= Eghe ya Because- You can use because. ![]() Before- chè (?) Come (as in I come)- Rè ( Future or past tense) dè ( present cont.) Either- Either Or- or Find (as in I find)- No literal translation of 'Find', You can make use of 'see'. See = Mioè (pronounced that way, don't know its real spelling) From- Go (as in I go)- ghìan Goodbye- bye bye or vba azegbe = see You laterHappy- Oghogho I am- I (pronounced 'e') If- dè In- uwè I know- I ehèn Disclaimer :Please, do not quote me anywhere. Trust not ma spellings but I think this will go a long way in helping. This was hella stressful!! ![]() |
adebo4all:I beg to differ!! Quote a Bible verse that verifies this claim. |
