BusinessRe: Saudi Prince: Oil Will Never Return To $100 by MitchDLeo(m): 9:39pm On Jan 13, 2015
My brother or sister you have said the bitter TRUTH. Sometimes I feel GOD himself is angry with Nigeria, despite all the gifts he has blessed that country with(population, abundance in land, natural resources and intelligence), they still want him to come and do the job for them..
ttmacoy:
That's the mentality that has gotten the country where it is. Where there is clear separation between the church and common sense leadership. Where God will do it is the mantra ignoring the fact that God has given you all you need to succeed. Where a pastors prophesy is valued more than integrity, hardwork and honesty.

Where instead of investing in science to eradicate diseases, we would rather spend the money in church and say God will do it.

Nigeria has the highest number of churches per capita in the world, yet where are we with it allhuh Over religious yet corrupt and evil.

Lol. Didn't I say your ideas were interesting? But you're getting excited and doing insults because you think it makes you smart. See, someone even liked your yeye post. They think your tiny-minded ethnocentrism is quaint and that your ideas of using universities to produce, no, develop weapons and asking FG to quit railways for others like LGs, no FG building while the others compliment [sic] are sparks of genius.
I GUESS NO ONE LIKED YOUR POST FOR SOME CERTAIN REASONS.

Note: before they will get to roll their sleeves, the downtrodden,
the poor, the middle class must have been in the brink of
extinction from the face of the earth. We pray for stability
in oil price and a competent leader that we diversify our
economy cause the later is not realizable in the short run
rather in long run. And it requires resources to diversify.
So if we cannot sell a drop of oil how do we get money
for diversification?
THATS A VERY GOOD QUESTION, Gej has started diversifying little by little, but how will GMB DO IT.

Here is what Nigeria needs to do....from the experts...

From the article :Pass the books, hold the oil

And from Field Ruwe...

So instead of blaming the Hausas/leaders/Igbos/Yorubas/Muslims/Christians/etc...why not blame your unnecessary addiction to oil?

Nigerians.....stop talking about Resource control, Sharia, GEJ VS Buhari, and all that.....and focus on education...and getting our leaders to get us there. Use that school for something!

Oil is a curse.
[b]We have the education but we are not really dedicated to our country. Why, because we place ourselves, family, tribe, ethnicity, religion ahead of our country. A typical american is ready to die for his country, but i doubt its the same for a Nigerian.

The little money those governors get from federal should be used to pay workers salary.

nigerian leaders are too useless to build a sensible country. That country should be divided and be separated.

TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by MitchDLeo(m): 11:49pm On Sep 27, 2013
Bro or Sis you speak the TRUTH wink wink wink wink
kalimera101: I love Nigeria. I love nigeria so much that I will like to leave it.
Why?
Cuz I like the best of things. I leave nigeria to learn the best things out there and come back to teach it here. Learn the best, teach the best.
Change starts from moving, the Nigerian general attitude is to complain.
Oh. I do complain, In fact I complained today about this ASUU strike stuff. But my complains ain't gonna change anything.
Keep on doing the same old thing and expecting change is that not a loser's game.
I am well aware that my opportunites are limited here in nigeria but nothing beats working hard. MJ said start with the Man in the Mirror.
I can't hate Nigeria well enough, because I was raised here and if I was not born here I would not have been to appriciate what the western countries have to offer.
But all in all, Nigeria remains the best place to raise kids that won't stand up to u wen they 12 or in their teens to tell u "mom shut up" and u make a fuss about it, u find urself in court. That is not cool.
I agree, there is a lot of basic amenities that the western world have to offer that nigeria might not be planning to apply. But I believe we have the ability to change things.
USA-wasn't always the 1st World economy, china wasn't always the second neither was Japan always the third world economy.
They got to where they are by each citizen working together both diasporeans and the ones in the country.
No need to wait for the government always.
If u check the US well, a lot of properties and co-oporations are privately owned, they provide employment opportunities for people.
That's why, I'll always rep Dangote. The man is really trying with his efforts to help Nigeria in his own way even though he is still making money out of it. He has the money to take care of himself outside nigeria, but he still puts some here, why can't we try to become people like him instead of dissing and cursing then finally adding "Let's Pray for Nigeria", Abi God will climb down from heaven and say "because thee have prayed so hard, I will change this Nation."

This is my 2 yen.

All the schools I know in Europe are responsible for their lecturers wages not the government, thats why private universities keep moving forward without delays in naija. If naija keeps relying too much on FG, only the rich will continue to benefit from that not the poor. Thats reallity

I dont school in Nigeria, i dont know much about ASUU, but i have one question to ask you guys who go to universities in naija, WHATS THE GUARANTEE THAT ASUU WONT GO ON STRIKE AGAIN AFTER THE GOVERNMENT MEETS THEIR NEEDS huh huh huh. HOW SURE ARE YOU THAT SOME MEMBERS OF ASUU WONT STEAL AND LAUNDER THE MONEY TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY LIKE SOME POLITICIANS? huh huh I THINK SOME OF YOU SHOULD BEGIN TO QUESTION ASUU BECAUSE I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD TRUST THEM undecided undecided undecided. they might not be so different from FG and perhaps one more question, which is more important to them YOU THEIR STUDENTS OR THE INCREASE IN WAGES THEY WANT huh huh huh

Ayekooto2013: Christianity in Nigeria is becoming all about money and human worship. Jesus said the only way you will know a true believer is by their fruits, not by the size of their bank account, how famous they are or how wealthy they have become. A true believer is supposed to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit - love, gentleness, kindness, patience, joy, long suffering, meekness and others.
That is what set us apart from others - not our bank account. Like the scripture says, we suppose that gain is godliness.
The world hates christians not because of their holiness, but because of their hypocrisy.
Many can't even discern spiritually how to judge issues like this. God help us! Judgement is coming, and it will start from the house of God!
Actually its Nigeria's HYPOCRISY. We are the most religious country in Africa and the most Lawless one too
Christianity EtcRe: How My Friend Was Brutalised By Winners Chapel Officials In Abuja by MitchDLeo(m): 4:59pm On Sep 11, 2013
No offence i see you like yur church very much but let me remind you not everyone is the same, not everyone shares the same character and personality, don't be judgmental, you should already know by now the mentality of Nigerians, that some Christians will go as far as to kill for the sake of their Pastor, the same way some guys would stand up to beat someone that insults their pastor. From my Perspective i believe religion is a matter of choice. I chose to serve GOD not the man he his using to talk to me, I chose to listen to the Holy Spirit's voice not the one preaching about him, and i chose to pray to God to give me wisdom like he gave to King Solomon instead of going to my Pastor to ask for advice.

alnaijiri: The ancestors of the Arabs also converted to Islam, often through warfare which they lost, much like my ancestors in the North did. I'm confident with my priority. I'm a Muslim first. The solidarity of Muslims recognise no national borders. I'm also a proud African and Nigerian. I believe that through adherence to the laws of Islam as codified in the Sharia and making God the centre of our lives, especially the lives of our leaders, can Nigeria and Africa step out of the dark ages.

Nigeria will be a great country and one of the largest in population in the coming decades. As a Nigerian Muslim, it is my duty to make sure that Islam plays a great and positive role in shaping Nigeria as it progresses in prosperity and influence in the world. I believe that God will make Nigeria a vehicle for spreading the glory of Islam.
Now you just made it worse. Am not a religious addict but am comfortable enough to live in a country with different religions. If you are not satisfied with Nigeria having different religions then I suggest you move out. If you're really seeking for peace and the progress of this country you should Know by now that religion is not the Key. I believe God or Allah will only help those that help themselves. Nigeria wont get better until when its people begin put away its ethnic, Tribal and religious issues and help one another. Religion is Choice, every human has a right to chose their own path. Am not a Muslim but i have lots of friends that follow that religion, they don't criticize the religion i follow and i don't criticize Islam thats why we've been able to work together since were Kids and accomplished a lot. Am sure you are from the North, because here in the south nobody cares if you are a christain or a muslim thats why there are no religious crisis in the south. But dont forget BOKO HARAM, ALqaeda are MUSLIMS.

PoliticsRe: How Lagos Broke Its Own Laws On Deportation - Femi Falana by MitchDLeo(m): 5:47pm On Sep 02, 2013
I see this Deportation thing as rubbish Its just like asking Black Americans to leave America and return to the continent they originally came from Africa. What about beggars that were Born in Lagos are you saying they dont have a right to call themselves Lagosians. huh huh huh huh huh. Am not Yoruba but i was born in Lagos and raised in Lagos and am Proud to call myself a lagosian. All this tribal and ethnic things are rubbish because at the end of the day the world does not care if you are Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa, they only care about the country you come from Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Zamfara Has 1 Million Out-of-School Children by MitchDLeo(m): 3:55pm On Aug 29, 2013
I wouldn't want to bring religion into this. Afterall there's islam in the south too, the difference is that the south is more hardworking than the North thats why 70-90% of Nigeria's economy comes from the south. And if you want to work hard and be very successful Education is a Necessity. If this country is divided into two the south will boost with rapid development. The northerners are the ones slowing Nigeria's Growth.
Samunique: Am not suprised! That's all sharia and islamic state can offer. Meanwhile, i had thought places like, Zamfara, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, e. t.c, would have the best places to live and get along well with life, bcs of being islamic states and being govern by sharia law, But REVERSE is the case. So yerima and co- should be ashamed of themselves and abardon their religious bigotry to humbly come back to civilaization and rationality.
PoliticsRe: Zamfara Has 1 Million Out-of-School Children by MitchDLeo(m): 3:44pm On Aug 29, 2013
Our future leaders has already been chosen and its their own kids who they send to school abroad. Tinubu has already brought 70% of his family relatives into politics do you think Yerima wont do the same, even Johnathan.
chiover: What exactly is going in the ministry of education in nigeria. Those kids dropping out of school are the future leaders of the country. It means the problems of nigeria would be hard to fix since children that are supposed to better the nation tomorrow are no longer schooling. The former governor of that state is busy looking for kid to bed and marry smh. Weeping seriously for nigeria
