SELLING A CHILD sad sad DOESN'T THAT MAKE MONEY MORE VALUABLE THAN THE CHILD. THIS COUNTRY IS bleeped UP, LATER PEOPLE WILL SAY MAY GOD SAVE US WHILE THEY'LL MAKE NO ATTEMPT TO SAVE THIER COUNTRY. AM AGAINST ABORTION BUT I STILL AGREE WITH THE FACT THAT ITS THE WOMAN'S DECISION TO MAKE. Let God be the One to Judge not the Catholic Church.

The Point is Leave the Judgement to God not Man. When people catch thieves in Nigeria they start to burn them or beat them in public WHY? why cant you just take them to the police let God be the One to Judge. Now you want to place Gay in prison for 14 yrs while your leaders steal and get away with their crimes. Why cant you let God be the one to Judge the Homosexuals Like the Pope said. huh undecided undecided

You've Said the Truth

bellong: ^^^ You need to read the extreme abusive language used in the Nigeria in Nigeria and Nigeria in Diaspora thread. I wonder why people cannot pass across their point without descending to using derogatory words.

The painful thing is most of these people claim to be religious and serving God yet their actions and attitude cannot reflect in their confession...

I will not be surprised if the mother of the girl claims its an attack from her enemies.

CareerRe: Why The Education You Received Might Fail You by MitchDLeo(m): 7:05pm On Aug 26, 2013
Its not about quality. What this guy is trying to explain is it is no longer hard to obtain knowledge thanks to the Internet, that is the theories. What we need to focus on now is the Practicals. There are lots of people out there that can tell every single thing they,ve learnt from school but to put that knowledge into use, they find it difficult e.g A graduate can tell all the details and commands in MS-word but finds it hard to Plot a Letter following a specified Template.
AjanleKoko: Okay bros.

First the initial premise, which is that education has failed its customers. My first question would be, are we referring to tertiary education solely, or the whole shebang (primary-secondary-tertiary)?

And also, in what context are we placing the perceived failure? Is it quality (delivery and output), availability/access, or net gains to both individual and society?

Do clarify.

Is ours Better. From my perspective i believe a country's economy should benefit its people not its Government. What Jennifer wrote might sound harsh about Nigeria, but i also Understand her feelings but I also love my Country. We should treat ourselves with better respect We are Nigerians thats the most important thing. Lets stop Dividing Ourselves
Allohrandy: Your argument is not logical..Most Nigerians travel to Ghana and SA for business..There are also thousands of Ghana and SA citizens who flock Nigeria embassy to get Nigeria visa so they can do business in Nigeria..The world is now a global village. Anyway I don't think Ghana economy is stronger than Nigeria and in SA the wealth is not evenly distributed between blacks and white..most blacks in SA are poor
TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by MitchDLeo(m): 3:44pm On Aug 26, 2013
Am right here in my Office looking at poor people begging for money, people sleeping under a bridge, youths throwing Cv looking for jobs, agberos taking money from danfo bus drivers yet we have a lot of Natural Resources how come it only benefiits the Government not the people. Why havent we replaced the danfo buses with the luxurious ones used in London. huh huh huh huh huh. Dont deceive yurself, a wise Old man taught me that it is when you accept you are at fault that yu will learn from your mistake, but if you overlook it you will make the same mistake again and again. And My Grandfather taught me that only a fool makes the same mistake Twice. Am sure PDP will win again in 2015. And by the way theres more slavery in Nigeria than the western world.
successking: Taking a deep look at Nigeria, one will see clearly that Nigeria is not cursed in any way, but people like you who preferred slavery to freedom in a modern free world are cursed.
TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by MitchDLeo(m): 3:18pm On Aug 26, 2013
Unfortunately its BOTH. Foreigners only look at us as Nigerians, not Nigerians in naija or Nigerians in Diaspora. We keep dividing and deceiving our selfs sad sad sad sad.

collynzo2: It's amazing that with all the 'super Nigerians' in diaspora, Nigerians still have a very bad image! I've seen foreigners (who have never been to Nigeria) write and say stuffs like: Nigerians stink (they don't use deodorants)
Nigerians are rude
Nigerians are thieves and all that.
I doubt if it's the Nigerians at home that built this image.
TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by MitchDLeo(m): 3:11pm On Aug 26, 2013
I agree with your thought but the Question is do the Nigerians in Naija want to Learn, am referring to majority. Our people hate changes and thats wats slowing our countries growth.
A-town:
Mrs Jenny Kadry,

I think by starting this thread and making some of the comments, you erred big time. Yes there may be people who beef NID and wot not. As a diasporan that has benefitted from the west, the onus is on you to show THEM THE RIGHT way. How about trying to do things that will educate them/make them be less critical. How about putting some of the skills that you have gained into good use when you are back in the country. You are a NIGERIAN first and everything you are today is attributed to being a NIGERIAN. The only reason you appreciate AUSTRALIA is because you have seen WORSE conditions in Nigeria. Rather than castigate these people, you can help alleviate the problem. The only common denomination here is POVERTY. THe only people that have time to beef anyone are the poor ones. THe rich people in nigeria don't have time for that because they are too busy making more money or enjoying their fabolous lives.

As an example, how many times have you seen a diasporan come back to the country, buy gala and fan yogo and then toss it out the window when they wouldn't do such in their country of domicile?
How many times have you seen diasporans come back in the country, have to line up at an office or something and then use their status/pay someone to get ahead of the line?
Their are tonnes of examples available. The question is, is it right for you to accuse a poor man for being oppressed?
TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by MitchDLeo(m): 3:00pm On Aug 26, 2013
It depends on how you describe the word best because if you haven't noticed some countries in Africa like south Africa, Ghana e.t.c has gone way above Nigeria now. And they have better respect for their citizens. Hundreds of youth in Lagos are in the South African embassy and Ghanaian embassy looking for Visa. And the funny thing is that i heard there was a time in the past when we drove these people away from our home. Thats Ironic
Cultured: @OP

You are a slowpoke by terming our beloved country " shait hole " ... For your information , our best in all professions are based in Nigeria, it's only faint hearty ignoramuses like you and your ilks that do make it look as if it's a big deal living as second class citizen in abroad . Suffice to say 99% of Nigerians living in this so called abroad lives from hand to mouth , so I don't see why you should feel like a demi-god , because you reside abroad temporarily/permanently. If every body should runaway from this country , then who will fix it well ?

Hey! Before you attack me , note that I have traversed the breath and length of this world and I hold permanent residence in 3 different advance countries ,USA inclusive and even as I write this piece am not in Nigeria , but that's not reason enough for me to term my beloved country " shait hole " like you did , because I know that Nigeria still remain the best country in this world .

We already have the Blessings, Intelligient people, Natural Resources, Mass population. But the basic things The Devil used to curse us was Greed, Religion, Tribalism. This are the three basic things that are preventing Nigerians from working together as One Country. Igbo will Fight Yoruba, Hausa will fight Igbo, Yoruba will Fight Igbo, Muslims will Fight Christians, Rich will prevent Poor from progressing to get rich. Tell Me Where am wrong huhhuhhuh??. If God or Allah can bring Unity into this Country things will massively Change.
alnaijiri: My Islamic teacher told me that with every curse, there is a blessing. Now you may think that Nigeria is cursed with corruption, immorality, mediocrity, confusion, etc, but I see it in a different way, an optimistic way. More than ever, God has shown Nigerians, to a greater degree than He has to other nations, that ONLY ISLAM can transform a society, not Western values, not Xtianity, not pagan juju, not money, not hip-hop, not nollywood, not technology.

Only when we listen to God with respect to how to live our lives the way our Creator has intended, can we live in a harmonious, fair, and prosperous society.

My brother I have asked about hundred Nigerians wat they'll do if they became Governors or President and the first thing they could think of is how much money they'll make for themselves first before they do any thing in Naija.
Iyfe Namikaze: atleast some one saw how one dimensional the brit was. although majority of wat he said were true, there was one particular sentence that he made which exposed how partial he was in his assesment... the point he made about nigeria being classless and that even if we are to change the 109 senators with a random 109 nigerians, that the result would still be the same..... and even if he repeat the process 100times, nothing will change. he now later turned round to say that he lads he worked with were one of the most honest, intelligent and upright people he has ever met.... so i ask, are the lads not also nigerians? he said tht though majority of nigerians were corrupt, there were still few who werent corrupt.. so according to him, the only people who werent corrupt must be the lads he worked with shey? if no body saw that statement of his as patronizing ,then alot of u guys here lack comprehension. .Now the issue of experimening with 109 random nigerian for a set of hundred times..... now lets do the maths 109 x 100 = 10,900. so he is saying that out of ten thousand nine hundred random nigerians, there can't be atlest one hundred nd nine honest and truthful nigerians? this articule is so true as well s false. i wont even go into the return to militry rule bullshit, cuz it will only expose how unprofessional his assesment was concerning the average nigerian. i urge you guys not to swallow this write up hook line and sinker. this articule to me is 80% accurate.

And yet there's lot of killings in the middle east. Sorry but it wont work because the Sharia law wont change how a typical Nigerian man Thinks about wanting more than he already has, it only make it worse. And dont forget There's more poverty in the North than The south because of how they rely to much on the Government. Everyone has to put it in their effort. By the way it was not the British that corrupted, it was Us because we chose to follow their footsteps.

alnaijiri: It is the British with their western predatory culture that have corrupted us. The only hope for this country is Sharia law being implemented by God-fearing Muslims across the nation, from the Niger Delta to the shores of Lake Chad to the islands of the Lagos Lagoon.

Is it not Atiku that brought Mikano wat makes yu so sure that GEJ has not invested in this Scam as well. Everyday we abuse and accuse Government without knowing how smart they are. They knew we will buy the generators that why they plotted the scam.
Symphony007: What jumped out to me is something i have been thinking for ages. "there are people deliberately sabotaging the nigerian refinaries rehabilitation so that they can keep making profit from fuel import. There is also a cartel sabotaging the power sector so that they can keep importing generators for profit. And i am inclined to belive this people are working together because generators also need fuel to work......so what is pres. Jonathan doing about this people? Because with them lurking, his "transformation agenda" will never be achieved, or are they his buddies?

Travel around your Country and Tell me the percentage of Nigeria's improvement after 14 years of Democracy
Rossikk: Thank you. So because we have not turned to Japan or Germany, it means we've made no progress? For your information on many things you mentioned we have improved, such as infant mortality rates, poverty rates, and even access to clean drinking water. Evidence:

http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/nigeria_statistics.html

Even the World Bank the other day admitted that poverty was reducing in Nigeria. What about the roads and rail? What about communications? Was it not under the military that all the infrastructure crumbled, something we're now fixing to great acclaim by Nigerians? Will your foreign visitor/writer know any of this? Afterall he just pops in and out and can write anything.

We have lots of engineers, designers, business Men here in Nigeria who wants to make Nigeria better than what it is today and Chief (Dr) Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma is an Example, It doesnt matter if the vehicles is assembled or manufactured, as long as its done in Naija boosting our Economy thats the most Important Thing.
