Update!!!

I've taken Hansel for the serum bilirubin test and the result says the level is normal.
Will take him again to a better lab, just to be double sure all is well.

The size of your bump does not really determine size of belly in all cases. Some women have large uterus and you'll think their baby will be large but he comes out looking small.

As for the milo and milk, i only know it might increase baby weight in some women. For some women, it doesn't. Dunno if it has any health implication as well. Other sabi mamas can shed light...

without running any tests? That's dangerous. Pls take him to another hospital and insist on them running bilibirin test. Outside this country it's routine for any new baby

Not sure what hospital you have taken him to but I have major bias against private hospitals in some instances.... take him to government hospital the likes of general hospital or LUTH . Whatever their shortcomings They still have a larger variety of specialists on hand and have a greater range of experiences.

If only people know that these herbs are sometimrs responsible for the high mortality rate/unexplained deaths in babies.

I've told mum to hold off on the herbs. I've not been comfortable with it. MIL said its fine as long as he's not drinking it. So many conflicting opinions

Mamas instinct are mostly always on point find your way to a paediatricIan asap when you touch him it is supposed to be red not yellow.
Get a test done to put your mine at ease

I'll just go for a test first thing tomorrow morning to check the level of bilirubin on his blood. Still trying to find a paediatrician.

I just got back from the hospital now and met the main doc. He still insists its not jaundice and said i shud take him out under early morning sun, to put my mind at rest.

I don't know any good paeditrician in my area. I live around Ibeju-Lekki axis.

Mamas please i need your help!!!

My ds is one week old and before we left the hospital, two doctors came to check him for traces of jaundice and they said he doesn't have it. But before we left, i noticed his eyes are a bit yellow. I insisted that he should be checked but everyone around said if he has jaundice it'll show in his skin.
My mum got some herbs to use to wash his skin yesterday. She said it will clear the jaundice if he truly has it. She wanted to give him to drink but i and dh refused.
This morning i noticed if i touch his skin and remove my hand, it'll be yellow. Should i take him to the hospital for test and treatment? Mum doesn't want me to. Said the herbs is better.
This is my first child and i don't want to make mistakes. I just feel so bad that he's not okay

The back pain might be as a result of the spinal injection you were given. Are you resting? Please just go and get checked for the bleeding and the fever. It might not be anything serious. But please try and rest please. Your body is still healing.

But rather it's my butt that is pitch black .... It's so funny when I bath and I see the contrast ... Any one got that ?

Lol. Every preggie mama and their unique pregnancy mark. For some, their entire tummy will be pitch black, for others its their face. For me, it was my bwest that turned charcoal black.
