My major fear is the man hurting the child. Because if he can beat her up with a baby inside her, the child doesnt matter to him at all. I just wish i had finished my law degree, i'll specialize in taking up cases like these pro bono and make sure the man stays behind bars

She even has a handwork already. She designs clothes and i'm sure she can manage with that. But you know now that she is very heavy and almost due, it'll be hard to work. Even when baby comes, she still might not be strong enough to work. That's her major fear. How she's going to cope. Because the mum cannot cater for her

Don't worry, just give her sometime please. The loss of a child is extremely difficult to deal with. And why don't you even state what your challenge is here and see if one or two mamas can help?

Thanks for sharing it Enkaydewdrop. We know everyone here has financial responsibilities to handle, so if we can't help this distressed mama out financially, let's at least give viable suggestions on how she can get out of this mess. I'm really worried about her health and the health of her baby because she is due soon. Please let's handle this and help her. We shouldn't have any more sad stories here again, its not too late to save her from the clutches of this man.

We are thinking of contacting an NGO that helps women suffering from domestic violence. Other suggestions are welcome...

After much contemplations, I have decided to share my pregnancy nature with the hope of finding solutions.

Anytime I get pregnant from 5-6 weeks I start throwing up with inability to hold down any food And this goes on till I put to bed. My doctor has given me some drugs(metoclopramide and Zantac) with no improvement. I spit as well.

Please is there something else I can try out?. I really want this pregnancy to be different.

Some pple like me are blessed with spitting till they deliver. My spitting started at 6 weeks. I'm 33 weeks and still spitting despite everything i tried.
As for the morning sickness and the inability to hold food down, ask your Doc about B6. It was my miracle drug that ended my vomiting and morning sickness within 24hrs of taking it. It might work for you

I wanted to share my story with you, but reading through all the comments, i think people here have said it all. There is no point as its obvious ure not willing to budge and it's hurting me badly that you are towing the same lane with my mum all because of that annoying sentence, "what will people say?".

But know this.... Whatever decision you make now, your kids will either hate their father and blame you for your selfishness or they'll forever be grateful to you for putting your life and their lives first. The ball is in your court. But don't cry foul if he hurts either your unborn child and the baby when he/she finally comes out. By then, no one will listen to you because you chose marriage/husband over LIFE. And don't even think God will smile at you, because you are deliberately putting your baby in harms way not caring what will happen to him/her. Person nor dey see fire and then deliberately jump into it thinking God will miraculously intervene, when you know how precious your life is to God. Don't put him to the test.

I had to take a break yesterday o. You know right now its like one week, one trouble. After ANC i had severe heartburn and before i could get home and take antacid, i started throwing up and the vomit was mixed with blood. mummy she may be too big....babies grow faster towards d end. with my first pregnancy, my 38th weeks scan showed she weighed 2.8kg u wont believe it, i put to bed at 39weeks+2days and she weighed 3.7kg. minimize ur carbs intake, instead of semo, eat wheat,, beans, fruits and veggies.

I have done all that a long time ago dear. I dont take anything swallow, be it eba, semo, wheat or fufu cus i vomit it. My favourite food is beans and i take cucumber everyday. So where the excess weight is coming from is what i don't know. I don't want to think about it again cus my dh is tall, my dad and all my brothers are tall and huge. So its possible its just genes. Anyhow he weighs, i'll try and push him out by God's grace

Mum just sent me some bodysuits and sleepsuits yday and most of them were 3-6, 6-9months. There was even 9-12months. Only two newborn 0-3months. I was happy but worried and frowning inside that they wont be useful for a long time.
Now i know she knew what she was doing.

Scan adds or minus, they dont give you actual weight.
Besides you cant control or reduce the weight of the baby na.....
Atinuke was said to be 3.4 +/- 0.4kg at 38weeks....they said the 0.4 means I am not a VBAC candidate.....my tummmy is to big....this one, that one.
Atinuke came out 3.1kg....even in labour, Dr said haaaaa...this baby is big o! Not until she descended into the pelvis did they say..." she's actually small..."
Same with Moyo....every week na scan becos na "big" baby, I born finish na 3.2kg....

Just eat right bae....even of the baby big, you go do am....you go push am out.
No be here we dey see 4.x kg babies born every month?

Some babies can wear up to 4 o. Especially when they poopoo and it stains the cloth

Harmless1, go easy on carbohydrates and sugary drinks esp soft drinks.
Drink lots and lots of water to flush your system and dont hold urine in. Pee as often as you can.


MyEssentialBabyList:
- wipes,diapers: enough for just a month cos gifts dey always yapa.
- baby wardrobe, clothe hanger, laundry basket.
- toiletries. They last very long so one piece is ok for almost like 6/9 months. ( soap, oil, shampoo, mentholatum, eucalyptus oil( for steam inhalation if need be), olive oil( for diaperbum) etc.
- socks, caps, bibs, face towels. You need just a few caps, like 6, cos babies outgrow those tiny caps quickly. Stock up on face towels cos you might end up using like 4 in a day ( it gets lost easily, once it drops you cant use it, your baby may be a typical SpitMaster )
- Go easy on shawls, baby wraps. I only got a really cute white shawl for the naming and a pack of 5/6 flannels. You won't wrap them forever.
- If your bathroom is small with lil or no space, ditch the baby bath. I have a bath tub so my baby bath is uselessly sitting of a shelf. The buckets, bowls and baskets are useful tho.
- bottles, breastpump, bottle brush, sterilizers if they will be bottlefed. You can use a small bucket with tight lid in place of sterilizer.
- breast pad/ padded bra, sanitary towels for mommy.
- Clothes till at least 6 months cos some babies grow so fast that by 41 days, they are wearing 3-6 months wears. By clothes; bodysuits, sleepsuits, outing wears.
At home we mainly wear our onesies esp if the weather is hot, sleepsuits are to sleep in or for cold days. The other wears are for outing mainly.
Try to buy a range eg...2pcs of newborn( dont if scan reveals you are carrying orobo), 3 pcs of 0-3months, 6 pcs 3-6months.etc.
- Ditch shoes ( till like they actually start walking, they dont need shoes) esp tight leather shoes. Opt for shoes made from clothes or wool. They mustnt be tight cos that can hinder the growth on their feet.
- For girls: hair accessories, jewelries etc
- Walkers are nice, but you have to be watchful when the kids are on it cos it makes them a lot more accident-prone.
-Infant car seat.


Those up there are my essentials.
- My baby bed is useless. The kids sleep with us.
- My baby bouncer / rocker has no job to do as soon as she starts sitting.
- They outgrew many clothes before they wore them twice. It got to a point, we had to be baffing up everyday sef.

-I was going to buy a playpen, but I childproofed the house so no need to restrict them.
-I tried someone's high chair buh couldnt keep up with the headturning and plateflinging so I stuck with carry and feed style.

These labels on these clothes reading 0-3months or 3-months, are they reliable guides to buying ? What I mean is, like the Carter and George products with 0-3months label, will a baby be able to fit into them till that 3months? What was your guide in buying clothes that your baby was able to wear to at least 3-4months? How many pairs of clothes will likely be enough ? What about caps, bips?
Want to avoid buying items I won't get to use my money out ooo and unnecessary spending
