Good afternoon Mothers in the house, am 8weeks gone a FTM. Please is it ok for me to keep exercising ? I don't AV any symptom other than slight fatigue. Is it safe to exercise at this stage?

My two attempts at exercise ended badly so now ive ditched it. But surpisingly, i'm not getting as fat as i feared i'll be.
The risk of miscarriage is getting too high these days that is why mamas are discouraging you from exercising. Except of course you're an athletic and your body is already very used to it, then u can manage to do some light exercises

Rejoice with me friends, family, well wishers and clients. Finally it's a wrap. I gave birth to a BOY and GIRL TWIN this afternoon via VD, no tears, no complications. I kept cool all through. The twins are doing fine as well. Thanks for the prayers everyone. It's Jehovah God's doing and it's marvelous in our eyes. BS later!!!

Don't discard those clothes dear. You can use them as a challenge to help you get back in shape after weaning your child. I was mourning mine when someone told me its possible to wear them again after delivery. So dry up your tears

Good evening mamas. So I went for antenatal and did my scan today. Everything is fine but I no understand my scan at all. First, when the scan man couldn't see anything at first and had to ask me to drink enough water and come back when I feel pressed. Did anyone experience this? So i drank water and came back 30 mins later, by then I was super pressed,was just holding the urine. Then he checked and checked before we could see some things I don't really understand. Doesn't look like embryo stuff. Was told to do a repeat scan in 2weeks time and to see the dr. I went and was told to come back in 2wks,dat the uterus is bulky which means there's something there and dat there's a cyst in the right ovary. Asked if I am bleeding or in pain, No to all that. I am almost 10 weeks and now I'm worried o. Thought I'll see the foetus, no matter how small. I snapped the result and attached it to this post. Please, doctors and nurses in the house and all the sabi mamas, can you explain better abeg? Thanks.

The scan report looks very scanty and incomplete for someone who is pregnant.

This was mine at just 5 weeks and they properly analyzed everything. Maybe you should try a different scan centre

Hahahaha. Me, i just raise the boobs and face the fan. Even when there's no heat, the place will just be hot. Its funny to be a FTM. Dh is always busy laughing at me

I'm fine o teamie. Please don't do the countdown else it makes it appear longer. I tried it in 1st trimester and i was always looking at calendar and the clock.

I thought this issue has ended? Its not cool now that you're using a strange moniker to air your mind. It makes it look like its one of the mamas here bashing her, who might also be her friend. I believe there's a level of trust and respect that exists among mamas here irrespective of our age or experience in motherhood. I love it so much that is why this thread is my second home.
Let's try and maintain it. Its not inhuman to speak out of turn sometimes, it happens. But let's all be polite in our responses to each other avoid any further rift.

I'm good dear. I'm just happy my strength is returning in full force. But the frequent hunger pangs no be here o. I get hungry every hour at most 2hrs. And it's not as if I eat fast foods and easy to digest foods. By God's grace I eat quite healthy now. Unlike when morning sickness was troubling my life. If I don't eat early enough it'd be as if I'm going to die. God!

Welcome to the world of unbearable hunger. I now set alarm for every 2 hrs so i don't forget to eat, else the pain can kill

Let's go easy on this in-law issue. It shouldn't cause any division between us. We've always been peaceful since i joined and i love us for that.

Was tested of malaria, 1+... So the doctor gave me proguanil tablets. .but I'm so scared of taking it..had a miscarriage before. .
My friend advised I wait till I pass my first trimester before taking the drugs..

Any implications of not taking it?
I'm thinking of yielding to my friend's advice. .

I had malaria and typhoid in my 5th week. The malaria was treated with quinine 300mg injected into a drip. I asked here and a lot of mamas said its not harmful to take it and it turned out well.
Not treating malaria can cause miscarriage. Treating it with the wrong drugs can also cause miscarriage.
Its best to treat it, but be 100% sure whatever you're given won't harm the baby

@ Mitchy am present ooo, na school make me absent on this thread, am always here but I don't comment. I really thank God for my pregnancy, so far I don't have any complain, thou sometimes I have cramps in my lower Tommy but that is all. I get up in the morning eat and attend every lecture... I know am carrying an angelic baby because God has been good to me.
I pray it continues till my delivery day,
happy bumping to all mama's in the house, and safe delivery too to us all. congrats to all the Mama's that has put to bed, may ur babies bring more joy to your homes.

My scan also showed a fibroid growth at the top of my uterus but according to the doc, its too insignificant to cause any wahala. No fibroid can stand in our way. Don't worry teamie

Don't let this incident make you hate cats forever, because if anything happens to your mum, i bet you'll never have love for a cat again.
When such things happens, you take her straight to the hospital immediately. If the situation persists, find another better hospital to get a secondary opinion. Who knows what is currently spreading in her blood? This is your mum we are talking about o.

IMO am nt in support of violent protest bt if u hear d other side of d story d student were right. The student failed all because dia was a 4month old strike last yr.Wen dey call off d strike d student were nt taught properly all because dey are collecting half salary.The teachers even confessed to d parent wen dey called P.T.A. Thanks for sharing the other side of the story. Its actually enough to get the student angry and upset. That was very inconsiderate. I can imagine some that will miss gaining admission into the university this year because of this terrible decision
But violence is never the answer, especially looking at how young they are. What happens if later in life their university upsets them? They will burn houses?
