Hello everyone. Pls I am applying for my mum’s visit visa. I have just realised I made a mistake when doing the online application. I have put £1700 as money that will be spent personally on the trip, instead of £0 as Ii will be fully sponsoring her trip as usual. The thing is , I already booked her biometrics appointment , and cancellation is not really an option at this point. Can I explain this in a cover letter? 2. She has an account which is clean enough to use for the application. The thing is there is not much outflow and influx into the account, but this is the only one we can use as her other account has so many unexplainable deposits and withdrawals ( her business account) Can we just go ahead with this “clean” account and just explain in the cover letter about this being her personal savings, given we are primarily sponsoring her trip as usual. For context , this is a 5 year visa application ( has had 4 previous applications which were all successful. Thank you all. |
Hello everyone. Pls does anyone know the airlines one could use from Lagos to Heathrow without needing a transit visa? And anyone with recent experience, pls what airlines offer the cheapest flights in the current climate of things? Thanks |
Hello gurus. Pls I am getting worried ooo. I applied for a visa renewal for my mum (a 2 yr visa) since the 28th of September but not received an outcome yet. TLS centre was in VI and she has been to the UK twice on 6 month visit visas. The problem is the I just checked the CAC public search tool t check if her business is still active, as I have been bothered by other people’s refusals, but I have not been able to find the business name. Getting worried as this may be a refusal even though I am the one fully sponsoring the visit. What do you guys think? T for tenks! |
Pls @giselle @justwise and the other gurus, if I made a mistake on a visa application, like an error on the amount of expenses run by me, do I cancel the application and start a fresh one? Or can I just do a cover letter detailing the error? Thank you very much! |
MizMary:Please kindly respond to this . Help a sister!!! |
Hello@ justwise and the gurus! Please we plan to invite my husband’s niece over for a visit to England soon. She is a final year law student in a private university who is currently doing her final exams. We want her to come as part of a promise to her , once she finished her law school. Has anyone else been in our shoes before? What are her chances of getting the visa (being that she is just a student finishing school)? What kind of evidence can she and we provide to support her applications? Please kindly note that we will be open to all opinions, no matter how honest they will be! Thank you. |
Hello All, Please does anyone know the address of the Passport express centre in Maitama, Abuja? It doesn’t state it on google maps ... Thanks . |
Hello just wise and other gurus. I am applying for my mum’s visit visa to UK (2nd visit to UK). Part of the mandatory documents is “evidence of funds clearly available and accessible by you”. On the application , we stated we ll be completely sponsoring her trip, even though she runs a small catering school and her closing balance currently is around 250k due to low patronage due to the pandemic. Pls do I have to transfer the total cost of her visit into her account , so that she can clearly show evidence of these funds in her account? Pls help a sister urgentl! Thank you all! |
MizMary:Pls everyone help!☝ |
Please all the gurus in the house, help me clarify something... What are the chances of a 21 year old who just finished school and is waiting for youth service,in getting a visitor visa if she is visiting her uncle and his wife who are both doctors in the UK? Or What are the chances, compared to the scenario above, if this same girl, applies with her mum who has a government job with lots of ties to Nigeria , with the application stating that they both will be staying for just 2 weeks... NB: Her father is a lecturer in a Nigerian university and her mum is a secondary school teacher, but she ll be sponsored by her uncle who she is visiting... Pls I need to urgent and candid response. Thank you all! |
Yes.we have the death certificate. We applied almost 2 weeks before his death and the visa came out almost a month after he died... Do you have the death certificate to support that? I'm guessing she has the visa before the husband death?[/quote] justwise: justwise: |
So the thing is that we lost our dad 1 month before she travelled. The burial and everything was done before she came to England... |
Hello justwise and all the gurus in the house. Please I have some questions. My mum came to the UK on a visit visa to see me and eventually stayed the whole of 6 months.this was because I lost my dad 1 month before her travel date, and we just needed her to fully grieve and recover ( She was initially meant to stay just 3 months). This was also complicated by the COVID situation in UK. Now she left England in March and we now want to apply for her to come again. 1. What do you think about us applying for her visa again in just 6 months of her return to Nigeria? 2. Would it be an issue that she stayed in UK for almost 6 months instead of the 2 months initially stated? 3.My dad wrote her a letter of support during her last application(attaching evidence too). Now that he has passed on, would it be a disadvantage to her? 4.All the geniuses, pls how best do I have to frame my cover letter explaining what happened in a way to convince the ECO reviewing her application. Thanks everyone!! |
Hello Justwise Justice and all the other gurus,if UKVI calls your sponsors and they nada a mistake as to d date of your purported stay in the UK,does this mean outright refusal? |
Hello Justwise. Pls I need your help urgently. justwise:Pls I am travelling to the UK on a tier 2 visa and resuming on the 6th of September. I just had a baby and I have asked my brother in law who is on a tier 5 visa and relocated April this year to invite my mum. Now he has provided all the supporting documents from his side. But my mum is a caterer who has a small catering school where she teaches about 4 to 5 students per set.for a while, she teaches students and sells some snacks In the school.thats where her source of income is from. She owns a landed property but hasn't gotten the C of O of the land yet (gotten from the Omonile pple). She is married and my dad is a pastor. The total money right now in her account Balance is 370k which she got from her business. Recently, after filling her visa application form, she was employed on a part time basis to teach in a big catering school at Ajah. The problem now is this, will it be a good idea to include her employment letter as part of her supporting documents, since it wasn't first included in the application letter ( cos she was self employed then and has not earned any salary from this new employer) I don't want anytime that 'll complicate her chances of getting a visa. Thank you. Pls this is urgent. Cc:Justwise, Epotek |
@Ekpotek and @justwise plss.. ...what do you suggest. |
