juwoonn:Hi Juwon, Yes, you should be able to use your payoneer card. I think you can add money to your payoneer card with your Nigerian card. I haven't tried it though. Another way is to get someone to transfer the needed amount from another payoneer card. Alternatively, get a Visa card from Access bank (by opening a savings account) or UBA Africa (you don't need an account with them). My UBA Africard works excellently on amazon. |

emmygzy:If you haven't sold any copy then check the KU/KOLL units or KENP Read column. If you see some numbers there, that means some people have read some pages of your book. That is what gave it the Amazon Best Sellers Rank. |

juwoonn:I believe the paid advert should be effective if you can afford it. It is based on PPC (pay per click) model. However you have to start with a minimum of $100. The free promo still works but not as effective as before. This is mainly due to the large influx of new books daily. 1 Like |

jokhen10:As a Nigerian, you have to pay 30% withholding tax to the USA from your Kdp royalty. This is because Nigeria does not have a tax treaty with America. Login to your account and check on the upper right side, you'll see where to click to update your tax information. Go through all the steps to let them know you're in Nigeria, has no tax ID and choose individual as your designation. Also agree to give your signature electronically and then type in your name as signature then click save. |

Godmother:1. Accurate research to find keywords/niches that sell. 2. Good quality and quantity content that beats the competition. 3. Proper formatting. 4. Professional, attractive cover design. 5. Rinse and repeat. If you've done all these, your books will sell well. 2 Likes |

Godmother:Assume that any number you see under the KU/KOLL Units or KENP Read column is pages read. From my calculation, each page read gives $0.0058. This means you need about 172 pages read to get $1. (Don't start dancing yet.) |

Exoticstan:Ero.tica is overcrowded, you'll do better with romance themed books with at least 10,000 words. It has to be written by native English writers though. Business books may not sell if you don't have new information you're bringing to the table as well as serious advertising. If you read my previous post, you'll see were I mentioned recipes as being good keywords for beginners. I know many people who have built substantial regular income by just publishing good quality cookbooks. Mind you, recipes are not just about food. |

johnsondbolaji:The 30% withholding tax applies whether you collect payment by cheque or EFT. There is no way to avoid it. Nigeria does not have a tax treaty with the USA and the other concerned countries. Make enough money and you'll never feel the impact of the tax!!! 1 Like |

BiznessGear:If you are talking about kdp.amazon.com, Nigeria is definitely on the list of countries. Check again. You don't have to and shouldn't use fake information. Use your genuine details and the exact name on your ID (Driver's license, National ID or International passport) |

MULLAH123: 1 There is nothing like US PAYPAL act. for Kdp publishers. Payment is through cheque or EFT. I have told you before to read the thread from the beginning. Payment information has been discussed. 2. Payment for sales are made 60 days from the month the sale is made. Example: January sales are paid by March end, February by April end, March by May end. Once you get your first payment, you will continue to receive money every month because you always have 2,months money in the system (as long as you make sales each month). EFT payment does not have threshold. You'll be paid even if you make $1. |
Business / Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by mk82(m): 6:16pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
MULLAH123:The amount of sales does not always correspond with number of sakes reported on your reports page. It's usually an approximation due to time lapses. The final update is the one that comes at the end of the month. To learn how to withdraw your money (in Nigeria), check previous pages of this thread. |
Business / Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by mk82(m): 2:18pm On Jun 16, 2015 |
Godmother:You can only see the amount for borrows of previous months. Go to reports and click on "Prior Months' Royalties". The previous month's excel sheet is available from the 15th of each month. However, from July 1st, there will no longer be number of borrows. Your Kdp select income will be calculated according to the number of pages customers read on your book. |
Business / Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by mk82(m): 3:52pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
MULLAH123:1. When the free promotion ends, your book reverts to the chosen price automatically. 2. To check sales and borrows, go to your account, click on reports then click on Month-to-Date Unit Sales. |

Godmother:You said 5 books gave you 3 sales and a few borrows (although you didn't mention how long ago those books were published). You should get more than that from 5 books if you have done a really good job. Pick out the best selling 3-4 books under your niche keyword and use their standard to evaluate your books. Check the titles, cover design, chapter arrangement, quantity & quality of content etc then you will know what you have to improve. If you can't beat them, at least match them in all respects. |

KingsleyAni1993:Try to read the thread from the beginning, these questions have been answered. When you register with Kdp, the default payment option is cheque. Later when you get the payoneer account, you will add it and you can start receiving EFT. We don't use domiciliary accounts. Godmother:It's a good start, but you should improve your research and quality of books so as to get. better results. |
Business / Re: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by mk82(m): 3:14pm On May 14, 2015 |
Godmother: 1. 2000 words in MS Word (novel-like writing) will give you 9-12 pages. If it is in the form of recipes, you will get more pages. 2. You can set up an author central page at any point in time and edit as you like. 3. Create your own cover. 4. Look at the covers of the best selling books in your category and do something similar. |

chijike:You can add editorial reviews through Author Central. You don't need anyone to write it for you. Just check what the best books in your niche have and write something similar. You can also quote content from within your book as well as some of the buyer's reviews. |
