Very true.
Apart from buying and selling, true entrepreneurs as you hear about in other climes are few and far between these days.
This is not correct. In the USA, small businesses employ 47.3% of the entire private workforce. A total of almost 60 million people. In fact, small businesses account for over 60% of new jobs created yearly in America.

Hello everyone,
I need your assistance on this matter. I got a mail from Payoneer that they will delete my Uk Account from Nov 19th and they've provided me with the new Uk GBP Account details so I head on to update the new GBP Account details to my KDP but Amazon Kindle rejected it saying that the Swift/ Bic codes ought to have 8-11 digits as against what Payoneer provided in my Account.
Close to 2 weeks now I had been trying to get in touch with Payoneer Customer care to resolve this matter but not possible because everything is Auto response and the answers I'm getting does not address the issues. I sent mail, call and live chat too is not available.
Please anyone that know how I can contact Payoneer support to resolve my query should please show me the way o. I don't want to miss my Uk GBP payouts. Please help me. All the gurus in the house should advice me on this matter.
Thank you.
Why are you adding the UK account? You only need to add the USA account and it will work for all marketplaces.

It was a pleasant surprise yesterday afternoon

59k was paid, no withholding tax.

How much did you buy yours?
Thanks for replying. It was a really nice surprise indeed. 59 Kobo is 17% DY for me, at per with my Zenith.
I'm rolling it back when the price falls hopefully later in the year.
I bought at N3.43 several months ago when you mentioned it.
Thanks for opening our eyes.
May the Lord bless and continue to keep you .

@emmanuelewumi please, can you confirm how much dividend UPDC REIT paid yesterday. My calculations came up with 59 Kobo or 65.5 Kobo per share (taking 10% tax into consideration). I need to be sure.

@Oga MK82. You publish through smashwords, please how do you withdraw? They only pay via PayPal which has banned Nigerians.
I no longer use them. Then they used to allow payment through Payoneer if you cross a particular threshold (can't remember the amount now).

Talking about being frugal, sometimes i really find it difficult being stingy with some things...

I dont care about material stuffs... designers clothes, watches etc
But when it comes to my children education, healthy food, supplements etc i tend to even spend more than my budget, i mean get the very best...
Would you still consider my actions to be reckless spending when there are cheaper alternatives?

A typical example during wifeys pregnancy, i go for the best foreign pregancy drug which cost about 8-9k per pack while the local drugs at federal hospital can be gotten at 500 naira per pack... of course people do take...

Just want to understand you perfectly well when you say being frugal
Frugality cannot standalone. You shouldn't be frugal just for the sake of being frugal. It must be towards an end.
Your level of the practice of frugality is determined by your financial/investment plan and projections, the stage you are on those plans as well as your type of business/occupation.
Depending on how you get money, you should have a percentage or amount set aside at regular intervals to invest towards growing your net worth. Once you've met this target for that period, you can decide to be less frugal with the excess money after meeting your basic needs and responsibilities. The rate of accumulation of wealth is directly proportional to how much of your income you are able to invest periodically.

Take for instance a vehicle purchase. Buying a 1.5M tokunbo car may "eat into" Mr. A's investment capital while it will enhance Mr B's status and help him to do better business
The said Mr A could decide to wait for a year or two during which the 1.5M has aided the growth of his investment and be in a financial position to buy a more expensive car without disrupting his financial plan.

It's easy to be thrift once you get rid of negative/unsupportive social influence. If you want to succeed financially, you must learn not to "send" anybody or greatly reduce the number of people you "send"

Thank so much, it's niche research I saw there and I want keyword research. I mean hiwto select search term my book will show for . And how to get good keyword to put in the 7 box.
Just type your main keyword in the Amazon search box and you will see similar search terms drop down under it just like on Google. Those are the other keywords to add.

Baba hi, please I got to know about kdp through this your thread and I have already uploadef 10 books but I am confused on DRM option.

After about 25days with on one sale. I am wondering if not tampering with the way DRM is set has been the reason for it. My books are being freely downloaded but one sale since 24th of December.

Should I always leave the DRM option the way I meet it.

Thanks
DRM has nothing to do with your book's ability to get sales.

pls,I just wrote a book and wanting to start publishing after all I have heard.
My question is....1: is it a must to add table of contents in my book?the book doesn't have too many pages, and for each points I surround the writeups on, they have few pages or not what I will consider as chapter worthy and I don't want to do that since it seems adding table of contents will make you add chapters too...i think.

2,I am using my phone from editing, typing, converting to epub, cover design, and hopefully publish....pending when I get a new system, can this work?

3,since in kindle they don't have back cover only front cover design, where does one write the about the author, is it compulsory?
P.s,I don't even want to.

Pls help a brother and respond.
-If the book is at least a few thousand words, you can add table of contents. You don't have to call them chapters. Just write each topic line by line in the TOC. E.g.
Introduction
First Step
Second Step
etc
-Your smartphone can work but it's going to be tedious and difficult to spot errors.
-About the author is not necessary.

Hello Sir
I don't seem to find the category of this book when viewed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W5SP78R/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=QJFBGGYMHCF69TX2H7MY

I have chosen different category yet when I view the book, I don't see it been displayed.
The categories will show when the book starts selling.

My loyalty sir.
After reading a lot I decided it is time to take a step.

I outsourced a 10500 words and published the book on the 9th.

I did 3days promo and I am having nice downloads, which I am impressed.

But the book came out just 43 pages.

Also, I am seeking for a good narrator for royalty share do you have any to recommend?

How do I gain more exposure for my book.
Congrats on your new book. I don't have a narrator to recommend.

hello bro, i will need clarification on this. Wouldnt a pen name affect your main registration on kdp as well as transactions? Cos,i guess we are advised to use our real name so it will match with our bank acct details for easy transaction. I would prefare a pen name than using my real name. Please someone should speak extensively on this. Thanks
Pen names have nothing to do with the name in your account (your real names). Pens names are strickly for your books. A pen name is just a way to give buyers of the book the kind of author name they expect for the type of book you have created. It's also a sensible approach when you have books on different unrelated topics.

Amazon and other publishing platforms deal with your real person when it comes to account issues, payments etc. But they know you are the one behind those pen names.

How do you launch apart from free promo
The answer is in the post you quoted. I create ONLY keyword based books. They propagate naturally and start selling within a few hours or days.

What if i dont have money to run facebook and other ads in promoting my ebook? Is there still a way to market the ebooks to a wider audience and thus be able to make sales? For should i forget about kndle epublishing without funds for running ad campaigns?
You don't need to run any type of advert to promote your book. Just ensure it is a keyword based book. Keyword based books start selling within days sometimes within a few hours of publishing.

my table of content is very expository. can anyone see my table of content when they have not purchased the book? or they will need to purchase before they can see my table of content... pls its important?
Potential buyers can see your TOC by simply clicking on the cover of the book. Amazon has a "Look Inside" feature for books.

Launching New Services

For those who cannot afford the Mentorship program, you now have the option to purchase the below services in isolation:

1. Profitable Keyword

I provide you with a profitable keyword you can publish your book in, including suggestions for your book title (and subtitle).

Price - N5000

2. Book Outline

I provide you with a word document book outline for your intended book. This is basically a document you present to your ghostwriter telling him/her what topics you want your book to cover (chapter by chapter breakdown). It helps to guide your writer(s) so as to minimize the amount of fluff they have in your book (when writers run out of ideas on what to write, they tend to fill up your book with fluff just to make up the word count required).

It also helps you to prevent fraudulent writers (on upwork, fiverr etc.) that sell you work they have done for other people, exposing you to copyright issues with Amazon. With a detailed outline, you take away some of the power from them and tell them exactly what YOU want (as opposed to them giving you what THEY want)

I'll do research in the niche your book is in so as to figure out customer pain points, how you can differentiate your book and, consequently, the topic of each chapter of your book.

I'll also suggest what you can use for your lead magnet (should you want to build an email list)

Price - N20,000

3. Access to my writers

I give you access to my writers who you can take your outline to and expect to get quality work at a fair price. They can also help you create your lead magnet (a document you give your readers in exchange for their email address). With this lead magnet, you can start growing your email list of subscribers who you can market things to e.g. online courses, affiliate marketing products, your other books etc.

Price - N10,000

4. Set up your email autoresponder

If you provide me with your lead magnet (should be less than 10MB in size), the email address you want to use and a physical mailing address, I'll help you create a free Mailchimp email autoresponder account, design your landing page and incorporate the link to the landing page inside your Kindle book (word manuscript) so that when your readers click on it, they'll be taken to the landing page where they'll input their email address in exchange for your lead magnet.

You can also use this link on your website or Instagram account to build your email list (especially if you have an Instagram store where you sell stuff e.g. bags, shoes, books etc).

Furthermore, I'll also help you write up the subscriber welcome email. If you provide links to your other books on Amazon, I'll include them in the subscriber welcome email so they can purchase it as well(if they wish to).

Price - N20,000

5. Set up Amazon Marketing Ads For Your Book

If you have the budget to run ads to your book, I'll help you set up AMS ads that will increase exposure to your book and sales.

Price - N20,000

If you are interested in purchasing any of the above packages, shoot me an email at ObinnaEzeanaka@yahoo.com

Note - As these services are new, I'm testing to see how they'll affect my schedule. If I get overwhelmed with demand, these prices will go up.
Good day HeliosHay
Two of the several beneficiaries of this thread called my attention to your recently reinforced and incessant push to sell your mentorship and other services on this thread.
I can see you have been answering questions and providing some useful information. I also have seen that you have answers to any question or challenge thrown at you about the sincerity of your intentions (by people who suspect that you are a scammer).

However, you have continuously littered almost every page of this thread From February 11th, practically begging people to pay for your mentorship and other services.

The purpose of starting this thread, started in 2013, was not to make money. It was is to reveal what I discovered about KDP which later evolved to online publishing and build a community of successful Nigerian online publishers. The one on training and DVD of publishing materials that people pay me for started after many people requested that I make them available and they will pay. I have not and will not advertise these or any services. It takes a lot of my time and is a great distraction to the increasing targets of my publishing business.

Many people have had great financial growth through this thread (I am talking of substantial regular monthly income, cars bought and houses built). Some of them did not even pay me or any other person one kobo. We want to maintain the spirit of this thread by keeping it non-commercial.

Please, take your mentorship and other services to your own thread, build your followership and get the “customers” you seem to be in dire need of. We don’t want it here. Stop littering this thread with your adverts for mentorship and other services.

I believe if you truly are making the amount of money shown on the screenshots you posted; you will not be here begging people night and day to pay for your mentorship. I had to double the fee for my one-on-one training to discourage people from coming because of the burden of providing support for the large community of people that I have trained.

I stopped commenting on this thread regularly because I saw that we now have a good number of people capable of providing answers to the questions of new entrants into the business although I still answer all requests through email. It’s unfortunate that you see it as an opportunity to make money.

Again, take your mentorship and other services to your own thread, build your followership and get the “customers” you seem to be in dire need of. We don’t want it here. Stop littering this thread with your adverts for mentorship and other services.
Thank you.
Mk82
