Young man, I am so sorry to hear the bad news about your GF. You have your whole life in front of you. I know it is hard, but please move on. Have yourself checked and do not have another relationship until you know you are cleared of HIV.

Learn your lesson, don't make this mistake again. Always practice safe sex, and if your serious in a new relationship, the both of your get tested. Don't listen to the romantics in this thread. They are living a dream or fantasy. They are trying to get you to live their dream. Live your own, do what will make you happier in the future.

Poor guy, your mind is split between your girl and you church.  The stronger split shall win.

Now I wonder about your spirit.  Is it split between the love your your church or the love of you girl?

I am this way, mother left me when I was 5. I put a lot of women through hell. I still have a hard time loving and also I have abandonment issues (insecurity). I am not needy though. It is hard for me to work for the love of an intimate relationship. Its like your never motivated for the feeling of love from a woman in a relationship.

I have lots of love for others though.

I had to go to a lot of therapy to resolve the issue. I still have the issue, it is part of the inner child within me; however, I do not allow this part of me to make my decisions. I had to learn this.

When I recognize that I am in a environment that triggers my emotional response. I comfort myself like a child, but I am trying to help that part of me that feels abandoned. I talk to myself and tell myself everything is going to be ok. She loves you and will not abandoned you, and If so, I will never leave you. I will be here to take care of you forever. That is part of what I was taught.

My advise is not to deal with this type of person until they fix themselves. It will never work.

Tell her to find a poor man that is ready to pop some babies into her tummy. The poor man will be happy to do it, so he can live off of her.

How about a case of someone's wife who is raped by a gang of men.
How about a case of a young child who is raped by a relative such as a father or uncle.
How about a case of chosing between a fetus to live or a mother to live during pregnancy because of complications.

I think all women should have the right to choose themselves about aborting. Who am I to tell your wife or sister to have the baby of a rapist. Or to die giving birth to a child.

One solution to cut down on abortions is to teach that its ok to masturbate, MouthAction, and maybe for some religions to start preaching about protected sex. I bet that might cut down on the number of abortions.

Introvert? Extrovert? Who cares. Guys just want women to be themselves so we really know what we are getting.

I do not know about Nairlaland women, but everyone is the same genetically. Only difference are cultural, hence the difference are social constructs.
Culturally I have a problem getting along with american women. I am curious about Nigerian or African women.

Until I have my first African woman experience, I will be playing by myself on those cold and lonely nigths. Oh I will still have my internet to keep me company.

This is a funny post. Sometimes I read the ads of girls looking for men. They are so judgemental and want:

A tall man that is sexy to them

A man with lots of money to take care of them

A strong man to protect them

A white man or light skinned man to make their children closer to whiter

A man with a nice car to drive them

A man with a home to shelter them

A man that wants them to stay home and not work

A gentleman to treat them good

An educated man

And then when I look at their picture, I am shocked to see such an ugly woman.

Nice post, it may work, but guys like me and many others do not notice the obvious.  What usually works on me is good eye contact into my eyes and a smile. Not to long but nonverbal communication that is clear.

Come on man!!! She playing hard to get; she don't want to give it up and make herself look like a loosy goosy. You would not respect that way. Now go play the courtship game with her. Now go!!! Take a shot of whiskey, grab your testicles and be a Man!!! Give her what she wants!!!

For this sort of activity, I would not turn them in.  Come on people, this is your family.  Your blood.  Let someone else serve justice, it will happen eventually.  Don't cross the line of family loyalty.  Keep yourself away from them, because you don't want to get caught up in that garbage. Stay safe.

No doubt, I'd stick to love.  But it would have to be real love.  Not one of those situations where your married for convienence. What else is greater than love?  True love must be greater than life, because there is sacrificial love, and look what Christ did.

That's a risky situation.  I have had female co-workers (friends) put the moves on me, it happens. So why would your girl friend put herself in a situation where old friends might make a move on her.

Imagine a scenario between you and your GF where you get into a fight with her.  She gets hurt and and hooks up with one of her so called guy friends;  she is also confused, because of her hurtful emotions.  Some guys are like wolves and can sense when a women is in need of sympathy.  The guy takes advantage of the situation.

The end result is her regret for her actions.  She has to live with that; may never even tell you what happened.  

The point is don't put yourself in a compromising situation.  If your in a serious relationship or marriage, only meet friends of the opposite sex in groups, but never alone.

If the women here don't believe me, come my way.  I'll be your friend next time you have a lovers spat.  I'll put my arms around you and hold you close.

Money is a higher social class.  Face it, the higher social class creates more advantaged opportunities for you and your offspring.

From a social point of view, a poor person will not have the advantage of an education.  A rich person has the advantage of an education and also building future opportunistic relationsips with other rich people.  Yet the poor person is genetically the same as the poor person.  At least as babies they start out the same.

There is no such thing as the theory, "Survival of the Fittest" .  It is really, "The Survival of the Opportunist"
