Romance / Re: Long Distance Relationships Good Or Bad by mntpaul(m): 5:34pm On Aug 21, 2009
LD's are very hard. I am in one and we are making it. It takes a huge commitment, it is the greatest emotional and spiritual commitment that I have ever had. I konw if we survive this we can survive anything. I think it is well worth it if your looking for a life mate. One thing I like about it is that in our letters and phone conversations, your more free to express how you really feel, because it seems that social barriers are let go. So LD allows for more openness, so you can really let the person know how you feel about things. Seems to be less reservations. I believe it also builds a better foundation for a relationship. I believe, if you guys make it your will be strong.

One of the greatest values I learned of LD is you learn not take the simple things for granted. For me even to hold my partners hand or a kiss has great relevance. LD tempers the heart. We both have learned how to really appreciate the other. We are not in an open relationship. We are committed. Sometimes I think how easy it would be to walk away. But my partner's strength and commitment feeds you and your strong again. We have invested a lot of energy into our relationship. It is well worth it and is greater value than anything in the world. When things get tough, we return to our relationship to draw on its strength. Sometimes you have to fight for you relationship. Like some post here are discouraging or worldly. But love is beyond the grasp of the world, so find the strength to live beyond worldly worries or fears. Eventually, you will discover the whole world will revolve around your relationship. Just think about it, think about how society and the world is set up. Everything is made more for pairs. You will begin to see life as it accommodates the two of you. So I am cheering for you. If you and your partner believe, I will believe also. Assume you will make it and it will happen.

Good luck

Romance / Re: My Guy Is Doubting Me by mntpaul(m): 8:45pm On Jun 01, 2009
your allowed to beat your girlfriend? Nigeria has some weird customs. Oh well, maybe your women are dedicated, cause they been taught to be a whipping post.

Anyways, sounds like a trust issue. Or bf not spending enough time really loving you. These kind of behaviours are fear based. Mayby someone cheated on him in the past, or maybe he is afraid of loosing control. Who knows, either way fear based love is not love. It's more of a love of himself and his own identity. It's a selfish love.

You should re eval your relationship. Don't get married, until you know he can really love you.

Romance / Re: Is It Right To Date This Girl by mntpaul(m): 12:28am On Jun 01, 2009
Ok in Texas, its ok to date, but I would not; however, I was once accused along with other three other men of having sex with a minor in the state of Louisiana. The only thing that saved me was that my father always told me never to mess with jail bait. I was 19, she was 17; I steered clear of her, and never was alone with this girl. The police arrested the other three men.

I'm just saying hey man, just wait until she is a legal adult or you have parental consent in writing. Follow the law, I know guys get away with it, but still Y risk you life.

First off Naija brothers, do not consider African American woman, Think about it. You can hook up with a african american woman, who straightens her hair, bleaches her skin, wears blue contact lenses, all trying to look as white as possible. OR You can just hook up with the real thing (white woman). White women like black men here. Another thing, Black women in U.S. . want some nice strong good looking black African brother, with money to take care of them and their children from other men. But they only offer you a wiggly jello butt and a vampire mentality. White women treat you good, I know for a fact.

Religion / Re: Homosexuality And Religion by mntpaul(m): 3:47am On May 10, 2009
We are all sinners. How come people that fornicate are not condemned like homosexuals? How about thieves and liars? I think and have lustful thoughts. How come a Gay is treated worse? All sinners should be treated equal. I wonder if the church discriminates against people who are Gay.
