The costs incured was for the babies. A situation that is not exactly predictable.
When a woman knows that the pregnancy is a risky one- like in this case multiple birth, the natural thing is to ensure a safe delivery.
It would have been irresponsible of her to remain in Nigeria when she had access to better treatment.
If the politicians didn`t mess it all up she would have preferred giving birth at home surrounded by loved ones.
There is no reason for anyone to make news out of this issue.
Normally any hospital ought to treat a patient even if they cant afford it.
Anyone abusing this woman is not being fair.
Having so many kids and all survived is a sensation.
I tell you if this was a hospital in Nigeria they would have waved that bill and well meaning Nigerians would even have donated.
Well this again is a subtle form of racism.
Now don`t come with the woman can afford it. In Europe with the health care system no one pays such an amount .
That is because they are insured.
For those who think they can`t get a visa- you are pathetic.
